12/06/2026: We had a great time, the food was excellent, the prices weren't exactly cheap, but the fish was very fresh and delicious. Very friendly and attentive service.
09/06/2026: Tables in the Capalbio square. Great atmosphere. Friendly service and friendly staff. Very fair prices and generous portions. Good-quality, traditional Tuscan dishes. A must for anyone stopping in Capalbio.

06/06/2026: The place is nice and welcoming, but despite our reservation, we still had to wait. When ordering, much of the menu wasn't available—potatoes for side dishes, sliced steak, etc.—after taking our orders, we asked if we could have all the dishes at once so we could have lunch together. Of course, they arrived in fits and starts, with bread only arriving after the appetizer was finished, after several requests. We're sorry for the inconvenience, but we hope things will be better next time.

03/05/2026: We went to the Il Portico farmhouse in Capalbio for lunch with six friends. The restaurant is well-presented, with the classic country farmhouse feel: a beautiful garden with a pool and both indoor and outdoor spaces. The atmosphere is pleasant, comfortable, and spacious.
The food was good, well-cooked, and of high quality, with a decent house red wine and an overall good value. The big problem, however, was the service: the first courses didn't arrive together. Four tortelli with Chianina beef ragù were served promptly, while the pappardella with wild boar and the pici with artichokes and pancetta arrived about 20 minutes later. The result: we all ate out of sync, which was definitely annoying and unacceptable for a group lunch.
Honestly, it's unclear what happened in the kitchen, but such a disservice completely ruins the experience. Good food, but the organization needs revising. I don't think I'll be back.
02/05/2026: We were there recently... very good food, good service, a 4 for the hospitality... smile!
Perhaps the prices are medium/high for some dishes; in the end, a plate of prosciutto with five fried pizza balls cost €12, a bit steep!
You could do better!

05/05/2026: The villa offered everything we could possibly need. The kids loved the animal farm and the fresh fruit and veggie farm. The spa was just what I needed after touring the countryside. Great experience, sweet staff and excellent meals. Thank you!

28/06/2026: It's the same old story...in Argentario, it's almost impossible to find a serious, professional establishment at reasonable prices.
It's a beach resort that transforms into a restaurant-like establishment in the evening, devoid of any soul or attention to hospitality.
The menu, like almost everywhere else, is full of asterisks indicating frozen products, except for a few rare, if lucky, local catches. The menu is banal and boring, a copy-paste of any mediocre restaurant in the area.
Very basic service, sky-high prices that are inconsistent with the overall setting...
23/06/2026: We booked dinner at the restaurant: the location is enchanting, with almost all the tables overlooking the sea... but the prices are decidedly high, both overall and for the price. We dined there, but we had to turn off the light and eat in the dark because our plates and wine were covered in all kinds of flies. Various insects were landing on the table and on our food. What a shame.

19/07/2026: A family dinner at a table surrounded by greenery and a panoramic view. A fabulous braised beef and Michelin-starred dishes. Friendly and attentive service.
14/07/2026: Overrated restaurant. Wine in glasses (Morellino di Scansano) poured cold from the fridge, terrible because it had no flavor, so we reported it!! We changed glasses and bottle, but the "sorfa" was still the same!! Wine cold from the fridge (we waited about 30 minutes to drink it), a little warmer, I must say, very good!
- But a fridge that keeps bottles at the ideal temperature (16/18 degrees), right?
€4.50 per person cover charge was excessive, especially considering the basket contained two slices of bread and mediocre savory frappe.
Wild boar cacciatore and fried lamb chops were nothing special!! Just expensive 😅. The dessert was very good, but it was lost on the plate, the quantity was nonexistent.
The staff was very kind, and the place was beautiful, but that's about it! I wanted to post photos, but we were so disappointed we didn't even take them.

12/05/2026: We had a wonderful lunch here during our trip and can highly recommend this lovely little restaurant. My wife enjoyed the Tagliatelle Ragout, and I had the seafood pasta—both dishes were absolutely delicious, fresh, and full of flavor.
The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and we felt genuinely well taken care of throughout our stay. A perfect place for a relaxing and enjoyable stop, with excellent food and friendly service. We would definitely come back!

10/05/2026: I stayed there for a vacation over the May 1st long weekend. The room price, including breakfast, was reasonable considering the time of year. The breakfast is excellent, but the savory selection is limited; there are many sweet options. It has a lovely pool, and the location is in the countryside, very quiet. It's about 6 km from Capalbio Scalo and the beach. There are rooms reserved for guests with pets, so they are also welcome in the restaurant. We didn't eat at the restaurant. It produces and sells olive oil. I recommend it for a vacation.

10/06/2026: Dinner in a welcoming place, very friendly staff, but above all the dishes were all very good, the gnocchi with garlic, oil, chili pepper and clams are amazing... I highly recommend it.
07/06/2026: We stopped for lunch at Le Burle after 2:00 PM, one of the few restaurants open in the area. They seated us in the back of the restaurant, which is cooler and airier.
We ordered sautéed mussels and pici cacio e pepe with bottarga. The mussels were truly excellent, especially the flavorful sauce that accompanied them. The pici were also excellent, although the bottarga was barely noticeable. Prices are quite high: most entrees are around €20, with the exception of the pasta with meat sauce.
The service, however, was less convincing. Despite the restaurant being sparsely crowded, the staff seemed inattentive, engaging in lengthy private conversations with some customers at the next table.
It would be interesting to also offer a version of cacio e pepe without bottarga, to offer a more affordable alternative.

24/07/2026: Had dinner the other night. Never again will I go to this kind of restaurant. The owner is aggressive with her prices set on the spot, and every time I have the mysterious problem that if you pay with a debit card, it doesn't work. They don't have a signal, and then they go into a rage. What's the point? Put up a sign that says "cash only." And then learn some manners, as well as knowing how to cook.
To be avoided.

10/07/2026: The place is special, very romantic. The food is good. Unfortunately, we felt a bit like strangers. It's nice when you're welcomed warmly even in a new place. Maybe next time will be different.
02/06/2026: On the recommendation of the hotel where we stayed, we decided to have dinner at Frantoio. I was delighted by the staff's kindness until we ordered the famous tortelli with butter and sage ragù, with so much cinnamon that it covered all the remaining flavor. I understand it may be a local dish, but it's good manners to include cinnamon, because as a Roman, if I bring a carbonara or a gricia to the table, I don't bring it with porcini mushrooms. My girlfriend had a stomach ache and is now locked in the bathroom with fennel tea, something not even Kubrick would make like this. That said, the waitress assured me she hadn't added it to the bill and had removed it, but the fact remains that it is there, with a discount of what? €7??? Making me pay €12 anyway. As a restaurant lover, I'm used to leaving waiters tips of €10-15, and honestly, I feel more than a little bit taken for a ride. Never again, because I'm not saying the customer is always right, for goodness sake, but I'm not even going to make fun of them like this. There's always room for improvement, after all. 14/05/2026: I returned on May 1st after a few years, and the impression is still the same: a very simple restaurant where you can eat good food at a fair price. Of course, when you walk in, you know you won't find world-class culinary excellence, but you know everything will be fair and honest. The service, food, and final bill were good. I would go back.
