Essenza In Grosseto

From breakfast to dinner, this place offers a truly enormous variety of dishes, desserts, and even delicious gelato. Everything is 100% plant-based and delicious. An honorable mention goes to the breakfast, as the selection is so wide and all the options are delicious. The owners are fantastic, the staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is very welcoming and clean. Definitely worth a try, especially if you're not vegan—you'll be pleasantly surprised! 😋😋

Unfortunately, I didn't get the chance to try what they're serving. We came at 21:40 after walking 3 km just to visit Essenza, we were super excited as we discovered vegan restaurant in quite a small town. We planned to go for dinner or drinks and then the next day for breakfast. It was supposed to be open until 23:00. We arrived and I've asked if they still serve food. One of the ladies said the kitchen is closed. So I asked if they can serve drinks. She frowned and glanced at the watch and responded they might give us 20 minutes. So I asked what time they close normally and she responded that at 22. I mentioned that the internet and the information on the door says it's 23, to which they replied that they had changed their opening hours. Not sure when, as I found another review saying they arrived to find the door locked although, according to the internet, it should be open. We left really disappointed, as we walked 6 km for nothing. We love supporting vegan businesses, that's why I am giving 3 stars instead of 1. They should update their opening hours online, as this shows a lack of respect for their customers. The staff don’t speak English, but they understand a little, and I understand Italian, so we managed to make ourselves understood somehow. They looked quite unpleasantly surpised that we came, which would be understandable 20-15 mins before closing, but it's not our fault they close earlier they declare... We were so disappointed that we decided not to go for breakfast there, as who knows when it opens...

All the desserts are excellent, the ice cream is among the best I've ever tasted. I highly recommend this place for both the food and its central location in Grosseto, with parking available.

Simply wonderful. Whether for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, this place is the perfect choice. A well-kept location, friendly and helpful staff, and delicious food. We went several times during our short vacation and were always satisfied. A special mention goes to the cinnamon roll we tried for breakfast and the tomato meatballs. The ingredients are fresh, high-quality, and crafted to perfection. Another plus is that the place has a shop where you can buy vegan products and local foods (olive oil, beer, and wine).

Lately, I've had a hard time eating out because prices are rising and quality is declining. Today, however, I found a place that deserves to continue its journey with flying colors. The welcome and quality were excellent. I also appreciated the refined cuisine, even though I'm not vegetarian. The dishes were priced around €15, but they were plentiful. The dish pictured, dessert, and coffee, and I was full. Congratulations! PS: The mice made me feel like a child again.

I stayed for 1 week in Grosseto and I’ve been every day at Essenza :) The staff was very nice and friendly ! A loooot of options for healthy food, very good coffee. I really recommend!

WOW! Found by chance during a trip to Tuscany (we're from Bologna). Completely vegan menu, with the option of a three-course meal for €15, including water and service charge. Delicious desserts! The location is truly beautiful, very quiet and green. We'll gladly return ❤️
