02/11/2025: A quick trip to Florence on November 1st with the family. We booked the same day (I recommend booking), trusting the positive reviews. We couldn't have chosen better. We were greeted with genuine warmth by the owner and with genuine kindness (unprecedented!!) from the staff working the dining room. We ordered a mixed charcuterie board (abundant and delicious) and a large Florentine steak that satisfied three hungry mouths... incredibly tender meat, cooked to perfection, and delicious on its own without any additional toppings. We finished the meal with tiramisu, the real tiramisu!!! What can I say? For the courtesy of the entire staff, their ability to make guests feel welcomed into a "family" and not just a restaurant, and the excellent menu, I recommend it to anyone looking for a place to enjoy typical Tuscan dishes, with a good quality-price ratio and the wonderful feeling of being at home.

17/10/2025: One of the best gelatos in Florence. Extraordinary "mordilatte" flavor. The gelateria offers many new flavors, such as a themed weekend dedicated to tiramisu. Highly recommended for those who aren't afraid of the scale!

03/10/2025: Last night, recommended by a local friend, I went to this beautiful restaurant just steps from the main square in Figline Valdarno. Upon entering, I found a refined atmosphere and a warm, courteous welcome. The service was impeccable, and the food was superb. Highly recommended, and I'll definitely be back!

05/11/2025: Excellent service. Our secondi was a bit late coming out (according to them, because, frankly, I did not notice) and they apologized by proving a free side dish, which was very kind. The staff was very nice as we practiced our Italian. The food was excellent. We had the Bruschetta with Fresh Tomatoes as an appetizer and the Pappardelle al Cinghiale (wild boar) and Maccheroni al Ragù Fiorentino di Tito as our primo — both absolutely delicious. For our secondi we ordered Polpette della Nonna in Umido (never have I had meatballs this soft) and the Filetto della Nostra Bistecca alla Brace con Lardo al Tartufo (the fillet with truffles)… they warn you about how it’s cooked (rare). I tried to finish it but I was SO full. But somehow I managed to fit in dessert… especially because I love panna cotta. Would definitely come again! Grazie e bravo!

30/11/2025: Last night, we had a wonderful experience at Chef Filippo Saporito's Leggenda Dei Frati. The venue is simply enchanting, located inside Villa Bardini and boasting a breathtaking view of the city. Hard work, research, and thoughtfulness create a wealth of flavor. The cuisine is deeply rooted in the local area, and the wine selection is the result of long and meticulous dedication. Some courses are already missing as soon as you finish them, but the crescendo of flavors in each dish makes you want to see what else the chef will delight you with. The bread, too, is incredible, masterfully presented in all its forms, creating the perfect pairing with the dishes. The desserts are simply a triumph of flavor. Every detail of the dishes exudes love and care. An experience truly worth experiencing.

11/10/2025: I cannot, in good conscience, give this restaurant a good rating. This is the worst Michelin-star experience I’ve encountered; in fact, it’s the most disappointing meal of my entire trip to Italy. The presentation is beautiful, but the flavors missed the mark completely. The sweet shrimp dish is the only one I somewhat enjoyed, but it was merely scraps in the soup. It feels ridiculous to be served such a minimal portion for such an expensive meal. Can I please have a full shrimp? The tiny bits in there do not constitute a full serving. Then came the pasta, which was bland, and the stuffed pasta resembled mush—what was that? I completely lost it with the next dish: chicken liver. First off, another bread heavy dish after a few bread dishes already. The balancing and pace of this meal is completely off. Secondly, I usually relish, as I love pâté, foie gras, and similar delicacies. However, this dish tasted overwhelmingly bloody, making it inedible. The pigeon, which I am familiar with and grew up eating, also had an unpleasant taste, oozing with blood. I love a medium rare steak but this dish literally tasted like blood. At this point, I felt nauseated and decided to ask for the check before dessert. As for the bill, the waitress initially told us the drinks were complimentary, so we decided to give them a try. That turned out to be untrue. We were charged for everything, bringing our total to a staggering $450, which is excessively high, even by US standards. We left feeling robbed, and I even experienced stomach pain afterward. If you think you’ll enjoy a nice view during dinner, you are in for a disappointment. We were greeted with trees completely blocking the city skyline, only getting a glimpse of it after our meal. Additionally, I noticed there were only three tables occupied in the entire restaurant on a Friday night, which was quite telling. I wish I could have my time and money back. This was for our wedding anniversary and truly completely ruined our day. It’s an incredibly disappointing experience, and I can’t help but feel frustrated thinking about it.

10/10/2025: I was staying in a village in Tuscany, spending every day indulging in pasta and saying, "Delicious! Delicious!" But just when I was starting to feel a bit heavy in my stomach, a staff member at a local restaurant recommended this place to me. "There's a great restaurant nearby. The husband is Italian and the wife is Japanese." I didn't have high expectations when I went, but after one bite I was blown away! It seems to be very popular with Italians, as the restaurant was nearly full, with some customers ordering takeout. It was my first time experiencing such delicious Japanese food at such an affordable price abroad.

04/10/2025: My girlfriend and I had lunch on a beautiful autumn day. The menu offers very interesting dishes, based on Japanese cuisine with international influences. The dishes are truly well-prepared; tasty and well-balanced in flavor. The tuna tartar with guacamole and a sprinkling of spring onions is truly commendable! The wine selection is good, mostly Italian. The atmosphere is very informal, with excellent and discreet service. A truly pleasant surprise. Well done ✌️

06/11/2025: On the last day of my trip to Florence, I was wandering around looking for souvenirs to take back to Korea when I came across a long line. Out of curiosity, I read Google reviews, and they were all rave reviews, with many recommending cantucci, so I decided to try them. They were bigger, plumper, and softer than the biscotti I'd known. The owner was very friendly, and even took care to recommend them, worrying about the cookies crumbling on the plane. While waiting for my gift to be wrapped, he let me sample a few, and they were all delicious. I brought them to a gathering in Korea and shared them, and everyone was impressed. You might not know this, but Korean snacks are incredibly delicious. And yet, they were still worth it. As someone else wrote, I regretted buying only a few. I didn't have enough for 36 cantucci. If I go back, I plan to buy more.

19/10/2025: My best friend and I found this place by luck. After a whole afternoon at the pumpkin patch, we took a recommendation from one of the staff, and... thank goodness we asked and found the right person. The atmosphere is truly beautiful: well-kept, welcoming, and aesthetically pleasing. You feel at ease, and a lovely, intimate atmosphere is created that allows you to relax and enjoy the evening in complete serenity. The music is light and soothing, and you don't have to shout to chat with someone. I loved it. The food is sooooo good. We had a half-slice of salami and brie, and 1) the dough was incredibly light and crispy, and 2) the ingredients were top-quality. We also had a vegetable fry, and that too was exceptional: the batter was incredibly light and not at all greasy, and the vegetables were crunchy. I should add that the drinks were perfectly made and not diluted with too much ice. They were filled to the brim and were to die for. The staff was super friendly, well-dressed, and never pushy. Even though we'd finished eating, they never let us know they wanted us to leave, letting us enjoy the evening as much as we wanted. I don't give 5 stars easily, because I like to evaluate every aspect of a place and point out to the reviewers what's good and what's not, just to be fair. The quality here, however, is top-notch. So, if you're passing through, it's highly recommended. Kudos to the entire staff.
