20/03/2026: It must be tough being away from home. As a Sichuan native, I ordered a cold pig ear salad and their signature chicken feet, but they were awful and a waste of money. The pig ear salad was overcooked, too mushy, and the knife skills were terrible. The chicken feet were stale and greasy.

One of the best wine tastings we've done.
Everything explained perfectly, table perfectly set, wine and bites was absolutely fantastic.
Shop and surroundings really good and all is very beautiful.
Definitely recommend if you look for a wine tasting.
Restaurant closed that day, so could not try the food, but the still arranged coffee for us on the terrace afterwards.
Love to come back!
Just make sure you go to the fattoria and not to the castle or any of the hotels. This was a bit unclear on the booking.

I came to try a schiaccata fiorentina and I wasn't disappointed!
I was looking for somewhere reasonably priced and I was pleasantly surprised to find, in this very touristy city, a whole schiaccata, very generously filled (honestly, I wasn't hungry anymore after the first half) and for "only" €7.30 (which is a very reasonable price compared to the average). A great experience that didn't disappoint!
21/04/2026: It was delicious, I especially loved the stracciatella pizza with caramelized onions.
The waiter was great.

06/05/2026: Clearly, overpriced for what it is. The meat was nothing special, on par with a Buffalo Grill in France. I suppose you could call this restaurant a tourist trap. It's not bad, except for their utterly bland risotto, but it's not good either. There are much better options in Florence. Get out of the city center, away from the negative reviews of tourists, and find restaurants run by Italians, for Italians, that do justice to their cuisine.

While my guests appreciated the choices, I was tempted by the cold and tasteless stuffed zucchini and the sautéed porcini mushrooms, without calamint, more boiled than sautéed, accompanied by two cherry tomato halves, which floated on the plate, making me wonder: what are we doing here? That said, Ruggero remains a point of reference for Tuscan cuisine, of which I've always enjoyed everything except the sautéed porcini mushrooms and the stuffed zucchini, alas. The house wine was excellent.

17/05/2026: Business dinner with a vegetarian colleague. In Florence, it's a real challenge to find a restaurant that offers traditional vegetarian dishes other than just pasta dishes. Here, I found appetizers and pasta dishes, with cheeses, vegetables, and traditional dishes like ribollita and acquacotta. Classic desserts with a twist. Appetizers, pasta dishes, and dessert, plus house wine and water, cost €90. Very friendly staff and a classic atmosphere.

21/05/2026: Wonderful server Bruna. Pleasant and knowledgeable. Very patient explaining the menu and attentive after our food arrived. Fresh is the first word that comes to mind. The next is plentiful. Four of us left with full stomachs and two boxes we just couldn’t find room for. A liter of red wine and four meals for less than 80€. Don’t miss this place.
21/05/2026: This restaurant was recommended by one of the staff at the Wyndham garden hotel across the street. It was absolutely fabulous in every way. Bruna was an excellent waitress and the food was the best we had in three days. So Fresh, and perfectly delivered to our table. We also enjoyed the red table wine.

20/01/2026: Capoccia was the most delicious in Italy!
Both the green sauce and spicy versions were great.
I ate there every day I was in Florence.
Google's opening hours aren't very accurate.
It shows they close at 9 pm, but they actually close at 8 pm.
Don't miss it because of that.
Also, the waitresses are much friendlier than the waiters.
On my last day (January 20th, 11 am), I was served by a male waiter. He shortchanged me on the bill; I don't know if it was intentional, but it wasn't a very pleasant experience.
19/01/2026: My wife and I stumbled upon this porchetteria by chance. We were starving and decided to grab a quick snack: we ordered two Norcino Pro. What can I say... the flavor was unbeatable! We loved it; everything was excellent.
