02/04/2026: We went here for lunch and I have to say everything was excellent. The atmosphere was very refined, the staff knowledgeable and helpful. We ate a variety of dishes, from appetizers to tortelli to the roast. The wild boar tortelli were amazing!

The staff were extremely kind and knowledgeable.

10/04/2026: I made a quick stop from Florence here. The personnel was super attentive even though I was very early for dinner. When the food came I ordered seconds. Loved it.
08/04/2026: EASTER 2026 lunch. Terrible service. Lunch was scheduled for around 1 PM, but started at around 1:30-1:40 PM. We sat at the table for over 4 hours. Not even at a wedding. The portions were barely adequate.

The prices are in line with the food.

23/04/2026: Il Rustico is always a guaranteed place, where once a year a group of colleagues and I travel from Milan for lunch. The family-run restaurant, with its typically 1980s decor, serves traditional Tuscan cuisine, dominated by Her Majesty the Florentine steak, cooked to perfection by Chef Cesare, expertly assisted by his wife, who manages the dining room with punctuality and discretion. After the meal, in addition to their homemade desserts, I recommend a stroll through the charming village. The quality/price ratio is excellent, making it worth the trip.

05/08/2025: I think we were some of the first to play this course since it reopened after a long closure since Covid, the pro informed us that the course was bought and reopened recently, with plans for a full refurb, course clearly no where near its prime, but you can see the works begun to restore it. 360 views of mountains. Hope to play it again someday when it’s been brought back to its former glory, it’s a challenging course no doubt about it, a lot of elevated shots, some blind dog legs. Water, asks a lot of questions.
If you are playing it soon just be aware it’s been left abandoned for 6 years and works just began on it, I think it’s priced to reflect that.
When we first arrived we thought it was closed down from first appearances, but getting onto the course you could see 3 green keepers working hard. I’d say it’ll be in great shape next season. Best of luck to the team there really accommodating and friendly. Former European tour course for a reason, spectacular views of the Tuscan hills, fields of sunflowers and medieval towns makes it quiet a special course that deserves the tlc its getting.

16/05/2024: Non saprei dire come si mangia, abbiamo prenotato con circa 20 giorni di anticipo, per il nostro 25° anniversario di matrimonio, con mail di raccomandazioni per un bel tavolo....arrivati ci riceve un signore che arriva dall' orto, chiama non so chi per dire della nostra presenza... insomma non ci ASPETTAVA NESSUNO

Prenotato con TheFork per i prezzi abbordabili e lo sconto del 20%.
Risultato: menu con prezzi maggiorati, nessuno sconto e pure senza scontrino.
Abbiamo preso:
coccoli crudo e stracchino, ci hanno portato il pecorino a fette (scelta inappropriata senza nessun avviso o cambio);
Tagliatelle con ragù di cinghiale immangiabili, li abbiamo lasciati tutti, sapore non descrivibile, ma ce l’hanno rimosso dal conto.
Tortelli mugellani buoni, ma pasta cruda.
Tartare di manzo con maionese e tanto limone, fate voi!!
Ps: ambiente all aperto fresco e rilassante di fronte al laghetto, ma con lo stomaco vuoto o rigirato non ne vale proprio la pena
