A trattoria serving traditional Tuscan dishes that's not to be missed! I recommend booking because it's not very big and gets very busy. We didn't book and sat at the only remaining table. We ordered two starters, and they were delicious, just like the cheesecake, probably the best I've ever had!

We had lunch here (myself, my husband and our 2 sons, 4&6 years old). We had to wait outside for 10 minutes because it was so busy BUT the food was the best we have had in Florence! The place is not touristy at all, the service was amazing! I accidentally ordered the wrong dish for my son and they offered to change it w/ No extra fee. We kept the wrong one and ordered a new dish because it was so good 😊 must try if you’re in this part of town! The sausage and bean was to die for.

Slightly off the beaten path, yet still close to Florence's historic center, this trattoria offers Florentine cuisine and more, all made with top-quality ingredients. The atmosphere is casual yet refined, and the service is very attentive. The Tuscan liver crostini, served warm on fresh bread, are excellent. The pappa al pomodoro and ribollita are excellent, as are the pici with sausage and cavolo nero, the meats, the boiled meats, the side dishes, and the desserts. The menu features a few dishes from outside the region and a wide variety. I recommend booking ahead, as the restaurant is also popular with Florentines, a sign of the authenticity and attention to detail of the cuisine. Very fair prices, generous portions. I'll definitely return and make this a point of reference for a good meal in beautiful Florence.

After visiting Palazzo Pitti and the entire garden, stopping at this wonder of local toscan food was the best choice ever. The food was delicious, the people very friendly and the atmosphere made us feel like we are in the real Italy.
