Excellent place, pleasant atmosphere, and simple yet efficient service. While my guests appreciated the choices, I was tempted by the cold and tasteless stuffed zucchini and the sautéed porcini mushrooms, without calamint, more boiled than sautéed, accompanied by two cherry tomato halves, which floated on the plate, making me wonder: what are we doing here? That said, Ruggero remains a point of reference for Tuscan cuisine, of which I've always enjoyed everything except the sautéed porcini mushrooms and the stuffed zucchini, alas. The house wine was excellent.

A true old-fashioned trattoria. Well done!! You've maintained the style over time, as well as the traditional dishes. The crostini, Tuscan cured meats, fantastic carrettiera, and boiled meats just like my grandmother used to make them. Marta is a great waiter and speaks excellent English.

13/06/2026: Went here as a group of 2 and the owner was very friendly! The pappardelle beef ragu was divine, and the fried zucchini was surprisingly delicious. Would definitely come again
