03/04/2024: Tortelli Mugellani were like nonna makes them and the pizza was good too! Thin, like the florentines like it and made in the wood burning oven. The service was excellent, too. Would recommend along the hike!

04/04/2024: We went to this restaurant for Easter lunch. There is ample parking available nearby. The place is not very large but tidy and the tables are arranged intelligently. The atmosphere speaks to us of tradition, cuisine, hunting trips, flavours. Tuscany. The owner welcomed us with a smile and made us feel at home after chatting. The waiter who served us was very knowledgeable, attentive and kind. Let's start with the typical Tuscan appetizers. Classic appetizers of the Tuscan tradition. Incredibly good are the liver ones and the polenta ones with Chianina ragout. The first courses are also excellent, in particular the ravioli with ragù and the gnudi. For the second course, the braised boneless steak was interesting but the real surprise was sweetbreads, chicory and bagnacauda. A delicious dish. The wine list is good with many local proposals capable of surprising in terms of quality. At the end of lunch we felt satisfied, pampered and happy. Girodibacco will become a fixed stop every time we return to Tuscany.

07/11/2023: Siamo andati lì su consiglio del host del Airbnb. Devo dire che avevano molta scelta di cornetti e paste. Ambiente abbastanza pieno . Non il tipico bar pasticceria dove sedersi e fare una colazione in silenzio . 🥐 cornetto al pistacchio - ⭐️⭐️⭐️

14/12/2023: Il titolo è forse eccessivo e potrebbe far pensare a un'esperienza totalmente negativa. Così non è stato. Ma riassume bene la sensazione provata. Scrivere di aver mangiato male sarebbe un'eresia. Ma in tutta l'esperienza c'era sempre quel punto di domanda. Locale curatissimo e sala vetrata accogliente e con pochi tavoli per la giusta dose di intimità. Optiamo per il menù degustazione più ampio come facciamo quasi sempre. Primo errore. Troppo ampio. Sì, il troppo può essere un difetto. Perchè la misura delle porzioni dovrebbe essere calcolata ad hoc. 11 portate più entratina e petit pastisserie alla fine creano confusione al palato e allo stomaco. Specialmente se si arriva ai primi praticamente già sazi. La cucina. Piatti esteticamente molto belli. Non sempre mantengono la promessa visiva. Alti e bassi. Come un po' ovunque. Qui, il problema è che non arriva mai un 10 con lode ma al massimo un 8....e con molti piatti da 6. Succede anche altrove di avere piatti sufficienti ma poi arrivano quei 2 o 3 piatti che ti fanno dimenticare tutto e ricorderai per anni. Qui non succede mai. Da apprezzare l'uso quasi esclusivo di ingredienti locali senza andare a ricercare ingredienti sofisticati. Servizio. Vale il titolo della recensione. Persino eccessivo per 1 stella e vuole strizzare l'occhio a un 3 stelle. Encomiabile. Se però per ben 2 portate il mio calice di vino rimane vuoto meglio lasciare la bottiglia sul tavolo. Solo inesperienza anche perchè la brigata di sala è molto giovane e molto affabile. Quindi piacevole. E gli si può perdonare qualche errore vista la giovane età. Però forse meglio abbassare gli standard se non si è certi di riuscire a mantenerli alla perfezione. Prezzo molto alto. Non per il locale che è magnifico ma per l'esperienza vissuta. Forse avessimo speso la metà il giudizio sarebbe stato diverso. Ma 450 euro per 2 menù e una bottiglia "normale" per me sono troppi rispetto all'esperienza vissuta. Riassunto: Non boccio il locale e gli do tempo per migliorare ma difficilmente io ci tornerò. Augurando allo chef di smentire presto questa mia recensione che naturalmente è un parere personale.

16/10/2023: Perfect cuisine. A very deserved star. I had already tried the chef's cuisine in the restaurant where he worked before, with more than positive feedback. At the Three Virtues, I must say that the chef has maintained and improved all the characteristics of his cuisine.

16/03/2024: Friendly staff. Unfortunately the merits of this restaurant/pizzeria stop here... one of the worst pizzas I have ever eaten in my life... basically a hard piadina with very little seasoning. I was lucky I didn't feel sick the next day. If you want pizza go elsewhere! Listen to a "booster"... never again. Ah, above average prices.
