It's one of those delicious and coveted little "doors" (actually, a bit bigger than that) off the tourist track and almost hidden. The "Schiacciata" are varied and will satisfy any hunger. On that occasion, I ate the vegetarian Schiacciata which, besides being well-stuffed, was very tasty (but it seems they've taken it off the menu, what a shame!). The waiter is very friendly and good-humored – that is, totally opposite to the staff at Antico Vinaio – and has good taste in music, because he had chosen a playlist with the best of rock. Worth a visit.

We discovered it by chance, as it was very close to our hotel and Il Duomo. It's a bakery serving schiacciate, paninis, pizzas, pastries, sweets, and coffee. Ideal for a snack or a quick lunch. They offer takeaway or you can eat there at a counter with stools. It's frequented by office workers and other local residents. Affordable prices and friendly service.

Much changed from the previous bakery, now more suited to tourist clientele. However, compared to the bakeries in the center, it's cheaper and the quality is better. Sure, it's expensive, but at least they bake hot pizzas and make sandwiches to order, just the way you like them. The bread is good, and the coffee is served in a plastic cup from a self-service machine. There's limited seating inside, but there's a bench outside. If I need to eat something out, I prefer to eat here rather than at all the touristy places where the price and quality are lower. Recommended 👍🏻
