15/05/2026: Incredible pasta. I eat pasta quite often and love it, but this was the best I've ever had. I tried three different kinds and they were all fantastic, but the potato and ginger tortelloni were the best. Creative and incredibly well prepared.

16/05/2026: I walked into "Gusto Leo" by chance, and I'd never thought of doing so! Once seated, we were served after 40 minutes, even though we'd only ordered a Florentine steak for €35 per kilo, two side dishes for €6, and a bottle of water. After I finished my meal, I was presented with a bill of €72; the receipt didn't show the amount or the dishes. 35+6+6=47 Can a bottle of water and two covers cost €25? THE WORK MONEY. IT WOULD BE NICE IF EVERYONE WOULD DO THE SAME TRANSPARENCY! I went into "gusto leo" by chance and I had never done it before! once seated we were served after 40 minutes, even though we had only asked for a Florentine steak, €35 per kg, two side dishes for €6 and a bottle of water. 20/05/2026: Please do yourself a favour and go somewhere else. I was honestly really shocked at the attitude of the waitress here who genuinely rolled her eyes and laughed at me when trying to order just drinks and dessert. She said she would need to ask the if it was okay with manager for us to not have dinner as well, who shrugged and said it would be fine. After telling her we just wanted to share a cake rather than get one each, she scoffed again and said “really, wow”. We were at a table for under 30 minutes and paid a cover charge of €2 each. If it was busy, maybe I could understand her frustration but we paid for the table and there were only a couple of people in the restaurant. We wanted to support a local restaurant but unfortunately the environment we experienced was hostile and uncomfortable. This waitress also had very little patience for the couple sitting next to us who were trying to translate the menu. If you only want people buying 3 course meals with drinks when your restaurant is already empty, put up a sign.

10/06/2026: After days in Florence, we were craving something different from Italian food. This was the perfect place! The best fried chicken, freshly made. The best fries, even a super tasty hot dog. The service was excellent and friendly. Thank you!

07/06/2026: If you're looking for authentic, quick, and tasty street food in San Frediano/Santo Spirito, this little corner of the Middle East is definitely worth a stop. The place is simple, focused on substance and fresh ingredients. I tried their Pita Falafel (€7.50) and was thoroughly satisfied: the falafel are expertly made, the salad is incredibly fresh, and the mix of hummus, tahini, and mint is superbly balanced. The size is also noteworthy; the portion is nice and large and perfectly filling without weighing you down. To finish on a sweet note, I tried the Baklava. They were good, although it's a matter of personal taste: I found them a bit drier than the very wet and sugary syrupy version I usually prefer. Still, they're a pleasant end to a meal. Overall, a highly recommended place for a quick lunch or a casual dinner, with excellent value for money for the center of Florence. I will definitely be back to try the combo platters or their special hummus.

17/05/2026: Highly recommended! We went there last Thursday and had a delicious meal. We were well served by Francesco (a guy with long black hair and a beard); he made the atmosphere even more pleasant.

18/05/2026: We'd been here before a few years ago, and we returned for dinner on Saturday evening. We've always had good food, but this time we felt they'd achieved excellence in every way: generous and consistently delicious dishes, but above all, obsessive customer service, exceptional staff, and the owner, despite it being a Saturday evening, provided incredibly fast service and everyone was eager to know if everything was to our liking. Rating: 10

04/06/2026: Hip trattoria serving authentic Tuscan fare with edgy staff. We did not have reservations and got there 5 minutes before it opened joining a queue anticipating the opening. We got a table, luckily, due to a last minute cancellation but had to finish dinner in 1.5 hours. Service was brisk, food was excellent and we finished with a minute to spare. As we left, our server joined us for a couple of Lemencello shots on the house!!

22/12/2025: Looked so so good visually. Taste tells a different story. Sandwich was beyond salty but could get through half cos it mixes with the other stuff. Osso bucco sour almost waste tasting (20 euro down the trash). Stewed beef soo sour. Souo was fine but a tiny container for 8 euro. Its a shame it looked so good when we walked past.
