They have a wonderful decor, heritage building and the dishes are succulent.
You will find various traditional dishes and their primi are to die for.
Especially the poached egg and the carpaccio.
The Angus is very well cooked and they have great sides.
Their crème brûlée was the best I have ever had in Italy.
The atmosphere is pleasant and great for a friendly dinner.
I highly recommend Cucina Torcicoda.

15/05/2026: This rooftop has a magnificent view of the Duomo and the rooftops of Florence. The drinks are well-made, and the restaurant menu offers quality dishes made with excellent ingredients. Special mention goes to Saturday night's pizza night! A fantastic idea for a simpler evening in a magical setting.

The dishes are plentiful, and you can tell they've paid attention to the ingredients and presentation.
The service is the only sore point.
Aside from the warm welcome from the maitre d', the other service staff seem a bit left to their own devices:
Little attention to the tables, lack of descriptions of the dishes, and we weren't even asked if we wanted coffee.
In short, with a little more organization, it would have been perfect.
The prices are moderately high, but justified by the beauty of the location.

14/05/2026: Pizza tastes like cardboard, they made me pay an extra 0.5€ from nowhere on my drink, took 30 minutes to take our order and they said "no card" to pay until we said we have nothing else. (Also, we had to pay for cutlery even though it was dirty lol)

03/05/2026: I was visiting and came specifically for the kothu roti. I checked the hours online beforehand, but when I arrived, it was closed—really disappointing and inconvenient.
18/04/2026: We were craving Sri Lankan food in Florence and found an absolute hidden gem called Kottu Firenze. We ordered traditional kottu, fresh hoppers, and delicious pork and chicken curries, which were beautifully paired with traditional Tuscan wine. We've honestly never had this caliber of authentic Sri Lankan food outside of the country! The phenomenal flavors and the warm ambience made it genuinely feel like a home away from home. Highly recommended for an unforgettable meal!

The atmosphere is elegant yet accessible, perfectly in keeping with the setting. Prices are reasonable considering the quality of the venue and its exclusive location. The service was attentive, friendly, and personable, putting guests at ease without ever being intrusive. The dishes we tried were consistent with the type of venue: good quality, meticulous presentation, and a menu that meets the expectations of this type of venue. Overall, a positive experience from every perspective: setting, service, and offerings. Well done everyone!

03/05/2026: Lots of vegan options, both sweet and savory, perfect for breakfast, a snack, and lunch!
Wide selection of vegan (and even raw) cookies, croissants, focaccias filled with vegan ingredients, and pasta dishes. Whole vegan cakes are also available upon request (the cheesecake is excellent!!). The carrot croissant filled with orange marmalade is excellent.
Super friendly and welcoming staff!
