11/06/2026: We had a wonderful experience at La Castellana. The service was friendly and attentive throughout our visit. Both the pasta dish and the meat dish were excellent. The meat was cooked perfectly, and they were very generous with the truffle, which added a fantastic flavor. The quality of the food was outstanding, especially considering the price. The restaurant offers excellent value for money, which is becoming increasingly rare to find. Overall, we were very impressed and would definitely recommend La Castellana to anyone looking for great food and a pleasant dining experience.

The famous and incredibly tender and flavorful Florentine steak, I've never seen anything like it, it melts in your mouth..., prepared and served by the dear @serginhoroncaratti and @reroncaratti. Steak of origin matured by @dariocecchinimacellaio Dario Cechini, the most famous butcher in the world! 🇧🇷🇮🇹❤️ An unparalleled gastronomic experience!! In fact, everything at Il Vescovino is too good, starting with the affection of the Roncarati family!! I 1000% recommend a visit, in the heart of Tuscany, in a 1000-year-old village, a wonderful place and excellent service by this Brazilian family that is a success in beautiful Tuscany!

15/06/2026: I DO NOT write reviews, I just don’t. But after feeling incredibly disrespected I feel I need to. I wish I could write a better review because we were genuinely so excited to visit. We came to celebrate my birthday and our 10-year wedding anniversary, making this a very special experience for our family. Unfortunately, from the beginning, we felt completely overlooked. During both the tour and the wine and food tasting, the guide largely ignored us. At one point, while I was helping my daughter down the stairs, my brand-new dress was completely soaked by fermenting grape juice dripping from the walls (pictured). No one had warned us that this was happening, and when it occurred, the tour guide simply laughed. The experience only became more disappointing during the tasting. The other family in our group was engaged with, served, and guided through the experience, while we were repeatedly forgotten. We never received some of the wines or food included in the tasting because staff seemed to forget we were there altogether. Eventually, we paid and left before the experience was even finished. We also did not get the impression that children were particularly welcome, despite the experience being advertised as family-friendly. To be fair, we interacted with only a few staff members, so this may have been an issue with our particular guide rather than the winery as a whole. However, for a visit we had been looking forward to for months, celebrating two major milestones, the experience was incredibly disappointing and not one we would return for. I will add that the food that we did have was delicious. The waiters were very sweet and the vineyard itself is breathtaking. But after spending almost €200 to and from Florence to get there- (plus the cost of the tour) I would never go again.

It's a truly unique experience, nestled in the heart of Chianti, offering spectacular views of the Tuscan hills. The castle is well-preserved and exudes an authentic, elegant yet welcoming atmosphere, perfectly in keeping with the history of the area. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful, ready to explain the history of the castle and its products with clarity and passion. The restaurant is perfect for those who want to savor the typical products of Tuscan cuisine, particularly from the area. Highly recommended for those visiting Greve in Chianti, a beautiful place to see, extraordinary and enchanting, that will leave you with wonderful memories and a desire to return. The guided tour of the gardens, cellars, and castle is an experience not to be missed.

14/06/2026: If there were more stars, I'd give it all! My partner and I had lunch at this restaurant yesterday. By booking two weeks in advance, we managed to get a table outside. It was magical; everything was literally perfect. The menu is fixed, created daily based on what nature has to offer. The dishes are revealed as they are served. Of course, at the beginning, we ask if there are any intolerances, allergies, or other special needs. When I say everything was perfect, I mean: attentive staff, proud of what they serve their customers and the place they work in; an exceptional menu in terms of taste (everything delicious!!), quality, and quantity (which is highly appreciated, you'll be left full and without anything left!); a truly pleasant surprise, the dish today; an enchanting location overlooking the fields cultivated with some of the ingredients you'll have the pleasure of eating (super locally sourced!); Daniele, the owner, who exudes pride and is delighted to share the restaurant's history, which is his own, and how all the ingredients are prepared (everything is prepared by them!!). What can I say? Even if I wanted to find it, there isn't a single negative aspect or improvement that could be made. Come back today. Every plant, every table, every dish is perfect. What an experience! Thanks to the entire team for working so hard every day and for doing it with such passion: you could feel it down to the last bite. See you soon

14/06/2026: Suffering from growing pains. The lady at reception was very kind. The restaurant was empty, I didn't understand why they said it would take half an hour. And they looked like they were in the restaurant. I didn't understand. More than 50 empty seats. But anyway, I ate a sandwich at the café. It was good. Wonderful bread. It has potential.

12/06/2026: While traveling along the Chianti Route, I made a quick stop for a tasting/direct sales. Inside, everything was very modern and well-presented. The shop offered wine, oil, and delicacies for purchase, and the service was very friendly and unobtrusive. I didn't visit the hotel or restaurant. The location certainly benefits from its position on the road just past Panzano and is definitely worth a visit. The wine was very good, at least to my taste. I'm taking a few bottles home with me.

12/06/2026: Osteria Mangiando Mangiando, located in the central square of Greve in Chianti, is a wonderful place to dine. With its relaxed and tranquil atmosphere, charming yet simple colorful décor, and warm, welcoming service, it creates the kind of environment where you immediately feel at ease and want to linger. And that’s before even beginning to talk about the food…

23/05/2026: Stopped in Mid May for an experience with my group of 10. Dario was present and making it a great time! My main complaint is how raw all the meat was when it came out. This meat is about as rare as it comes. No seasoning. 6 out of 7 dishes were served raw/cold. A cool experience, but hard to cut and eat so much steak cooked to that level. The “Steak Florentino” that came out as the finale was forgettable. It’s worth stopping by the butcher shop and buying some souvenirs but the dinner experience can be skipped.

22/05/2026: We went to Antica Macelleria Cecchini in 2022 and honestly it was more like a huge family party than just dinner. Started out amazing with staff handing out glasses of Chianti right on the street. Once inside it was absolute chaos in the best possible way. Long tables, sitting shoulder to shoulder with strangers who become friends by the end of the night. It was loud, busy and there was an endless amount of incredible meat coming out. Had such a blast. If you like your meat, you have to go here. One of the highlights of our Tuscany trip.

31/05/2026: Average food, overpriced wine and terrible service. I guess being in the middle of the square and serving mainly tourists does not require trying too hard. The service charge was already on the bill, which requires even less need for good service. In comparison to other places in Panzano, this was a disappointing experience. Definitely not recommendable.

22/05/2026: Drove there quite late, but a table for two was no problem. Nice wine... could be a bit more in the glass, but we can't complain 😉 of course. The food was very tasty; we had a swordfish salad which was delicious, followed by pasta, and for dessert a caramel panna cotta which I highly recommend.

19/05/2026: First time at this restaurant for lunch, for a birthday. To get there, you pass through Badia a Passignano and have to take a stretch of dirt road, but it all puts you in the countryside mood. The food and the friendliness of the staff are excellent, always courteous and helpful. As for my experience, I also had the pleasure of enjoying it on a Sunday in May, with sunshine and perfect temperatures, which made it even more enjoyable.
