13/01/2026: 🙀🥺😭 I celebrated my graduation party here. The evenings overall aren't bad: the atmosphere is unique and is definitely the venue's strong point. Unfortunately, however, the event organization was truly terrible. Communication via WhatsApp was difficult and unclear, and during the party, it was impossible to speak to the staff due to the loud music. The organization definitely needs rethinking. The food was disappointing: the pizza wasn't good, and the only decent thing was the coccoli appetizer. The biggest disappointment was the cake: I chose it based on their catalog and the photos they sent me, but I received a different cake than the one I had agreed upon. I reported the error in the questionnaire I received by email (because they value customer feedback to help them improve), but no one contacted me to apologize or clarify the error. The cake wasn't to our liking and hardly anyone ate it, so I wasted €60, not to mention ruining the party dessert I was expecting. I didn't cause any controversy during the party because I wanted to have fun and enjoy the moment, but I was very disappointed. For important events like a graduation party, where only one person pays and organizes everything in advance, I wouldn't recommend this place. My answer: Your brochure clearly shows an image of a raw cheesecake: you don't have to be a pastry chef to understand that. That's precisely why, seeing that photo, I expected a raw cheesecake. What was delivered to me was different from what I ordered, so the error is objectively yours. Even more serious was the response: no apology, no offer of a refund or solution, but an attempt to shift the blame onto me by saying that "I expected something else." Faced with such an obvious mistake and a completely indifferent attitude toward the customer, I've decided to downgrade my review. The photo speaks for itself, as does your behavior.

12/01/2026: Probably the worst dinner of my life, and not because of the food, which was also good. I came for dinner with my friends and found myself in a nightclub. The DJ set in the room was dubious, the sound system was louder than any nightclub I've ever been to. I couldn't even talk to the person next to me. I screamed all night, trying to get out of there and barely knowing how my friends were doing. I tried asking the staff to turn it down, but they told me there's always music but they'd try to ask them to turn it down, but that's about it. The music got even louder throughout the evening. It was a horrible experience, a tortured dinner. It felt like a tourist resort, trashy Italian music and neomelodic music. Yet I went on a Sunday night, I can't even imagine a Saturday. I left with bleeding ears. (P.S. there's only one toilet in the bathroom, and there are no signs or signs differentiating between the sexes.)

25/09/2025: The most delicious pizza I've ever had is here. The guy who handles it is incredibly positive and friendly. You should definitely try it, even if it's just for a quick bite.

26/12/2025: Had Diavola, it was slightly bigger than most other places. The quality of dough was superb. Restaurant was busy as eh but it came troppo veloche ie fast within quicker the one might think. Cherry on top was mascarpone Pandoro special cake made at Xmas by mumma . It was best restaurant desert I've tried since 2 months in 4 cities . Props to family run and operated venues. This place is a Neighborgood gem . Fair prices too. A lot of flair.

13/05/2026: What a unique and incredible experience. The food was outstanding and the chef, host and presumably the owner was beyond compare. I highly recommend this restaurant for something you will not experience elsewhere. Superb in every way except if you are looking for pretentious.

13/06/2026: I had lunch at this Peruvian restaurant today with my boyfriend, and the atmosphere was truly special. 🩷 The welcome was warm and genuine; you could immediately see the passion behind the work. The service was kind and attentive, and we immediately felt at ease. The way the dishes and their origins are explained is also lovely—it makes you discover Peruvian cuisine even more! The food was incredibly fresh, tasty, and authentic. A place that exudes a wonderful energy. We'll definitely be back! ❤️❤️

22/05/2026: Had a wonderful dinner at Osteria dell’Orcagna. Great food, friendly staff, and a cozy atmosphere. The pasta was delicious and everything felt fresh and authentic. Definitely recommend if you’re in Florence!

07/06/2026: We stopped at Lo Scudo planning to have a cocktail and maybe an appetizer before moving on. Instead, we ended up staying for dinner, and we are glad we did. The aged Bistecca alla Fiorentina was outstanding. Great flavor, perfectly prepared, and exactly what you hope for when ordering a steak in Florence. My wife prefers her steak a little more well done, and the kitchen was happy to prepare a few slices separately for her. That kind of flexibility and attention to detail goes a long way. The cheese plate and bread were excellent, some of the best we have had during our time in Italy. The isole e olena Chianti recommendation paired perfectly with the steak and was exactly what we were looking for. 3 boys we used as a snack. A big reason we stayed was Mateo. He was welcoming from the start, knew the menu inside and out, and made the whole experience feel relaxed and genuine. There was never any pressure, just good recommendations and great service. What started as a quick stop for a drink turned into one of our favorite meals in Florence. Great food, great wine, and a local atmosphere that felt authentic. We would absolutely come back and highly recommend Lo Scudo.

04/05/2026: It wasn't the most delicious meal in Florence, but it still tasted good. Unfortunately, the service wasn't great. The restaurant was very loud, and unfortunately, my clothes smelled bad afterward.

27/04/2026: My partner and I ate here on a Saturday evening. It actually started off quite well; we were greeted and quickly got a table, even though the place was busy. After our order was taken, only my partner's wine arrived, followed by his food. He had ordered an appetizer and a pizza; both were brought at the same time, so the pizza got cold. We had to point out to the waiters that my drink was also missing. The young waiter apologized but then brought a Coke, even though I had ordered a Coke Zero… (But he was the only waiter who apologized for the delay/forgetting). After asking again, my food finally arrived, but the waitress practically threw it onto the table without a word (after an hour, and unfortunately, it didn't taste good either, completely swimming in oil). The owner came to all the tables (all local Italians) and asked if everything was alright, made small talk, and asked about dessert – at every table except ours. This gave the impression that tourists were not necessarily welcome as guests.

14/05/2026: We had a wonderful lunch at La Vetreria in Florence. The atmosphere was very pleasant and relaxing, making it the perfect place to enjoy a great meal. The meat dishes were especially delicious and perfectly prepared. We also really appreciated the excellent selection of regional wines, which complemented the food beautifully. Highly recommended for anyone looking to experience authentic Tuscan cuisine in a lovely setting!
