11/08/2024: A step that is worth the detour! I arrived at this restaurant completely by chance after an itinerary error which required me to walk for 1/2 hour in full sun. The setting is neat and relaxing, the service welcoming and adaptable to the people. As for the food, I enjoyed it from start to finish, from the appetizers and desserts to the dishes themselves. An excellent meal, cool, which doesn't spoil anything.

06/08/2024: A little restaurant offering a variety of delicious antipasto and pasta dishes, as well as meat and seafood mains. I particularly recommend the traditional Ragu, which was plentiful in size and extremely high quality.

06/08/2024: We really enjoyed this place. Food was fantastic. Service was great. Location was nice. It is hard to get into this place. It is small and where the locals go for fine food at affordable prices. I would definitely recommend this place.

02/08/2024: Beautiful underground restaurant with exceptionally friendly and professional service. We walked in and they were accommodating from the start. They were more than happy to explain the menu and even showed the actual steak cuts just for suggestion. Food was delicious and atmosphere was perfect. Thank you to the two gentlemen who made our night.

29/08/2024: It's a great restaurant that's very close to the airport. I had a quick overnight at FCO and found this place to try. The food was amazing and the staff was friendly. The complimentary starter and limoncello were also a nice touch. Definitely recommend this restaurant if you're in the area!

17/08/2024: A lovely evening with a good meal. We waited a bit to get a table because we booked at the last minute but the wait was done with a glass of prosseco offered by the owner, which was very appreciated. The decor is beautiful, the welcome and the service perfect. We ordered a mixed board for the aperitif, it was so loaded that it could fit at least 4 people. Followed by carbo pasta which was certainly the best we ate. Very good address.

01/08/2024: This is my first review of any restaurant. That’s how incredibly good this place is. You know when you find a place that makes you want to return to a city? Well this was that place for us. II Tarallo has the best food we ate during our visit in Rome, forget the over hyped places with the lines, this is the hidden gem. However, what really made me fall in love with this place was the ambience and the owners. A husband and wife duo who are funny and charming. They made an incredible dinner even better with their sense of humor and kindness. They even had mosquito spray for me when I asked. The owners really think of every little detail and it shows. The only sad thing is that we found this place on our last night. I will recommend this place to anyone visiting Rome! Beautiful, beautiful place!

25/07/2024: Fantastic stuffed pizza, cooked to perfection. Excellent quality explosive filling. A real pleasure. All in a welcoming and almost evocative environment, with the nativity scene on display all year round. Absolutely worth trying and trying again.

23/07/2024: A special one for lunch but not for tourists. Since I can remember I've seen this man (Gianni) working hard alone, baking on the fly the pizza that made him famous in the neighborhood. It doesn't matter how many customers are in the queue: Gianni goes on at its kind pace. And by 1:00 p.m. it is hard to find something left to eat. So basic, so good!

30/07/2024: It's the third time I've tried to review this place, but obviously something isn't right with Google...excellent restaurant, everything very good, good prices, friendly, fast and kind waiters, impeccable service!! Simple, rustic, clean restaurant; despite the heat, it was pleasantly ventilated inside. Clean and tidy toilets. To return Ps: I couldn't publish the photos I don't know why

27/07/2024: Very good food!! Pasta all homemade. Tasty and good vegetables. Friendly staff If you stay inside there may be a bit of noise but it is normal given that it is small (in fact I recommend you book well in advance). Advised!! To return and return

02/09/2024: Ero già stata in questo ristorante nel 2020 per un compleanno ed ero rimasta molto soddisfatta del locale e del cibo. Sono tornata recentemente con mio marito e sono rimasta ancora più contenta: il locale è splendido e completamente immerso nel verde, una fuga ideale dal caldo estivo della città; il servizio è impeccabile: gentile, curato e discreto; il cibo è eccellente in ogni piatto che viene servito e cucinato con grande capacità e cura. È il posto perfetto per una cena speciale oppure per tornare in un posto in cui la buona cucina e la gentilezza sono sempre al primo posto!

24/07/2024: Stumbled across this as staying in CitizenM around the corner and a big fan of going out for breakfast. Great value low key spot for pastries and pastrami sandwiches / focaccias - well worth trying g as awesome!

11/07/2024: Went for a cappuccino in the morning and tried one of the small sandwiches which were both soooooo good that we decided to come and get a sandwich for lunch and it definitely didn't disappoint. 5 stars

05/04/2024: This is a place I've known for many years. An amazing restaurant where you're guaranteed to enjoy a piece of meat, pasta, dessert, whatever. Friendly service and a view of the local castle only add to the experience. A spectacular place where one wants to spend time.

18/07/2024: This was the cafe in my ten day trip where I immediately felt welcome and like family. The atmosphere is vibrant and joyful. The customers were a mix of locals and tourists. My cappuccino was great! The owner was very kind. This was the perfect way to enjoy breakfast in Rome.
