30/07/2026: Nestled in the Roman countryside, among olive trees, lies this village that turns red at sunset, marking the beginning of the magic. If you want to delight your senses, this is the place. The house appetizers are so rich you might already feel full, but you can't stop because as soon as you approach the meat counter, your eyes will tell you more... With so many cuts of meat, you can't miss trying the tagliata, steaks, fillets, and tartare. You'll be spoiled for choice, and if you trust Christian, who only needs a few questions to understand what your palate needs, you've hit the jackpot. Meat that lingers in your mouth with a wide variety of flavors, from the more delicate you're used to to the stronger and more decisive, but in which you can recognize all the flavors of the earth. A youthful and relaxed atmosphere, always with great music to accompany your dinner. Silvia manages everything in the dining room, ready to understand and satisfy her customers' requests. A wide selection of wines to pair with your meals. The restaurant is suitable for everyone, both adults and children, as there's even a small park where they can play between courses, all within sight of their parents, who can continue enjoying the evening. You can come as a couple, with friends or family. If you're looking for a more intimate setting, ask for a more secluded table when possible, or, as I like, find yourself chatting, laughing, and joking with neighboring tables. Il Borghetto has become my favorite place, and I recommend it to anyone looking for a pleasant evening that engages all five senses. Thanks to Silvia and Christian, who dedicate themselves heart and soul to their guests.

30/07/2026: There's nothing to write home about; you just have to go and try it. Expertise and courtesy, i.e., customer service, and quality meat. I haven't tried the pasta dishes, but we'll be back soon. Congratulations.

26/07/2026: A very pleasant surprise. The welcome and atmosphere are friendly, empathetic, and very welcoming. There's style without sacrificing authenticity, even in the staff's smiles. The flavor is not only in the dishes, but also in the location: a refined mix of industrial modernism in a place that proudly and wisely recalls and reclaims its origins, perhaps a former winery. We tried 1 appetizer, 2 first courses, and 1 dessert. The originality of the presentation here marries the uniqueness of the flavor, or flavors. Excellent service; you can taste the authenticity and quality of the ingredients, often selected from local or certified producers, and you can taste and see it. And the menu is just right, even with vegetarian options. The bill? Perfect for the experience. And we'll be back. P.S. The menu with oriental delicacies is another must-try.

09/08/2026: I visited this restaurant with my wife and our dog. We were warmly welcomed by the owners and a waitress. The location is rustic and welcoming, the food is very good, but above all, what's always a pleasure is the attention to detail. The owners and waitress were attentive to every request. When we return to Grottaferrata, we'll pop into Il Buco for dinner again! VERY FAIR PRICES!

02/08/2026: Let's start with the service, which is a bit too rigid: service starts at 8:00 PM, and if you arrive a few minutes early, you still have to wait that time to order. The Buco appetizer is good, but I would have liked a few more slices of cold cuts to accompany the buffalo mozzarella and ricotta. Personally, I would have preferred a classic fraschetta appetizer, more complete and with a little bit of everything. The pasta with truffle, porcini mushrooms, and pancetta seemed a bit bland and flavorless. Obviously, it's a matter of taste, but I would recommend choosing a different topping. The saltimbocca, on the other hand, were really good, as were the prices. The glass of wine for just €1 was also very welcome!

26/07/2026: An enchanting place to spend sweet, cool summer evenings. A picturesque setting for a dinner away from the heat and bustle of the city. We chose Casa Maggiolina to celebrate a graduation in the privacy of our own home. The seasonal first courses they recommended were captivating, with balanced flavors and generous portions. We recommend the tagliolini aglio e olio with shrimp tartare, the eggplant ravioli with burrata, and the paccheri with cream of zucchini, anchovies, and sheep's milk ricotta. For meat lovers, we recommend the Angus arrosticini with Patanegra pancetta, along with the exquisite tagliata. The selection is varied, even for guests with food intolerances such as celiac disease. The service was accommodating and professional. The wait staff is attentive to their guests' needs. We will cherish fond memories of the evening.

03/02/2026: We ate yesterday at this truly special place. As soon as you walk in, you immediately sense its authenticity. It's like stepping back in time. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the food is superb (the portions are equally superb), and the staff are friendly! It took us 40 minutes to get there, but it was worth it.

01/02/2026: I visited this restaurant with my wife, and what can I say? The good food and generous portions put it above average for castles. The restaurant has a very charming country-chic feel, although in my opinion, there are too many seats and it's quite cramped. The service is also quite attentive and friendly. From what I've written, some might wonder why it's given 3 stars. The reason is simple: I found the prices quite high for the quality of the food, but let's take things in order: The €4 cover charge per person, which includes table settings and service, would suggest something high-end, but the glasses and cutlery were dull. For that price, cutlery and glasses should shine. The food here is also quite high-priced. I have no complaints about the quality of the ingredients, but if you're charging €18 for a plate of tortelli, I expect them to be the right shape and not fall apart during cooking. We paid €91 for two appetizers, two first courses, and a dessert with a bottle of water. I think the bill is a bit overpriced. In my humble opinion, the correct bill would have been between 75 and 80 euros.

01/07/2026: I found the restaurant on the Gambero Rosso menu. I went yesterday for lunch, and it was easy to find. We entered and were greeted by a gentleman who I think is the owner. He was truly friendly, and the dining room was fantastic and truly elegant. They immediately made you feel at ease. The ingredients were exquisite. We tried the taverna appetizer, all expertly prepared and of the highest quality. I loved the fried apple, which I'd never had before and was truly delicious. I also enjoyed the ricotta, which I usually don't like, but here it was so good I ate it all. For starters, we had pappardelle with white ragù and mint (amazing) and the pasta sciue sciue. Given the generous portions, we only had dessert... crème catalana, mouth-watering... reasonably priced compared to average.
