It's worth it for the food, the service, and the wonderful feeling of welcome you experience. Truly exemplary! The fondue and sausage gnocchi are exceptional, not to mention the house appetizers (truly superb).

01/02/2026: Everything was truly delicious, from the raw fish tasting to the steaks to the desserts. The revisited Jewish-style artichokes with a special sauce were also excellent. The rustic atmosphere was very nice... just a little noisy.

24/01/2026: We celebrated a birthday with 50 people here at Borgo del Cacchione and were very satisfied. The room reserved for us was very welcoming, the staff were extremely kind and attentive, and the dishes were exquisite (Roman specialties, meat, and excellent vegetarian options). Everything went perfectly thanks to the team's professionalism and their attention to detail.

26/03/2026: My experience with my dad tonight was magnificent. We had an appetizer of porchetta dressed with balsamic vinegar and salad—this appetizer was magnificent. For my second course, I had meat parcels filled with mozzarella and wrapped in pan-fried pancetta, with a side of salad—fantastic. My dad had wild boar with potatoes; I tried it and it was fantastic. Then we shared a plate of beef stew with peppers—magnificent. For dessert, I had the zabaglione cream with chocolate sponge cake sprinkled on top—MAGNIFICENT. The zabaglione and liqueur are made by Raul. The staff was very helpful. Raul was extremely accommodating: since we needed to share the stew, he made a little extra, and the wait was minimal. In short, he was extremely helpful. Everything was perfect, highly recommended.

Four of us arrived without a reservation, even quite late at 3:00 PM, and yet we were greeted with great courtesy and helpfulness. A detail we truly appreciated. The restaurant is welcoming, with attention to detail. The staff was kind, helpful, and always attentive without being intrusive. The dishes were beautifully presented, prepared with quality ingredients, and had an authentic flavor. You could sense their passion for traditional cuisine and the attention to detail in every course. The quality-price ratio was also excellent, considering the level of service and cuisine. A place we'd love to return to and one I recommend to anyone who wants to eat well in the Castelli Romani area. Congratulations!

03/02/2026: We ate yesterday at this truly special place. As soon as you walk in, you immediately sense its authenticity. It's like stepping back in time. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the food is superb (the portions are equally superb), and the staff are friendly! It took us 40 minutes to get there, but it was worth it.

01/02/2026: I visited this restaurant with my wife, and what can I say? The good food and generous portions put it above average for castles. The restaurant has a very charming country-chic feel, although in my opinion, there are too many seats and it's quite cramped. The service is also quite attentive and friendly. From what I've written, some might wonder why it's given 3 stars. The reason is simple: I found the prices quite high for the quality of the food, but let's take things in order: The €4 cover charge per person, which includes table settings and service, would suggest something high-end, but the glasses and cutlery were dull. For that price, cutlery and glasses should shine. The food here is also quite high-priced. I have no complaints about the quality of the ingredients, but if you're charging €18 for a plate of tortelli, I expect them to be the right shape and not fall apart during cooking. We paid €91 for two appetizers, two first courses, and a dessert with a bottle of water. I think the bill is a bit overpriced. In my humble opinion, the correct bill would have been between 75 and 80 euros.

07/04/2026: I made a reservation for Easter Monday and they told me they'd be eating à la carte. I arrived and there was the Easter Monday menu. Oh well. You walk in and it's so loud it's midnight on New Year's Eve, so loud you can't hear the person sitting next door. The menu is extremely rigid (carbonara must be with zucchini, the kids' menu only includes cutlet and no alternatives, ugh) and incredibly expensive: I'll always cite as an example three puny pieces of breaded and braised lamb for €19, as if it were panda bear meat. If you go there, definitely choose the tagliata; it costs €1 more but you get triple the price. The artichoke maltagliati weren't great but perhaps the most harmless thing of all, while the three tartare appetizers were tasty. One really positive thing? The table service. Not too busy, to be honest, but extremely kind.
