What I ate - • Grilled pecorino with honey, walnuts and truffle is a must-try, perfectly balanced and rich. • Strozzapreti amatriciana is packed with chunky bacon and bold flavor. Looks small but it was hearty. • Their bread has the perfect mix of char and chew—you’ll want every bite. • Staff are friendly, fast, and make you feel welcome. It’s a place that stands out from all the usual menus nearby. You won’t regret choosing it.

01/12/2025: I haven't left a review for a restaurant in a decade. But I feel compelled to do so for this place. Sunday, reservation for the second sitting at 2:15 PM. We had organized a nearby excursion with the kids. The excursion took longer than expected. We arrived at the restaurant at practically 3 PM. We expected to be kicked out or treated with appropriate haste due to our lateness. Instead, we received only smiles, kindness, and attention to our children. We enjoyed lunch in complete relaxation, a perfect moment on a beautiful day around Calcata. When you know how to welcome and make guests feel at ease... everything else is almost superfluous. That said, the atmosphere is simple and welcoming, and the food is delicious. The suckling pig was excellent, the tonnarelli with porcini mushrooms and the wild boar ragù even better. And the baked potatoes were amazing (they seem simple, but they're often pitiful). Congratulations and thank you for doing this hard work (we know a thing or two about it!) with great empathy and professionalism. ❤️

09/11/2025: Risotto cotto a crudo was something special. The lobster pasta was also first class. The High quality was very welcome given the proximity to the tourist areas. Good wine selection out door seating was comfortable and the street quiet. Staff was warm and welcoming.

11/10/2025: Pizza Bianca was the star of the show, very nice place in a hidden corner. the host was very nice. we came after school ended so it was noisy, but added "flavor" to the place.

07/12/2025: Pesto pasta is delicious ㅎㅎ The oxtail stew and oxtail stew pasta are average. The meat is tender and the sauce flavor is good. The pizza is also okay. I don't think Italian food itself is that good ㅎㅎ But I think most of the food here is okay. I recommend it. And the hard bread that comes out at the end has nuts in it and it's delicious ㅎㅎ Normally, you dip bread in boiled, thick wine, but that's not served ㅎㅎ They say it's wine too, but there are so many different wine varieties ㄷㄷ

07/12/2025: An authentic restaurant, despite being in the tourist area next to the Pantheon, it maintains the feel of a family-run Italian eatery. The food and service were excellent, and the value for money was very good. After dessert, they offered us limoncello, a lovely touch.

27/11/2025: It's a little further from the Vatican. The gelato was so delicious it was worth a visit, and the staff was very friendly. It's a great neighborhood gelato shop.

23/10/2025: I've tried three different gelatos, and this one melts the fastest and is less chewy. However, they greet you in Korean and are very friendly, so I give them 5 stars. If you want to wash your hands, exit the store and go to the park on the left. There's a free water fountain there! There are a lot of Koreans there!

As soon as you arrive, you immediately sense their passion, which translates into impeccable service even at peak times. Their smiles never waver, making the experience pleasant and authentic. Among the options, I highly recommend the ham and cheese sandwich, always well-cooked and of superior quality, which confirms the attention to detail that characterizes this place. A place where you feel welcomed, ideal for a quick but valuable break. I will definitely be back.
