04/05/2026: I stayed and dined at Benito al Bosco, and the experience was truly delightful. The property, nestled in the woods, has an '80s style but is well-maintained and perfectly in keeping with the natural surroundings. To reach it, you travel along narrow roads, which can make crossings with other vehicles a bit tricky, but this is a characteristic of the area, not the property itself, and it also contributes to the place's charm. The entrance is very charming, decorated with numerous photos of famous people (politicians, singers, footballers, actors), which tell the story of the place. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and well-maintained, with clean bathrooms equipped with everything you need. The property has ample parking, with the option, if available, of using some spaces right in front of the entrance. The restaurant was a pleasant surprise: the menu isn't overly extensive but is well-thought out, with both meat and fish options. We tried both options, and the quality was excellent. The capriccio di mare and the pacchero storico were particularly delicious. We also appreciated the variety of breads available. The service was fast, attentive, and above all very friendly. There's also a swimming pool and the option to eat both inside and outside, depending on the season. A truly pleasant stay, made even better by the kindness and helpfulness of the staff. Breakfast wasn't huge, especially on the savory side, but it was still good quality: the crostata and Sacher torte were very good.

29/06/2026: A friend of mine and I were there, and by chance we discovered this fantastic osteria. Excellent food, especially fresh and all made to order. Very polite and friendly owners. Highly recommended. I will gladly return.

14/06/2026: Two of my friends and I stumbled upon this place by chance while we were on vacation. We were greeted with the phrase, "Time has stopped here, and in fact the clock is broken." In reality, time itself is literally lost in this place. The restaurant is furnished and decorated in an original way, with a mix and match of objects, each with its own story, but which together create a welcoming atmosphere. The flavors, aromas, and appearance of the dishes are those of times gone by; some think of a mother's cooking, others a grandmother's, but the chef is a man who was taught that the fundamental ingredient in cooking is the heart, and you can taste it in every "simple" traditional dish from these wonderful areas of the Castelli Romani. The service is impeccable; all the dishes were described and presented perfectly, and all expectations were far exceeded! There are just a few tables, and it's beautiful how, so naturally, the guests begin to interact with each other, as if it were a family dinner. The icing on the cake, but we know it was a stroke of luck and that it's not always possible, was being able to visit "the underground" of the underground, a journey through time through a series of caves that allow you to experience the history of this city and its stratifications, as well as the passage of man throughout history and which concludes in a cave, where effectively "time has stopped".

07/06/2026: We ate here on a Saturday evening when they served the fixed-price tasting menu, consisting of three appetizers, two first courses, two second courses, a side dish, and dessert. The food was excellent, typical of the area and homemade, given the family-run nature of the restaurant. The portions were generous for a tasting menu. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive. We'll definitely be back as soon as we're in the area again!

27/06/2026: It's not the first time I've been there and I'd say the service was decent, but last night it was surprisingly inedible. I avoided making a scene because it's not in my nature, we got up, paid, and expressed our displeasure. They say that where you feel good, you always return, and this place is definitely not worth returning to. Today another bad experience with takeout food: raw meat and burnt chicken... a total disappointment. I thought our reviews would help improve the situation, but I was wrong.

01/07/2026: I went to dinner at this restaurant with my husband for the first time, and I have to say we'll definitely be back! The place is beautiful and well-kept, but above all, clean, which is essential for me. The service is truly top-notch; there are many young people who take care of each customer meticulously. The food is very good, and the selection is vast. We found some dishes on the all-you-can-eat menu that we'd never tried in other restaurants of this kind. The sushi alla gricia, amatriciana, and carbonara are definitely worth trying, even for skeptics! We'll definitely be back next time!

The staff are young, polite, friendly, fast, and professional. You can also eat outside in the large shaded area. We'll gladly return. Trattoria-style prices, fine dining.

12/06/2026: Dining at Up Feel Home, as UP is now called, is—allow me the bold comparison—a bit like treating yourself to an evening at a spa. I've described the welcome, discretion, and kindness of the staff many times, but over the years it's always the same, yet always differently enjoyable. The menu's homepage shows a cloche revealing a profoundly evolved venue, and to better understand this evolution, my wife and I chose the tasting menu at the chef's discretion. The end result was truly delightful. Beef meatball to start, egg in purgatory with a tomato coulis, parmesan foam, and truly delicious crispy bacon, cuttlefish with cardoncelli mushrooms, pea gel, and roast sauce that deserves a special mention, as does the "Sentiero," a cappelletti stuffed with venison with gorgonzola and coffee sauce. Then there's the exceptionally prepared eggplant, and to finish, a macaron filled with locally sourced ricotta, chocolate, and a delicious tartlet. I personally accompanied the journey with glasses chosen by the sommelier, and here too I was pleasantly surprised by tasting Burgundy wines with a killer Pinot Noir finish. The mentions aside. Explosions of flavors, completely different from one another. The truly masterfully prepared cuttlefish literally melted in the mouth, and after forking it with the crispy mushroom, the pea cream, and mopping it up in the roast sauce, it left a flavorful, delicate taste in the mouth, with a truly surprising explosion of sauce at the end. The cappelletto. I love roe deer as much as I do gorgonzola, but that doesn't affect my judgment. Exceptional. Calling the dish a "Path" is the exact description. Strong flavors, yes, but decisive and intense, which, combined with the long cooking of the roe deer, make this dish truly excellent. I forgot to mention the eggplant, a sort of parmigiana/pie with an incredible flavor, and the delicate sea bass. Congratulations, Cristian, and congratulations to the staff. The evolution I mentioned at the beginning is visible and palpable. A restaurant that certainly stands out in a challenging area like Velletri, but one that deserves attention, consideration, and respect. For the commitment, the work, the dedication, and the attention to even the smallest details. And thank you again for a beautiful and enjoyable evening. I've been here many times, and it gets better each time. The food, the staff, the atmosphere... everything is excellent. Well done.

11/03/2026: Since it opened, it's definitely my favorite place in the area when I want a good, relaxed meal, with a relaxing atmosphere and extremely professional staff. They always manage to please me. Last night for dinner, I needed something light but delicious. I recommend it.

02/05/2026: Beautiful food and excellent service. We were a large group from Ireland travelling with small kids. The staff are very accommodating. They gave great recommendations. The wine and cocktails were fantastic. This restaurant is a must for anyone traveling to Velletri. A special shout out to Matilde. We had little to no Italian and she went above and beyond for us.

But what really stood out was the staff: warm, professional, and genuinely attentive without being over the top. They made the whole experience feel effortless. Easily one of the best dining experiences we’ve had—highly recommend.
