From the welcoming and atmospheric setting to the exceptional quality of the food, every aspect of our dinner exceeded expectations. We started our meal with gnocchi mixed with porcini mushrooms, which were simply excellent. The soft texture of the dumplings paired with the rich, earthy flavor of the porcini mushrooms created an irresistible dish that reflected the chef's skill in combining simple ingredients to create complex flavors. Next, we sampled the mutton-filled bombettes, a dish that further demonstrated the culinary mastery of the restaurant. The mutton was tender and juicy, with a rich flavor that went perfectly with the aromatic spices and filling. Each bite was an explosion of flavor that left us wanting more. Because I have tasted some truly unique dishes and when I say so it is because the combinations are truly stunning, as is their presentation!!!! You can see that there is a lot of work behind it and it takes great skill to make them. The service is impeccable and the owner of the place is a truly professional person who knows how to satisfy the customer's requests, my husband and I had a great time with his advice. The restaurant is well looked after and very intimate and at lunch the view of the abbey fortress is priceless. Highly recommended!!!!

26/02/2024: Si r' perfetto x eventi informali ma anche ricercati il proprietario e" sommelier. Noi siamo stati molto bene .lo abbiamo scelto x una rimpatriata dalla scuola. Antipastone primi succulenti agnolotti e gnoccacchi da urlo ..stinco spalla di maialino galletto brasato di cervo..mah tutti insieme ma quanti ancora ne hanno!! Vino ..lago di corbara rosso..e amari e rum e whisky alla fine ..non si puo' immaginare..dintrovarli lassu' !!!! ..ECCELLENTE!!

01/04/2024: Nice restaurant in the village of Subiaco. Thanks to Tommaso and all the other guys who pampered us. I hadn't been here for nine years and I would have liked to come back sooner! For Easter Monday 2024 there was a nice menu of which I will post photographs. Delicious food, excellent service and a lovely place, especially in the basement..

06/04/2024: The venue is intimate, elegant, with beautiful acoustics and the right lighting. The dishes proposed for the Easter Monday menu included meat sushi and tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms and truffles, all to perfection. The staff are trained, friendly and professional. The wine proposals are also interesting. The bill is perfectly consistent. Highly recommended.

06/04/2024: Nice view but terrible service! Very long waits and distracted and poorly prepared service. Here is the reason for such a low rating: we phone to find out if it is possible to have a table for four people and they give us availability. When we arrive, they make us sit down and from that moment a negative experience begins. The waiters are quite numerous but there is no presence of expert figures who can guide and manage a staff in which there are many tables to be served and distributed across multiple environments. We sit down, they bring us water and then a wait of over 40 minutes begins in which we have to call one of the waiters several times to remind them that we haven't ordered yet: a waitress responds by saying that she has many tables to attend to. Finally, another waitress arrives and takes the order: two appetizers and four first courses. Furthermore, we had to change from the dishes that were listed on the menu because the lasagna with nettles and white ragù was not available. A new long wait begins. They justify themselves by telling us that there were problems in the kitchen. Indeed, we glimpse comings and goings from the kitchens and feel a lot of confusion. Meanwhile, they bring us empty saucers. For another 30 minutes nothing arrives: the appetizer does not include anything cooked and therefore, although the kitchen may be in crisis, it could arrive in less time but this is not the case. Meanwhile, other tables also increase the intensity of the previous complaints justified by the long waits. Finally the starter arrives: discreet. Acceptable portions for the price. The appetizer is brought to us by one of the few waiters who takes care to pass between the tables and ask if everything is okay given that the situation is chaotic and many tables have not been served. We ask for some bread since the basket had not been brought to us and he is diligent in providing it. The first ones arrive in normal times. The lasagna with mushrooms and white ragù is not recommended at all: the mushrooms are only on the outside and the quantity of bechamel is disproportionate. The fettuccine alla Ciociara is good (excellent consistency of the homemade pasta). Meanwhile, around us, a family who has not received even a single dish after a very long wait, decides to leave. We ask for four coffees and then, even to pay we have to wait a bit because there is no person in charge at the cash register but it is necessary to intercept a waitress. The menu that does not show the allergen list; among other things, the waiters didn't bother to take it back once the order was placed but we had to put it on a table next to us. The costs are not low, given the quality of the service and some dishes, but they are compensated by the location. The view is beautiful and the place has an important history as attested by some memorabilia: a postcard of Ungaretti who stayed here, an article talking about the lunch that Rossellini and Ingrid Bergman had here and many other historical testimonies. The Art Nouveau furnishings and 1920s prints are also beautiful. Lacking in food and service: not recommended.

Tutto buonissimo, dalle orecchiette con cime di rapa agli strozzapreti (non ricordo come li hanno chiamati 😅) con ragù con ricotta salata, fino alle polpette al sugo. Simpatica e cordiale una delle titolari che si è presa cura di noi.

The restaurant has a green room, the welcoming central blue room; the final red room, the largest The refined furnishings, with warm colors and a style between vintage and Provençal, give a touch of originality to the environment, without however altering its identity, to the point of giving the place a relaxing atmosphere even during the Christmas period , the right music and, the cuisine is attentive and excellent even for those with nutritional problems, such as vegetarians but above all those suffering from celiac disease, therefore they can provide every dish requested with the utmost attention. We had already tried their mixed platter starter, so this year we tried the ham shank in its delicious sauce, the sliced ​​turkey and the red turnip Cappellacci stuffed with mascarpone in a walnut and pine nut sauce and to finish in style the tiramisu served on the mocha. The quality of the food, the location and the price are up to par and therefore recommended and appreciated.
