05/05/2026: This place was recommended to me by a guide from the Monastery of San Benedetto, whom I will forever be grateful for. It's a very nice place, with excellent cuisine and reasonable prices for what you get.

03/05/2026: I discovered this place by chance, in a truly delightful location and with an atmosphere that's been meticulously maintained. The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming, and the food was truly excellent. Just two small comments: access can be a bit difficult for motorcyclists, and the menu could be slightly expanded. That said, I highly recommend it to everyone!

03/05/2026: Wonderful location. Terrace overlooking the river! The sturgeon and pumpkin gnocchi were delicious, as were the fettuccine with ragù. The waiters were incredibly kind and even let us sit on the terrace even though we hadn't booked. I also recommend the tiramisu! Top!

22/03/2026: I just had lunch at Origini di Subiaco and I have to say it was a real pleasure! The food was delicious, the dishes were creative and carefully presented. The service was impeccable, and the staff were kind and helpful. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the place is perfect for a relaxing break surrounded by Subiaco's nature. I highly recommend it! 😊

02/02/2026: My mother's 80th birthday, with us, her children, and grandchildren. We were all delighted by the dishes, always colorful and with flavors you could taste. He was so kind, he even brought us a few extra plates so we could taste them together! The dishes were so delicious, they even awakened the senses of my ninety-year-old dad! Thanks again :-)

15/06/2026: The location is perfect to check on the most underrated site in all of Italy, the Sacro Speco monastero at the top of the hill. It was a nice morning walk up. That said the place needs a lot better management. The front desk guy bordered on surly and assigned us a tiny room in a construction zone that smelled terrible, like moldy linen. Once it was changed to a bigger room it was better. We got the breakfast/dinner option, which was very well priced but the dinner was almost inedibly bad. The “carbonara” was a sticky mess with grey lumps of guanciale or pancetta. The secondo was forgettable. The kitchen staff was very good and extremely polished and professional so the place has potential to be really good. Just get a good cook, come up with a sensible easy and repeatable dinner menu and focus on one block of aired out rooms with fresh linens and bright simple colors. The Sacro Speco monastery is one of the greatest sites in all of Italy and it looked like they were in the middle of renovation so the place has potential. It was certainly well priced

15/05/2026: Clean and comfortable rooms, just a little small, large and convenient parking, good service: the lady who takes care of breakfasts and packed lunches is really kind and helpful.

01/06/2026: A young and welcoming place, excellent service! We had a delicious burger with tomatoes and salad. The fries with their skins on...a real treat!!! Kudos to the two waiters, especially Valeria, a friendly woman and excellent tour guide.

01/06/2026: I experienced the longest waiting in my life for “fast food”, we were travelling to visit this beautiful town, we hoped to get a fast lunch and continue our visiting… also that day was super hot and sunny, after we walked all the morning, I wish to get some fresh drink asap. But! We waited someone to come and clean up the table about 10 mins…and we ordered the drinks and food, waited another 20 mins only for the drinks! The food come after 40 mins later! Yes, the sandwich was huge, the extra point was giving to that… to me, it won’t be a next time

07/06/2026: Historic building dating back to the early 20th century, with a wonderful panoramic location, surrounded by greenery. Clean and quiet rooms, breakfast provided by the owner but self-catering. To reach the B&B, you must walk up a narrow uphill road with an adjoining staircase, albeit just a few dozen meters. Guests can dine in the adjoining excellent restaurant run by the host, enjoying a splendid view under the shade of a pergola, or inside in a wonderful Art Nouveau dining room.

02/05/2026: A wonderful experience at this old "hosterya" from the early 1900s. The polenta was excellent, especially the wild boar one, and then the "abbraccio" (hug). Finally, the sour cherry tart, made entirely by the 83-year-old grandmother, including the jam.

24/03/2026: Sapori e Bontà is a family-run restaurant where women rule the roost, literally. The Calabrian family runs this corner of Calabria in Livata. They offer traditional cuisine with exceptional ingredients. I recommend the fried meatballs with a secret aroma...crazy! Never stop. The baked chicken is exceptional. You absolutely have to try it. Few seats, but it's welcoming and simple. The service is excellent. Bravi! Bravi! BRAVI

21/02/2026: Nice but uncomfortable atmosphere...very small and the bathroom has no hot water. Waitresses have to leave one room and return from the other because the two rooms aren't connected except by a serving hatch. Relatively informal service. The wait is a bit long given that they only serve two dishes per course. The food is good, but the house appetizer is meager. Prices are high.

20/11/2025: 5 stars are not enough, 10 would be needed, excellent food, fantastic atmosphere, same service, you must try the wood-fired pizzas, the appetizers, the first courses including homemade fettuccine with truffles... Grated truffle on top... TOP TOP Roberto (a must-see before going to Monte Livata and on the way back 😜).. thanks Elisabetta

16/11/2025: It was my first time dining at the restaurant (there were three of us). What can I say? The staff were extremely polite and professional, and the food was delicious and plentiful, and the price was reasonable. My heartfelt congratulations: we'll be back at the first opportunity!

02/06/2026: This restaurant is located in the center of Subiaco. I think it's really difficult to define it in just a few words. The vintage English-style atmosphere in the first room feels like being in the living room of a truly beautiful home. There are two other rooms, one large and very beautiful with bright colors and a smaller one also decorated in a vintage style. The wait staff is friendly and knowledgeable, the owner is very kind, and the food is excellent, with dishes revisited in a harmonious and exquisite way. The bill is reasonable. My compliments, truly. I could feel the passion for their work.
