La Pergola is Rome's first and, to date, only Michelin 3-star restaurant. Sitting in the rooftop garden of the Hotel Cavalieri in Rome, you can enjoy views of the Eternal City from the Waldorf Astoria Hotel while ordering Chef Heinz Beck's fine Mediterranean cuisine.
Their handmade pasta is the star of the show. The Fagotelli La Pergola is served with slow-cooked veal and zucchini, accompanied by guanciale sauce, in a delicate wrapper filled with Pecorino cheese, egg yolks, and whipped cream. Baby squid risotto, saffron with carrot and myrtle sauce, or lamb are other options on the illa carte menu, and the 7-course and 10-course tasting menus are also popular.
Toward the hotel, there are suites decorated with precious artwork dating back three centuries, as well as a terrace for impromptu outdoor parties.

I Sofà Bar Restaurant & Roof Terrace

16/05/2026: We attended a First Communion celebration and everything was excellent. They have a wonderful rooftop terrace. The restaurant also has a very pleasant terrace on the ground floor.
The food lived up to the location, and the service was excellent.
We have wonderful memories of our experience at I Sofá. Thank you!

We were very pleased with both the welcome we received from the entire staff (helpfulness, courtesy, presence, professionalism) and the quality of the dishes we ordered (preparation, ingredients, presentation). A classy, modern, and well-maintained location in the historic center of Via Giulia in Rome. An excellent experience.

18/05/2026: Four of us visited this wonderful place for an international breakfast and were blown away. Each of us had a different craving, but we were all completely satisfied!
We had scrambled eggs with smoked salmon, granola, pancakes, and a slice of cake: everything was simply perfect, with the freshest, highest-quality ingredients. The dishes were not only delicious, but also incredibly creative.
The place is beautiful and meticulously designed, but what really makes the difference is the atmosphere. The entire staff welcomes you with a smile, and a special thanks goes to the owner, Francesco. He's friendly, hospitable, and incredibly professional; you can tell he puts his heart into it, and he's the real added value of the place.
In short, a perfect experience. We've already decided: every single time we return to Rome, this will be our regular stop!
18/05/2026: Barley coffee tastes just like coffee and small is espresso size for 3eu. Scrambled eggs were so soft they were slimy and had no added seasoning, including no salt or pepper! Had to add. Cheese on eggs was 3 euro! Bread was okay and jam tasted more like fruit than red onion. Juices overpriced. Service was great and accomadating but I prefer to eat elsewhere especially for the costs

The quality of the food was excellent, and the service was both friendly and professional.
The carbonara was delicious, rich, creamy, and full of flavor. Make sure to try their signature fried artichokes as well, highly recommended!

The owner is nice and knows what he's doing. Price is great. Strongly recommended. You will be addicted.
12/05/2026: I come to Rome quite often and yet i think this is the best sandwich i ever had. The quality of the ingredients are insane. You can also customize ur sandwich as per your liking. The owner is also very generous and kind. I really don’t post reviews in general but this place deserves it.

14/05/2026: We discovered this place by chance before going to the nearby Tibur cinema. Everything was excellent: the atmosphere, the service, and especially the food. We had a fried vegetable appetizer (crispy, not soggy), followed by an El Capitan burger (double burger), and a chicken strip. Excellent value, definitely worth trying again!

Excellent, flavorful dishes prepared with great care, respecting tradition, in a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere that immediately made us feel at home.
Special praise goes to Giada, who was truly brilliant: she managed and served a small, fully-filled room with about 20 seats with professionalism, kindness, and great attention, all by herself, without ever losing her smile and attentiveness.
A very positive experience, definitely worth repeating.
