11/10/2025: We had an incredible dinner at La Falterona! The Florentine steak was absolutely amazing. It was hands down the best steak my husband and I have ever had. Prior to cooking the steak, they bring it out to the table for you to look at and then once it is cooked, they cut it in front of you at your table. The service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. We left completely satisfied and can’t wait to come back next time we are in Florence. Highly recommend!

10/10/2025: I came here to get takeout since it's close to my accommodation, and they said if you order the Truffle Special, you get a free classic pizza to takeout! So I ordered the tomato-based truffle pizza, and it was so delicious! I want to come back again next time🥹

12/10/2025: I booked through The Fork app because it seemed like a popular spot, probably because guides recommended it. The reviews were good, but I didn't get the 20% discount. I wonder if there's something wrong with the app. (If you book through the app, be sure to check your email. I later received an email saying the discount wasn't applied. Don't overpay for that.) When I checked out, the discount wasn't applied. A T-bone steak, truffle pasta, and a glass of house wine came out to 168 euros, almost 300,000 won. Is that right? The food wasn't that good, and the sirloin was tough, so I mostly ate the tenderloin. Perhaps because I'd had fresh pasta in Venice, the truffle pasta was average. I got sick of the T-bone steak. I made a reservation for 7:45 and got in right away, but it took over 20 minutes just to order, and another 20 minutes for the food to come out. I didn't eat until almost 8:30. I ordered a 1.3 kilo T-bone, but they brought out 1.5 kilos and showed it to me, telling me to eat that. I ended up leaving it all. I ordered a glass of wine midway through, and they only brought it to me when I was almost finished. This was my first meal in Venice and the Dolomites, and it was terrible. I never want to go back. Is Florence really like this? It took forever to order one thing, and 300,000 won for two dishes is just so worthless. I don't want to go there again.

10/10/2025: We ate here on our first night in Florence and enjoyed it so much we went back on our last. Everything we ate was delicious. Welcoming staff, lovely atmosphere. Very reasonable prices. Would highly recommend. We loved the cheese/ artichoke fondue (?) the chicken liver pate, the wild boar pasta, the porcini pasta and the risotto with brie and prawns.

11/10/2025: I had the Prosecco, Pappa Al pomodoro, and wild boar with pasta. Everything came out fresh, was delicious, and the staff was very kind. Would definitely eat here again.

10/10/2025: The Airbnb wasn’t fully cleaned yet, so the host recommended a nice restaurant across the street. I went there and was very satisfied — it had a great atmosphere, reasonably priced pasta, and friendly staff.

15/10/2025: Very good food and plenty of it, just a stone's throw from the cathedral, in a street that allows you to have a quiet lunch even though it's right in the center.

08/10/2025: We popped in here for a quick drink and a bite. After walking around for a bit. Very popular place. There's a little bit of a weight but staff was very helpful and tried to move quickly. There are seated areas upstairs as well as on the main level. I had the Ham and cheese sandwich and it was delicious. We also enjoyed coffee and latte and some tea. All very good!

11/10/2025: Delicious ice cream! No bright, chemical colors, just natural ingredients. Very friendly people. The Bacio flavor is especially delicious!

05/09/2025: It's been years since I've had such an excellent lampredotto sandwich or peposo. Lately, the "lampredottai" (lampredotto joints) I used to go to have lost some of their quality. Here, I found courteous, fast, and even friendly service, but above all, excellent quality ingredients. The sandwich bread is perfect and doesn't fall apart like it often does. It's also incredibly comfortable, with seating both inside and out. Well done, keep it up! I'll definitely be back again!!!

21/07/2025: Lampredotto is an institution in Florence, and every Florentine has their favorite lampredotto maker: Lapo is mine. When I met him, he amazed me by serving me cold Lambruschino with lampredotto, which I later discovered is fantastic in the summer because it "cuts the fat." But lampredotto isn't fatty; it's the leanest meat of the entire animal, and it was the only food I could eat after an operation that kept me on a strict diet for several months. In short: Lapo weaned me on lampredotto! And lampredotto is just the most famous of Lapo's dishes, which he uses all the "poor" cuts, from sinew to breast, to tripe, which he also reworks "on the plate" like inzimino, cacciatora, artichokes, and everything delicious you can imagine with the "fifth quarter." Can you say that? Lapo is a high-end tripe maker who doesn't show off and delivers high quality. I don't want to make comparisons, since every Florentine has their favorite tripe shop...

07/10/2025: I made a reservation through Instagram DM. They said T-bones start at 1.3 kilos, so we both ordered a 1 kilo of the L-bone. The steak was absolutely delicious. I can't stop thinking about it. And the fries were absolutely delicious. A half-liter of house wine was perfect for two. This was the most memorable restaurant of my trip.

07/10/2025: What's the deal...? The photos turned out great. I made a reservation, so I went right in without waiting. The data connection is low, so search for the menu before you go in~ The meat was really tender. I ordered a bottle of house wine. The wine I bought at the supermarket was delicious. ^^

18/09/2025: this place came up right at the perfect time, we just been to boboli gardens, walking up slopes in the blistering sun, gagging for water and we see a sign “fried squid and cocktails 9€” instantly went in and amazed beyond belief.

09/10/2025: Peak fine dining experience. The location alone is one of a kind. Located in the heart of Florence inside Hotel Brunelleschi, in a tower, they have very limited seating. The reservation process alone was an adventure in itself. Our visit was to celebrate 3 Libra birthdays. Our party of 4 opted for the 9 courses. One of us decided to do the wine pairing. When I tell you, there was so much food. We would’ve probably been better off doing the 7 courses, but we wanted to eat everything. We were all falling asleep by the end of the night. One was nonstop yawning. To the unfamiliar, they focus more on seafood. Every dish is out of this world. Down to the presentation. I savored every bite. The standout for me was the oyster and how it came in two parts. It was so innovative. I loved the sauces that accented the protein and the jus. Don’t even get me started on the service. What an attentive team. I always refer to it as poetry in motion the way the team moves effortlessly that you don’t even realize when they refill your glass of water. No crumb was left behind on that table. Someone scraped up anything that didn’t belong on the table after every course. Lastly, I just want to mention what a great job they did with the birthday cake that was an add-on to our meal. It was so damn good. Grazie Chef Rocco and team for an amazing meal.

06/10/2025: I chose the seven-course wine pairing menu, and it was truly exceptional. Each dish was beautifully prepared, and the wines matched every course with remarkable precision. The sea urchin and salted roe pasta was particularly memorable — rich, balanced, and full of depth. It was also my first time trying pigeon, and it was tender and flavorful, without any trace of gaminess. The entire experience lasted about four hours, yet it felt perfectly paced and immersive. After visiting the Uffizi Gallery, enjoying this dinner felt like the most elegant way to unwind. I not only enjoyed every moment but also learned so much about wine pairing throughout the evening.
