I went to Hosteria Ganino on the recommendation of a Florentine colleague, and what a fantastic place! Easily the best steak we had on the trip; I regret not going more often. The service is very good and the food incredible.
We ordered the bistecca alla fiorentina (€59/kg), fries, and the house wine; everything was perfect.

Stumbled onto this place in a relatively quieter part of Florence off the main shopping street then realised it was recommended by our AirBnB host. A lovely setting outside with great food. We had a healthy serving of the pear and pecorino salad, and the amazing roast pork which melted in our mouths. The pomodoro cannelloni was most up to scratch as well. Service was perfunctory at best but totally efficient.

Amazing service, the owner is such a kind person. The bistecca alla fiorentina was beyond excellent and they have a great selection of wines. Loved everything about da Ganino!

Everything was excellent. The food, prices, service, staff, and location were all excellent. The meat was delicious and cooked to perfection. The prices were very fair.

We ate at this restaurant last night and were truly delighted. We had a delicious Florentine steak, cooked to perfection! The staff were very friendly, the place was lovely, and the prices were more than fair! I highly recommend this restaurant! I'll definitely be back next time I'm in Florence.

A welcoming, family-friendly place. The food was excellent and of such high quality that we returned two nights in a row. But the best part, besides the food, was the service. Clara and Emanuele were incredibly kind, friendly, and helpful. Definitely a place to return to. The best osteria in Florence!

An extraordinary place right in the heart of the historic center. The food is excellent, the service is superb, and the value for money is remarkable for its location (about 200 meters from Piazza della Signoria).
I'd like to add a detail from our second visit: there was a mix-up, and my wife's dish came out a little before mine. The difference wasn't even five minutes, but they apologized several times and even gave us a discount on the final bill. It wasn't necessary, as mistakes can happen in any service, but these are the kinds of details that add to the overall experience of this great place to eat.
