01/09/2025: Great small restaurant a short way from Teatro Garibaldi, on a not-too-busy street corner. Nice outside seating and nice inside as well. Good servers but sometimes very busy. Usual service is very good. I had a delicious eponymous pasta dish (Tonnarelli Magna Roma) and an eponymous drink, the Spritz Magna Roma. Both were terrific and reasonably priced. The drink was somewhat darker and made me think of a Negroni Spritz (which I have not seen). The pasta was a more interesting variation on the carbonara, with mushrooms and crunchy artichoke slices. Very good! Another time I had tonnarelli pasta with zucchini, and it was delicious! Spicy accents of black pepper in the cheesy sauce, and wonderful grilled zucchini. Very pleasant and relaxing place. I'm a regular now!

16/10/2025: The bar is very cute, recently renovated in a modern style. It's famous for its calzones and croissants, but you can also enjoy much more (baked anelletti, various rotisserie dishes).

12/10/2025: Geraci Siculo is home to this simple restaurant, but the food is divine. Authentic, fresh, and traditional flavors. The pappardelle with wild boar ragù is exceptional, the roast meat is tasty and tender, and the house wine is divine. A culinary paradise of simplicity on earth.

29/09/2025: A great local spot, with pastries to die for! For 5 coffees and various sweets, I paid less than €20. I recommend the pistachio cream croissant: it's to die for 🤤

13/09/2025: Inexperienced waiters, I would even say, they do not understand what is happening at all. When opening a bottle of prosecco, they flooded the entire room, they tried to wipe a huge puddle with my napkin, then took more napkins, but it did not help. We found a cleaner with a mop in about 10 minutes. The guys were not embarrassed by the situation, they just poured me the rest of the bottle. They do not have glasses for prosecco either. They brought side dishes before the main course in 20 minutes, the meat was indicated in the order and on the check 800 grams, but in reality it was about 300 minus the bone (100-150). The staff really does not understand the service. They never brought the change. I do not recommend this place.

08/09/2025: The ribs were juicy and delicious, my husband had the al magnum pizza and states it was delicious , music latino which gave us a nice atmosphere and the staff were very attentive and welcoming. Top notch, will definitely come back.

07/06/2025: Regular customer in the past, last night a big disappointment. Uramaki that crumbled when picked up with chopsticks, mushy rice, salmon carpaccio full of vinegar strong to the point of nausea, dishes that did not arrive and that had to be hurried. Lobster Uramaki usually very good, microscopic with rather questionable seasoning. Only one waiter at times under stress, only one Sushiman. I arrive in the bathroom, lights off, I go in to do a small business, defective handle that almost left me locked. Too bad.

11/10/2025: A place that exudes history, walls filled with photos of famous customers and cuisine from various eras. Small but beautiful, with just the right amount of discretion, perhaps even accustomed to a clientele that isn't just casual tourists. So, expectations were high, and we got off to a slow start, especially since it was our fourth day dining in Palermo. A sfincione for four to share was very good, followed by four first courses: tortellini in broth, busiate pasta with pistachio and shrimp, paccheri with pork ragù, and ravioli with tomato sauce filled with eggplant and smoked scamorza. Everything was very good, although the ravioloni were the highlight for us. Having resolved our reservations, we ordered a mixed boiled meat with saffron potatoes, pleasant and delicate in flavor—good, in fact, very good. Good value for money. A restaurant worth trying if you come to Sicily.

09/10/2025: You might be told that in Sicily, especially in Palermo, the food is good everywhere. But at Casa del Brodo, the food is truly delicious. The menu offers excellent suggestions. The dishes have flavors that enrich the palate, such as the eggplant rolls or fried red mullet. The dessert was a delight. The wine list is simple but offers good choices. The price is reasonable. A restaurant to recommend. Reservations are recommended.
