14/06/2026: We were there for lunch yesterday. The food (fresh salads and pasta alla Norma) was excellent. The service was also superb – the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The ambiance under the trees with a sea view is fantastic!

11/06/2026: Beautiful view and a good restaurant. Personally I think this place would be best as a group and you can share some plates as they are quite large. I went by myself and was absolutely stuffed. I didn’t make the best choices for myself as I ordered things that were very rich, but that’s on me. Overall it was a pleasant dinner and the staff and service were excellent. It’s a large farm and much of the produce comes directly from the farm, which is nice. I had dessert (forgot to photograph) of little pastries filled with ricotta and pistachio paste, these were not to my taste. But again I think this was more my choices than the restaurant. I will definitely go again and try different things from the menu.

05/07/2026: I'm a true pistachio granita enthusiast: I try it practically everywhere, and I have enough to compare it to to say, without exaggeration, that THIS IS THE BEST PISTACHIO GRANITA I've ever had.
The flavor is intense, with pistachios that seem freshly chopped. The sweetness is perfect, never overpowering, and the texture is just the right amount of creamy.
I also tried the almond and coffee version: good, but not as extraordinary as the pistachio one, despite costing the same €5.80.
The brioche col tuppo is small but very flavorful. I also paired it with a slice of panettone, which is practically a must here.
For pistachio lovers, this granita is definitely worth a try.
02/07/2026: Fantastic shop, I have been here several times during my travels around Sicily! I very much enjoyed the degustation of your famous produce and also to pause for a coffee and delicious cartocci! Bought a few pannetonis which my loved ones enjoyed so much! pistachio crème and torroncini are great as well! Wish I could try more things but I guess I have another tasty reason to return to this magical island!

19/05/2026: We had the most lovely meal at Il Carretto.
The service was so friendly, they were helpful with the menu in explaining the dishes including the specials.
The prices are very reasonable and the portions are decent.
We had eggplant meatballs for starters which were so tasty.
For mains I had the Spaghetti with muscles which had a great amount of muscles and a delicious flavour.
We did not have room for dessert but I’d be keen to go back to see what they offer!
Highly recommend this restaurant which is in a nice quiet location with beautiful views of the church tower up the alley way.

03/07/2026: We visited this restaurant based on positive reviews, and we couldn’t have made a better choice. The restaurant is in a stunning location, and the food and service were just as amazing. Everything is prepared with fresh ingredients, and the prices are more than reasonable for Sicily. I highly recommend this place.

09/05/2026: A fantastic place. We've been twice. One day just for drinks because we weren't hungry. The lady encouraged us to try the food, so we returned for dinner the next day. What a great idea! I'm a pretty good cook, but the pasta and salads the owner's daughter made us were, in my opinion, the best I've ever had. They also paired us with a great wine. Finally, we had tiramisu, which literally melted in our mouths. The owner's live music adds to the atmosphere of this place. It's a shame we're leaving because we'd eat there every day. Don't think it's just a pub. It's a wonderful restaurant. The prices? Very reasonable for the food and portion sizes. For three courses, a bottle of wine, a drink, and dessert, €77 is a bargain.

04/05/2026: This pizzeria is highly recommended. Located just outside the busiest part of the center and with a pleasant terrace in one of Monreale's typical narrow streets. We received good service and the pizza dough was of good quality. We also tried the fried calzone, which was very tasty. The house blonde beer was also highly recommended. The prices are very reasonable for a location like this!

12/07/2026: I've dined at several Michelin-starred restaurants in Europe and North America, and I find it very difficult to understand how they maintain their distinction. I was there with my 9-year-old daughter, and the service was clearly less attentive than for adult diners. The execution was sometimes questionable. The beef carpaccio was smothered in a mustard-based sauce that masked any potential subtlety the dish could have had. The pasta was exquisite, of course. However, the pork belly was undercooked, and the sauces it was served in lacked finesse. On a positive note, the homemade bread and desserts were better, though not enough on their own to justify a star.

Well done!
The only thing I would say is the quantity of some dishes. I understand it's a tasting, but I would have appreciated a few more grams in some dishes, just to "experience" the flavor of the dish.

01/07/2026: This restaurant alone is worth the trip to Gangi. The food was absolutely fantastic—easily one of the best meals we had in Sicily.
The garden is simply beautiful, with stunning views over the surrounding hills. It’s the kind of place where you want to slow down, enjoy the scenery, and stay for hours.
The town of Gangi itself is absolutely gorgeous and well worth visiting, but having a meal here made the experience even more memorable. If you’re passing through, don’t miss this place.

It has plenty of outdoor seating with umbrellas, and clean restrooms, always stocked with toilet paper and soap—a rarity in Palermo. Ciccio is kind, welcoming, and friendly. The sandwiches are excellent, and the clientele is friendly and respectful.
