11/06/2026: Beautiful view and a good restaurant. Personally I think this place would be best as a group and you can share some plates as they are quite large. I went by myself and was absolutely stuffed. I didn’t make the best choices for myself as I ordered things that were very rich, but that’s on me. Overall it was a pleasant dinner and the staff and service were excellent. It’s a large farm and much of the produce comes directly from the farm, which is nice. I had dessert (forgot to photograph) of little pastries filled with ricotta and pistachio paste, these were not to my taste. But again I think this was more my choices than the restaurant. I will definitely go again and try different things from the menu.

25/07/2026: I've eaten some strange poke, but this is a bit too much, I'd have the NAS come and have you check that pitiful fish you give us customers, you can taste a sour taste in the salmon and I don't know in what other ingredient, really pitiful the fish stinks so much that as soon as I opened the box I threw open the windows because of the absurd stench that could be felt

13/08/2026: Essentially the best of all my experiences (over 13 years) in Castelbuono, now far ahead of the others, albeit very pleasant and excellent restaurants. The new location is even more comfortable, the courtesy and precision of the staff are always top-notch. The wine cellar isn't extensive but can accommodate any request, and the food is constantly expanding. The most recent appetizer selection (which I regretfully can't post photos of because I devoured it) features truly excellent dishes, with ricotta and soufflés truly incredible. First courses are excellent, the ravioli are a winner, and the second courses have the potential to improve as they always have. In any case, the balanced experimentation, the use of local ingredients, and the pleasure of dining with the kindness and comfort offered make it a wasted opportunity to pass through Castelbuono and not stop at Palazzaccio.

17/05/2026: I had the pleasure of having lunch with my son at this family-friendly, homey restaurant, welcomed with genuine warmth by the staff who truly care about their customers. The cuisine was excellent, using fresh, local ingredients. We ordered pasta with sardines, pasta alla norma, fried calamari, meatballs, and Sicilian cannoli. Everything was delicious and the prices were truly fair. Well, the next day we returned with our friends. The talented chef offered us freshly baked mushrooms: excellent! And what can we say? Our friends raved about their lunch! Highly recommended!!!! Paola

15/08/2026: ⭐⭐⭐⭐½ — 4.5/5 In the heart of Geraci Siculo, a charming and meticulously maintained village, we discovered Yerax – Il Bel Mangiare for lunch for two. We had booked almost last minute and were greeted with a hospitality that struck me from the start. It was very hot, and once we arrived, I asked if it was possible to set a table outside: no problem. The owner immediately took care of it and seated us outside, then attentively accompanied us throughout the lunch. And it's precisely the hospitality that is one of the things I will remember most about Yerax: almost the feeling of being invited to eat at the owner's home. We started with a tasting of appetizers, all very good, but with a couple of options that deserve special mention. The most surprising was definitely a salted raw meat served on a watermelon base. A combination that might seem intriguing on paper, but in the end, it worked really well. The eggplant parmigiana stuffed with cheese was also very good. For my first course, I chose a fusillone with zucchini pesto and crispy bacon. The crunch of the bacon gave the dish that extra something: truly exceptional. From the other side of the table, a second course arrived, consisting of a sampling of various types of local meats: again, very high quality and a truly convincing result. Overall, we ate very well, with a quality-price ratio that I consider excellent. As for the location, I would make a distinction. Personally, the interior wasn't the element that made me say "wow." Outside, however, the experience is different: the terrace, with its view of the village and the surrounding landscape, was decidedly pleasant, and we were happy we chose to dine outside. But, beyond the location, it was above all the hospitality, welcome, service, and quality of the cuisine that defined our experience. ☕ MrEspresso88's take There are restaurants where you remember a dish, and others where you also remember how you were welcomed. Yerax belongs to the latter category. The owner's helpfulness, from setting up a table outside at our request to his attentive service throughout the meal, gave the experience that special feeling of being a guest in his home. Add to this a cuisine that showcases the local cuisine without sacrificing some surprising pairings, like the salted raw meat with watermelon. 02/07/2026: We stopped in the village without knowing where we would have lunch. We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance, and our meal turned out to be an excellent culinary experience. Everything is homemade, using local produce, by the very friendly chef, who personally serves his refined dishes. The menu is set but very well-crafted. A flawless experience at this beautiful establishment perched in the mountains of the Madonie Park. Thank you to the chef for his warm welcome. This meal at his restaurant will remain one of the best memories of our stay in Cefalù.

11/04/2026: The pizza is delicious, made with high-quality flours and sourdough starter. Easy to digest and not too heavy. Top-notch ingredients. Recommended. They also set up an outdoor garden in the summer. Full of lovely people. Reservations are a must.

19/07/2026: I only tried the lactose-free ice cream at this place. I was very pleased! I tried three flavors: pistachio, strawberry, and dark chocolate (sugar-free). All the flavors were excellent, but my favorite was the pistachio; I went back for a second serving. 😋 You can also order gluten-free brioche ice cream.

16/07/2026: July 2026: Tried both the granita and gelato today. It was fabulous and natural. The mulberry was fantastic.!!

15/05/2026: Finally, a restaurant that offers high-quality vegan cuisine while still being inclusive of omnivores and other dietary needs (e.g., gluten-free). I found everything, absolutely everything, incredibly good and authentic: from the appetizers, to the first course, to the main course, all the way to dessert. Beyond the dishes, the staff and the ambiance are also exceptional. It was a wonderful all-round experience. I'll be back!

15/05/2026: For those who love to travel and eat well, there are evenings worth an entire trip. This evening I had a special experience thanks to a fantastic chef and his team: a team that's never intrusive, truly moved by the joy of their guests. The cuisine expresses a powerful personality. In addition to tasting the best octopus of my life, I was impressed by the vast and meticulously curated selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes. It's haute cuisine that includes everyone, without distinction or compromise on flavor. The chef probably focuses more on pleasing his guests than on awards, but the quality of the research and the soul of this cuisine speak for themselves: I hope these dishes earn a Michelin star soon. Well-deserved.

18/07/2026: Best food and Sicilian wine with the friendliest staff in the coolest well ventilated courtyard in Cefalu amidst an art gallery. We have been coming since 2017 multiple times in our 2 weeks and always look forward to coming back. The only thing I miss this year was the kitties next door who used to venture into the art installation and the olive and palm trees

Very attentive waiters, friendly service with humour and a smile even if you dont speak any Italian at all, very reasonable prices, great portion sizes, large variety of classic as well as innovative foods, extensive beverage menu (special shoutout to the beer menu, also priced very reasonably compared to other locations), nice terrace with gas heaters, mannerful guests, card payment possible, just all around a super pleasant experience for an absolutely neglegible price. Couldnt think of negative aspects even if i tried really hard. Would and will definitely visit again.

15/06/2026: My wife and I recently visited Palermo and had the great pleasure of dining at AlBI 131. We were delighted with the welcome we received, the decor, artwork and most of all the wonderful food and wine that we were served. It was one of the highlights of our visit. This restaurant deserves to be recognised for its fine dining experience and the friendliness of the hosts.

21/05/2026: An absolute must-try in Palermo! Their potato specialties are outstanding, seasoned to perfection, and fried beautifully fresh. The person preparing the food was incredibly friendly and full of positive energy, which made the experience even better. There is something magical about eating right on the street at one of those tiny tables, surrounded by the sights, sounds, and authentic pulse of Palermo. It’s simple, delicious, and captures the true spirit of Sicilian street food culture. Highly recommended!
