19/03/2024: Excellent pizza, well leavened, highly digestible, no nighttime thirst. The waitress and cashier staff were very kind and professional. The guys in charge of the pizza are amazing, as well as competent. Highly recommended both for takeaway and especially in the dining room.

02/01/2024: Rustic gourmet. With these two words you can summarize the entire culinary and environmental concept present in this small but welcoming place. The raw materials are rustic, the dishes derive from the rustic Tuscan tradition and beyond, the portions are "rustic" in quantity and the environment is also basically "rustic". However, everything is reworked and embellished by the experience and excellent taste of the chef and all the staff. This is found in particular combinations of flavours, in the cooking methods, in the choice of some raw materials, in the presentation of the dishes themselves up to the choice and placement in the environment of small and refined decorative gems waiting to be discovered. Everyone is friendly but never "baroque" and this also increases the perception of familiarity and "warmth" that you can breathe in there. A real gem to be savored!

15/10/2023: Really had a great dinner. Homemade tagliolini with exceptional wild boar ragú. The owner is very kind and helpful, finding solutions even for those with celiac disease (not serious). Absolutely recommended!!!

01/04/2024: Quality fixed menu for Easter Monday, rich buffet with very good typical products, ditto for the table menu. Water and wine included and Sicilian cassata of their own production, really good and balanced in sugar (which is not easy to find). The place is very beautiful and surrounded by greenery and the road to get there is easy (among other things they sent us a pdf with the directions the day before on WhatsApp). What I further appreciated was the vegetarian menu they prepared for a vegetarian friend at our table, to whom they also gave vegetable appetizers on the side since the buffet was mainly meat-based. I didn't know the place and it was a pleasant discovery. Really recommended.

30/03/2024: A disappointing fixed menu too expensive for the courses Outside bar that served drinks, it later turned out to be paid and everywhere they are offered! With the same amount of money I ate fish I will never go back there again

02/04/2024: Dining at Mamma Rosa’s was like eating at my own mother’s home! We shared an appetizer plate called Rustico that contained Sicilian specialities such as mini pannelle, mini arangini, caponata, sun dried tomatoes stuffed and fried, etc. I had Pasta con le Sarde — outstanding! My American husband loved his dish of Mamma Rosa’s special pasta dish which had little chunks of sausage in it. A side of creamy and buttery spinach was a perfect side dish. Don’t miss eating here.

02/04/2024: Saturday lunch during a trip around Palermo. The location is not the best, it is located behind the station which I believe is disused, but the restaurant is very nice. Even though it was a weekday I noticed adequate staff and everyone was very courteous and kind. We ate very well with mostly local food and generous portions. The bill was honest.

05/02/2024: Dinner as a couple for the first time in this place. I love wine and had high expectations especially reading the reviews. Very nice and welcoming place. Non-paper menu which I don't like, because I like to be recommended and browse the paper; but I understand the choice now in vogue in many places. I'm the only one drinking and I ask if there is the possibility of a glass instead of a whole bottle. The waiter confirms that it is possible. I ask for the possibility of a glass of barricaded red wine and from the waiter's look I recognize the embarrassment of someone who doesn't really know what he has asked for. He tells me he's asking and he'll let me know. In the meantime we order the food part. But I can already sense that it won't be a great evening for wine. Instead of letting me know, the same waiter brings me a glass of wine, and, without telling me what it contained (type of wine, vintage, production area, etc.), places it at the table and leaves. I taste it alone and, without any surprise, I agree that it is a banal red table wine. Obviously not barricaded. Dinner slips away without jolts and without that fundamental assistance in places where wine reigns supreme. Assisting and pampering even unknown customers always pays off. Not doing so annoys the guest who leaves and never returns.

19/12/2023: We had a wonderful dinner! Nice setting, good wine, all dishes were delicious. The place is well-known for the burgers and sushi but I highly recommend to try other traditional plates too! We had burrata, fresh pasta, squid and tiramisu with 2 glasses of “vino de la casa” total 70€. Grazie Mille!
