08/03/2026: Nice place, just a little poorly maintained, but like many places here in Sicily. It's a shame. You can't blame the people alone; it's always the one in charge. You can't do everything from the bar.

10/01/2026: Disappointing. The cod's batter was extremely salty, and the swordfish was very dry. We ordered a side of "insalata verde," which turned out to be a bowl full of iceberg lettuce (luckily we were able to send it back). The penne bronte was decent, but lacked flavor. The total bill came to €72.50 for barely eating anything.

05/01/2026: The biggest plus is the atmosphere and decor. The appetizers are very good. The pasta was a bit too heavy for me, and I've had better carbonaras. The recommended wine was very good. Perhaps it would have been more atmospheric with dimmer lighting. We had a waiter who was probably just learning, but the others were very nice and helpful. Maybe one minus: the less-than-polite remark about how to eat cannoli (not everyone can or wants to bite them, for example, after dental work, where it's more convenient to share them). I felt like I'd committed a cardinal sin. You can point out something, give someone a small tip, but this wasn't a very pleasant remark.

04/01/2026: A very special place in the center of Palermo. Delicious food, impeccable service, and perhaps a bit of a wait, but it's perfectly acceptable on a Sunday lunch. We'll be back!!

08/02/2026: Fabbro Bar and Restaurant is truly beautiful. The restaurant and service are elegant, but you can also stop for a coffee or breakfast. We ate lunch inside, although there's also outdoor seating. My pasta with tuna and zucchini was truly delicious and delicate. I also had the amazing zucchini flowers and fried calamari. Everything was delicious.

14/03/2026: Very nice place, family atmosphere. The menu is very varied and offers typical dishes from Palermo and Sicily. Everything we tried was delicious, the service was quick, and the prices were reasonable. The owner was very kind. Highly recommended!

08/03/2026: Had a lovely birthday meal here - a beautiful upscale setting, a service concept attentive to international guests, a comprehensive Sicily-focused wine list with something for every budget, including a good by-the-glass selection, the Caponata was gorgeous, the Pasta con le Sarde had a beautiful depth though a bit burned when being finished in the oven. A good choice for a special meal.

29/10/2025: Oct 2025 Probably among the best, if not the best, pizza I've ever eaten. Very high-quality ingredients. The place is welcoming, and the decor creates a pleasant atmosphere. The service was quite quick, perhaps because it was a weekday and there were few people.

09/11/2025: Palermo's Shelby Pub is undoubtedly one of my favorite places in the city. Located at Via Roma 330, it's run with love and passion by a family who has created a welcoming and familiar atmosphere, perfect for anyone looking to enjoy a relaxing yet special evening. When it comes to beers, Shelby never disappoints. My absolute favorite is the Apollo IPA. It's a beer like no other, with a full, well-balanced flavor, citrusy and slightly resinous notes. Every sip is a pleasure, and for IPA lovers, it's an experience not to be missed. Another aspect that makes this pub unique is the possibility of finding Guinness on tap, a true rarity in Palermo. There's nothing better than enjoying a perfectly poured pint in such a welcoming atmosphere. And speaking of hospitality, I can't help but mention Clara, who with her kindness and professionalism always manages to make everyone feel at home. It's truly rare to find such attentive and warm service. And then there's Oreo, the pub cat, a loving presence that makes the atmosphere even more special. It's impossible not to grow fond of him! In short, Shelby is much more than just a pub: it's a place where every detail is taken care of to offer an unforgettable experience, where the quality of the beers pairs perfectly with a welcome that makes you feel part of a big family. Returning yesterday, I was pleasantly surprised to find Brewdog Punk IPA on tap. This beer, a West Coast IPA, is an explosion of flavors thanks to its intense hops and rebellious malts. Furthermore, right across the street from the pub, the "Palazzo Liberty Unique Hotel" has just opened. This hotel offers a luxurious experience in an Art Nouveau building, with an elegant combination of modern furnishings and historic details. Its central location between the Teatro Massimo and the Teatro Politeama makes it ideal for both business and leisure stays.
