Besides the excellent quality of the fish, the staff is super friendly; I will continue to recommend it to everyone.

During our tour of Trinacria we always found kind and helpful people, when in Palermo (4 days) under our B&B we met Diego and his wife we had confirmation that, as the title of the review says, certain things are in your blood, you can't invent them... A sincere thank you for the good food, the information, the availability and the friendliness of this couple and to the entire staff of the Ristobar. A welcoming and authentic atmosphere, truly delicious pizza, and reasonable prices. The place was packed, with many people waiting: a sign that they really know their craft. A simple yet high-quality place, where you can breathe in the authentic Palermo atmosphere.
07/10/2025: We celebrated (half) my son's birthday at this place, at his recommendation, as he had been there before.
After spending €150 for two appetizers, six pizzas, and six cans of drinks, we weren't allowed to open the bottle of non-alcoholic sparkling wine I had brought with me. So we celebrated his birthday at home, even bringing the cake back with us, something that had never happened at other places in the city.

24/11/2025: We were at this restaurant a couple of years ago and had wonderful memories.
We returned and the experience was terrible.
We ordered an appetizer, three pasta dishes—one plain with oil and one with clams—and three pork shanks.
The three pork shanks were badly cooked, the meat dry and unpalatable.
The pasta was bland.
We left practically everything.
In the end, we had lunch with pieces of bread and oil.
150 euros...never again!
Not so much for the price (although a 12-euro plate of pasta with oil is a joke), because the food and the work must be respected, but also the customers.

Excellent food, excellent service, a warm and welcoming place, excellent value for money.
4 appetizers, 4 pizzas, 4 desserts, a bottle of water and a bottle of beer for €69.
Food quality average to high.
We will definitely be back.
01/01/2026: A real disappointment for New Year's Eve dinner, the meager dishes were almost rationed out for each guest at the table. While the appetizers and first courses were acceptable (nothing typical or local, most likely from a discount), the second course was almost nonexistent, and the dessert was cream with a tiny piece of colored sponge cake—"you could call it sweet...mà." For the toast, a taste of sparkling wine and panettone crumbs. Definitely not to be repeated.
