20/12/2025: My wife ordered the Acquario spaghetti, which she didn't quite like, and she left almost the entire plate. The dish was removed from the bill, with the management's apologies, and was fairly and honestly dismissed. The other dishes were very good. We'll definitely be back to try the sushi, perhaps.

14/12/2025: It was a horrible experience. We ordered two dishes, a water, and a cocktail. These two dishes arrived half an hour late! They weren't very hot either; the one with the meat had two pieces and wasn't even good. The other one, with the couscous, was better. The bathroom was dirty, the service was terrible; when these two dishes arrived, the cutlery was still missing, and the water and cocktail never arrived! And then we had to report it at checkout because they also charged us for the drinks, which never arrived. Overall, it's a shame because it could be a good idea to eat African food, but the quality and service were nonexistent. So don't go there; it's a waste of money, and we paid dearly for it. A total disappointment.

14/12/2025: Food. & a service : Excellent, 10/10 Value for money: Average, 6/10, €25 for one person is definitely on the pricey side for a standard African dish which I have had for less than 10€ in other restaurants. Nice music.

14/03/2026: On our first day in Palermo, the manager of the B&B where we're staying recommended this trattoria, located in a quiet, off-the-beaten-path area and frequented by locals. The advice proved spot-on. The place is charming and the staff welcoming. They serve typical Sicilian dishes (the pasta with sardines and fennel is sublime), well-prepared and made with top-quality ingredients. The price is absolutely right.

01/03/2026: We had dinner at La Tavernaccia and were truly satisfied. It's a typical Sicilian restaurant with an authentic, family-friendly atmosphere, serving home-cooked dishes cooked with great flavor and attention to tradition. We had excellent fried fish, crispy and fresh, and delicious sardine meatballs in tomato sauce, flavorful and perfectly prepared. Each dish was rich in flavor and made with quality ingredients. Even the starters served to other tables were truly inviting and plentiful, so much so that they made us want to come back for more next time! The service was excellent, attentive and friendly, always available without being intrusive. The value for money is excellent, absolutely in line with the quality offered. Highly recommended restaurant: I would happily return!

22/02/2026: Palermo's go-to pastry shop for those seeking well-executed, modern cakes and desserts. I often order cakes for special occasions, and they've never disappointed: balanced creams, meticulous textures, and always clean flavors, without overly sweetness. The classic setteveli and pistachio ones are especially excellent, beautifully layered and light despite the richness of the ingredients, as are the creamy and well-balanced cheesecakes. The mini pastries also maintain the same high level of quality, with a good variety and attention to detail. The quality of the ingredients and meticulous craftsmanship are evident, especially in the custom-made cakes, which are always aesthetically pleasing. A reliable place for a large dessert or a tray-service, with consistent quality. Prices are in keeping with the quality of the pastry shop. One of the city's most reliable choices for cakes and small pastries.

01/02/2026: Pastry shop in via G.Sciuti in Palermo where you can taste various and multiple specialties of traditional Palermo pastry. The crescents with melon jelly are excellent, but also the Carnival chiacchiere filled with various creams and much much more. Today, San Giuseppe, a traditional Palermo tradition wants you to eat the Sfince di San Giuseppe. Very good. Excellent and fast service, pastry shop full of people. Votes 10

02/11/2025: Stayed at a near by all inclusive hotel. Without getting transport to closest tourist places, Cefalu or Palmero, there is nothing outside of the hotel complex. 2 weeks ago there was a Ferrari car tribute event so had a walk out along the road to watch AND stumbled on this GREAT LITTLE CAFE. Having already eaten, Just stopped for a coffee (and beer🫣😂). Looks to be run by a family, with a great selection of authentic food and drink. Also very reasonably priced. A good break from an all inclusive hotel, experiencing more culture. Very polite and welcoming. English isn't great so like a game of sharards but that was the authenticity we liked of true Sicily 😃. Overheard others who had a meal saying how nice the food was. Even if it's only a walk out of the hotel and a drnykike us, support this great independent

29/10/2025: Oct 2025 Probably among the best, if not the best, pizza I've ever eaten. Very high-quality ingredients. The place is welcoming, and the decor creates a pleasant atmosphere. The service was quite quick, perhaps because it was a weekday and there were few people.

10/01/2026: Disappointing. The cod's batter was extremely salty, and the swordfish was very dry. We ordered a side of "insalata verde," which turned out to be a bowl full of iceberg lettuce (luckily we were able to send it back). The penne bronte was decent, but lacked flavor. The total bill came to €72.50 for barely eating anything.

05/01/2026: The biggest plus is the atmosphere and decor. The appetizers are very good. The pasta was a bit too heavy for me, and I've had better carbonaras. The recommended wine was very good. Perhaps it would have been more atmospheric with dimmer lighting. We had a waiter who was probably just learning, but the others were very nice and helpful. Maybe one minus: the less-than-polite remark about how to eat cannoli (not everyone can or wants to bite them, for example, after dental work, where it's more convenient to share them). I felt like I'd committed a cardinal sin. You can point out something, give someone a small tip, but this wasn't a very pleasant remark.

14/03/2026: We were recommended by our host to come here. The food was very fresh. My black pasta were a bit so so to my taste but the fish was delicious!.

13/03/2026: Both plates tasted so good. Truly deserved a 5 star! No wonder there was a queue even all nearby restaurants are empty.
