14/06/2026: We were there for lunch yesterday. The food (fresh salads and pasta alla Norma) was excellent. The service was also superb – the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The ambiance under the trees with a sea view is fantastic!

05/08/2026: The best seafood in the area. Michelin-starred chef Gaetano offers a menu with an excellent selection of seafood and sophisticated pairings. The wait staff is attentive and readily available. The wine list is also excellent. The friendliness and attentiveness few can offer, and the food is top-notch (great attention is paid to children, too). Highly recommended.

08/07/2026: We went as a couple for lunch on Sunday, July 5th. We were disappointed with one of the two appetizers, the swordfish caponata, because we found only five diced fish (not exactly five, but five) and then only eggplant. The seafood appetizer was solompolpo (only octopus) and three mussels. We were also disappointed with one of the two first courses, spaghetti alla tarantina, which was overcooked and not accompanied by the mussel sauce and drowned in a soup broth to the point that it seemed like a different recipe because there was no trace of olive oil or creaming. This was above the quality of the ingredients. We were also disappointed not to be able to order the risotto alla marinara (which you no longer cook because it caused you problems in the past, but what problems can a reduced menu cause) or spaghetti with clams, which are must-have dishes at a seafood trattoria. Spaghetti and clams, however, arrived for another table who ordered after us. They probably need to be reserved in advance (so it's better to specify this when ordering), or did you catch them in the meantime?

08/08/2026: For now, I can only comment on the pizza and dessert, both excellently made, with quality ingredients and beautifully arranged. The service is quite fast and professional; I was very impressed by the maître d', very attentive, punctual, and knowledgeable: he understood our tastes and gave us excellent advice. Kudos to him and his staff. The restaurant has its own charm, which I really like, and is well-equipped to meet a variety of needs. The quality-price ratio is average; I'll add that, compared to other similar restaurants I frequent in Northern Italy, it's quite affordable, but we know that location makes all the difference. We'll be back to try the restaurant's dishes.

05/06/2026: Far from the tourist crowds, Pepe Nero offers truly traditional cuisine, serving up recipes passed down from grandmothers to grandmothers. Here, they know that home cooking relies on simple, high-quality ingredients. Slow food at its finest! They stand by their choices, both in their suppliers (the fishermen of the bay) and in their pursuit of flavor. They champion pasta with anchovies rather than sardines, and they explain why. For caponata, they readily share the secret to perfectly balanced celery flavor. The welcome is just like the food: friendly and discerning. A little restaurant well worth the detour!

03/06/2026: Excellent restaurant! The dishes and food are exquisite. The service is quick and friendly. They have different seating areas, and the waitresses are very attractive. The prices are reasonable, and the atmosphere is lovely. Highly recommended.

17/06/2026: Food cooked just to throw something on the stove, slow service would be an exaggerated compliment, and the daily menu is super classic, lacking any creative flair from the chef. As for the chef, who is also the owner, he is incredibly rude and arrogant, and in my opinion incapable of running a business given his lack of professionalism in dealing with customers, even making serious accusations that I won't go into here... much better than a simple bread and panelle bought on the street! Totally disapproved.
