Bakery bar in the center of Palermo. Excellent breakfast and delicious desserts. The coffee cake is spectacular: soft and tasty. Both the cake slices and pastries are generous. Attentive and friendly staff. Nice atmosphere with outdoor seating.

Quality and hospitality, art and knowledge, kudos to those who limit their production to quality, not quantity and over-the-top offerings. Be careful! This is not a tourist trap. Only for gourmets.

Maison Bocum is a former cocktail bar that recently reinvented itself as a small bakery, with excellent results. At Bocum, you can find excellent bread (made with ancient grains), sweet dishes like cinnamon rolls, and a selection of savory pies, pizza, and sfincione. They also make freshly prepared express dishes; I tried their French toast and it was truly delicious. Overall, the quality is high, and the staff is extremely kind and always available. I recommend it to anyone looking for a good breakfast, a break with an excellent coffee, or simply to try their farm-to-table bread.
