11/06/2025: In my opinion the best pastry shop in Palermo...we have been customers of Mr. Di Maio for 30 years now...in addition to the passion and professionalism also the high quality of the products made with very fresh raw materials, the custard of the cakes is something that cannot be described. 02/09/2025: Last night I stopped by this wonderful location to try their pizza and street food appetizers! What can I say?! Everything was delicious, fresh and the portions were pretty big. The quality of the food was outstanding, I’ll definitely be back again!

07/06/2025: Regular customer in the past, last night a big disappointment. Uramaki that crumbled when picked up with chopsticks, mushy rice, salmon carpaccio full of vinegar strong to the point of nausea, dishes that did not arrive and that had to be hurried. Lobster Uramaki usually very good, microscopic with rather questionable seasoning. Only one waiter at times under stress, only one Sushiman. I arrive in the bathroom, lights off, I go in to do a small business, defective handle that almost left me locked. Too bad.

16/08/2025: We both got carbonara which was nice (slightly cold and very saucy with no bread to soak it up- but I understand the nature of the dish). Our issue was the one waiter, he was on his phone the whole time while people were coming in and he barely said one or two words and wasn’t very welcoming.

14/09/2025: A very good restaurant. The pizzas are excellent, especially since they offer a gluten-free version, which is a real treat. The service was efficient and pleasant. The setting is nice and cozy. The only downside is that you can't order wine by the glass. But it wasn't essential 😜

30/07/2025: Nel cuore del Piccolo centro montano di San Mauro Castelverde si trova questo delizioso ristorante, che sembra un salotto d'epoca per la sua raffinatezza. I piatti sono squisiti e abbondanti, il servizio celere e cortese, i prezzi ottimi. Consigliatissimo.

09/09/2025: Very inviting and tasty dishes, reflecting true Sicilian identity: we ordered three spaghetti alla marinara and a salmon farfalle; fresh, high-quality grilled vegetables; very fair prices for a centrally located osteria in Palermo. The staff were very welcoming, kind, and helpful; we didn't have to wait long for our dishes, and everyone was friendly. The location is very convenient, just steps from the Palazzo dei Normanni; the only downside is that the tables outside on the veranda are exposed to street traffic, which can be annoying. Overall, an excellent experience. Recommended.

27/08/2025: Perfect for a refreshing break near the Palais Normand. We didn't eat there, just had a drink. The staff is friendly. The terrace is shaded at lunchtime, and fans provide some fresh air.

08/07/2025: I discovered ice cream in a brioche there and it's really great. I think it's here that I tasted the best strawberry sorbet of my life.

07/07/2025: To say that the ice cream is good is really an understatement… Here at Cicciuzzu I ate the best ice cream of my life! The “Sapori di Sicilia” flavor is something exceptional, an explosion of authentic aromas and flavors that I will never forget. Congratulations indeed!

04/09/2025: Spectacular to say the least. We went after dinner at 11:00 pm and the service, despite the hour, was impeccable.

02/09/2025: An institution in Isola. Food, drinks, aperitifs, gelato, desserts... everything from fast food to traditional fare. Normal prices and friendly staff, a regular summer stop for years without disappointment. Edit: after a year, the price and service have not changed. Long live the Maxim Bar!!!!

25/07/2025: We stopped by for dinner a week ago, flying over from Palermo airport. It's a lovely, quaint, and quiet place. I've never had such good panelle, and the pizza was also very popular. The fish was also very good, with generous portions! They even offered a delicious local liqueur at the end of the meal! We had such a great time that we came back! The staff was friendly and helpful!

08/07/2025: locale si arriva tramite un viale ,parcheggio esterno esso è elegante interni rustici ,pavimenti in cotto, mura in pietra ,ed esterni noi abbiamo cenato all' esterno sul prato curato ed intimo (un po' di musica di sottofondo non sarebbe stata male..) il cameriere gentile e simpatico , la titolare sorridente e con modi gentili ci ha proposto dei fuori menu' che abbiamo trovato allettante abbiamo preso antipasti caldi buoni e non unti, 3 piatti di pasta di pesce e 2 pizze piatti abbondanti e ricchi . tempi d'attesa nella norma conto giusto da tornarci e provare altro
