A great Italian street atmosphere: loud music, singing, and crowds of people in the dark corners of the Old Town. A bazaar during the day and a food court in the evening. Delicious food in an interesting setting. A bit too noisy for families with children. Recommended.

In the heart of the historic Vucciria market, this osteria offers a typically Palermo-style menu and a casual atmosphere reminiscent of traditional taverns. The service is friendly and approachable. We sampled a Palermitan appetizer (panelle, croquettes, sfincione, and arancini), a breaded roast with baked potatoes, and roasted calamari with salad: simple dishes of average quality. Unfortunately, the excessive crowding negatively impacted the overall experience, which was overall decent but not memorable.
