14/06/2025: Se il buongiorno si vede dal mattino… non ero mai stato in Umbria e ho avuto la grande fortuna di trovare un posto come questo, dove la gentilezza la qualità dei prodotti e l’accoglienza di sicuro non sono mancati… Colazione strepitosa con torte fatte in casa… e tanta cortesia… ho letto recensioni che si lamentano della strada! Non riesco a capirlo, abitando in Piemonte per noi le strade così sono uno standard… ringrazio lo staff per l’ospitalità e non vedo l’ora di ritornarci… Grazie davvero ce ne vorrebbero tanti di ristoranti così…🧡🧡🧡🧡

16/07/2025: A small café for locals near the town walls. Delicious pizza, made with fresh local ingredients. The service is also exceptionally friendly. A place worth returning to. The prices are very reasonable.

29/07/2025: Terrible! Testone has never been synonymous with quality, but in recent years it has deteriorated dramatically. Today I had the classic torta al testo with herbs and sausages. The cake, served with a small, thin napkin, was already greasy when it was served. Since there were no napkins at the table (nor plates or cutlery), it was inevitable that a mess would happen. But that was the least of it. The cake had just been reheated and was soggy that the slice couldn't stand up on its own, whereas it should be crispy or at least drier on the surface. Inedible. The sausages (which have always been of poor quality) are first boiled and then grilled just to give them their characteristic color, rather than grilled. Today's didn't even have the color of grilled meat; they were simply sad, boiled sausages. So imagine a soggy torta al testo with boiled sausages, full of tough parts, a sign of poor-quality meat. The grilled potatoes are made with the same technique: boiled potatoes, halved, and quickly grilled just to get them black. The potato salad (which is nothing more than potatoes, onion, and parsley) was served cold from the fridge and completely unseasoned. The food is better in the hospital. And then hygiene... well, just look at the jars of salt on the tables. I've attached a photo. It's the second time I've had such a bad experience, and I'll put a stop to it. If you're looking for a quick lunch featuring Umbrian peasant cuisine, this isn't the right place: peasant cuisine doesn't mean shoddy. The big head in Città di Castello, on the other hand, seems to exploit a connection between the two concepts in order to justify the extremely low quality of the raw materials and preparation. The chain's commercial slogan says "eat genuine," and there's absolutely nothing genuine here, not even the prices.

01/06/2025: Really loved it here on my recent trip. A small cone is enough! You can get two flavours..!. I've tried mango, melon, dark chocolate and pistachio..all divine and very friendly staff!

18/07/2025: The hotel is slightly dated but functional. The pool is excellent, and the jacuzzi was a lifesaver on a hot, sultry day. The breakfast was excellent. 👍

08/04/2025: Siempre disfrutamos comiendo aquí! Después de vivir en una pequeña ciudad rural en Italia durante algunos años, nos perdemos la variedad de cocina que una gran ciudad puede ofrecer. Es el único restaurante asiático alrededor, a menos que vayas a Perugia, la ciudad más cercana a 40 minutos. Mi esposo ahora es vegano y estoy libre de gluten, así que encontrar un lugar para comer puede ser un desafío! Siempre tenemos el rollito vegetariano vegano (aguacate y pepino) y la yasai gyoza (un ravioli verde vegetariano tonto tenue). Uno de nuestros favoritos es el spaghetti riso! Siempre pedimos a la carta, ya que tienen un menú extenso, a un precio muy razonable, personal super atento y restaurante y baños impecablemente limpios. Tratamos de comer aquí cada pocas semanas, ya que vivimos en un pueblo adyacente, también pedimos comida para llevar. Muy recomendable! . 👏👍🤗

08/04/2025: Great for vegans! We always enjoy eating here! After living in a small rural town in Italy for some years, we miss the variety of cuisine a big city can offer. Its the only Asian eatery around, unless you go to Perugia, the nearest city 40 mins away. My husband is now vegan and I'm gluten free, so finding a place to eat can be challenging! We always have the vegan vegetariano roll (avocado and cucumber) and yasai gyoza (a veg green ravioli dim sum dumplings). A particular favourite of ours is the spaghetti riso! We always order al la carte as they have an extensive menu, very reasonably priced, super attentive staff and spotlessly clean restaurant and bathrooms. We try and eat here every few weeks, as we live in an adjacent town, we also order take out. Highly recommended!. 👏👍🤗

09/07/2025: ★☆☆☆☆ – A hostel that calling itself “basic” is a compliment. Avoid it. We stayed at the Little Italy Hostel for one night, but it felt like being grounded. We paid 70 euros for a double room… and honestly, I wouldn't go back even if it cost 20. The room was tiny, maybe 3 meters by 3 meters, with furniture thrown together haphazardly: chairs that looked like they were taken from the garbage, a rickety fan from a flea market, and furniture bolted to the wall with brackets. Some weren't even bolted on, so rickety that if you touch them, they fall on you. The beds? Bunk beds, like in a barracks in the 1940s. The bathroom? Shared. And beware: no towels, no soap, no nothing. Not even the basic amenities for washing. If only there had been a mosquito net... but instead: windows open, mosquitoes inside, and no air conditioning. For €70, we expected the bare minimum. Instead, there was no respect for even the basics. A makeshift, neglected place that seems to have been built with recycled materials and managed without any care. A real disappointment. We felt cheated. Never again. P.S. For anyone who doubts this review, my Google Maps history confirms beyond any doubt that we stayed there. Before accusing guests, it would be better to check the actual condition of the rooms. The dates are in the photos and on Google Maps.

06/07/2025: We stayed only one night, clean rooms and good service! We will return soon to visit Perugia more calmly and we will definitely stay here! Super central location!

26/07/2025: Disappointing. At €100 per person (excluding alcohol), there was no room for error — yet several dishes fell short of expectations. The tuna and salmon sushi and nigiri were good, but the fish-to-rice ratio felt unbalanced, with too much fish. Some pieces even had seaweed coming loose. The fatty tuna sashimi was excellent, but the medium-fatty tuna was stringy and lacked finesse. The Wagyu nigiri was especially underwhelming — the meat was bland and offered none of the rich flavor one would expect. The waitress described the fruit sashimi dessert as a mix of exotic fruits like mango, passion fruit, and kiwi. In reality, there wasn’t a single exotic fruit on the plate — just apples, melon, strawberries, watermelon and plums. The free appetisers were really good. We waited a lot between each sushi plate. The decor resembled that of a hotel restaurant — polished, but lacking authenticity or atmosphere. All in all, we expected much more for such a steep price.

07/07/2025: The best restaurant in Perugia! Incredible food prepared fresh by a talented team of chefs. I have had the pleasure of dinning here many times so I have tried almost everything on the menu. Chef Marco is always innovating with new recipes so I still have some new items to try! His dishes are works of art and he takes great care of every plate that leaves the kitchen. The people who are apart of the restaurant treat every customer with care. I have had so many amazing nights at Il Vizio because of the kinds of the staff. My favourite dishes that I would recommend are: • The Chirashi Bowl • Roasted Miso Eggplant • Chu Toro Nigiri • Teriyaki Tuna Tataki • The White Chocolate Namelaka with Mangos and Matcha. 14/08/2025: Disinterested service, mediocre dishes, and even a simple children's pasta dish that's served as spicy, and they don't seem to mind when we point it out. Faded glory. We'll go to the neighbor's.
