But when, in a restaurant, a chef comes out to tell you that your tastes, your way of life, and your preferences are weird just because you like potatoes or don’t eat meat or fish, and that you’re somehow not “normal” — it doesn’t just feel uncomfortable. You actually start wondering how you ended up in a place where you can’t simply be who you are. We live in a time when individuality is valued and empathy is supposed to matter, and yet you find yourself in a situation like this and can’t quite believe what you’re hearing. 01/04/2026: TOURIST TRAP! Please, be aware what you are walking into. This restaurant wants to do everything to get the bill up. Don't get me wrong the food is pretty oke, but.. pasta's for 20 euros, pushing for extra sides, "water menu" and appetizers. And even then, you can say this can all be part of a Nicer restaurant. Getting the bill. Glasses of wine for 18,50(had no idea), side dish(no idea it was a side dish) and then to top it off coperta. Which usually happens for cheaper pleases where people order a water and then enjoy the view.. This place is a fake. Don't go here, don't listen to what chatgpt tells you😂

17/04/2026: My 13-year-old review needed updating to say that things have improved after all this time. A varied and imaginative menu that doesn't neglect Tuscan tradition. High-quality products, expertly and skillfully cooked, tasty yet delicate. Elisa is a thoughtful and kind hostess, as well as a first-rate chef. A well-stocked wine cellar and delicious desserts. Excellent value for money.

05/05/2026: My boyfriend and I were there a few days ago and were really, really happy. The pici were incredibly fresh and the wild boar ragù was amazing. The guy who served us is very charismatic and talented, and he's passionate about explaining the cuisine and history of Poliziano. We also had an appetizer of crostini with pecorino and lard, which was delicious. I also wanted to try their tiramisu with biscotti, but unfortunately I was full 😂 Definitely worth returning!!

06/05/2026: We came in for lunch and were a little hesitant because the entrance seemed quite touristy, but once inside, the place turned out to be truly welcoming and high-quality. There's a truly remarkable selection of wines to taste and purchase, and the service is quality and pleasant. The food was excellent, and the prices were reasonable for the type of place. We'll definitely be back.

04/05/2026: The first time we came in 2017, it was just a wine bar, but they did offer us a fantastic tasting menu with some cured meats. Today we returned, and to our surprise, the premises have been expanded, meticulously maintained, with many small rooms waiting to be explored. They've added a kitchen and the dishes are truly excellent. The wine list...infinite!!! Must try!

13/06/2026: We had a beautiful experience at this restaurant for our 10 year wedding anniversary with 12 of our closest friends. Virginia was an absolute dream to work with before we even left the USA, while helping me set the menu and they even went above and beyond to open early for us to accommodate our parties timing. The Tartare was so incredibly fabulous and a highlight for me. The group loved the lamb. And we really enjoyed the wine she chose for us. When I think Michelin, I think beyond just amazing food. The presentation, the experience and the "above and beyond" matters as well. They knocked it out of the park. 💛

Various first courses were excellent, the pasta was homemade. For our second course, we had fried chicken with zucchini flowers. It was truly excellent, crispy and well-fried. My husband had a sliced ​​steak. That was also excellent. And to finish, three desserts: the bonet and the deconstructed cannoli, truly sublime. House wine and water were also included.
