17/08/2025: The steak is a fiele mignon, the best part of the tenderloin, and I recommend it in truffle butter. Bistecca ala fiorentina—several types of beef with skin and fat—I don't recommend it.

01/09/2025: What can I say except Fantastic....we ate very well, fantastic dishes especially the tortelli with assobuco, Florentine steak with butter, very kind and well-prepared staff, fast service and then the superlative bitters....when I return to Siena it will be my sure stop....thanks

16/06/2025: Posti come questo sono quelli che mi fanno amare la Toscana. Nel bel mezzo delle campagne senesi si trova questa oasi di relax, a pieno contatto con la natura e gli animali. Io ci sono stato solo per cena, ma le premesse sono ottime anche per passarci qualche giorno in più. In una calda serata primaverile mi sono goduto una gustosa cena nel loro splendido giardino in un'atmosfera rilassante. Il menù lo comunicano il giorno stesso, io ho comunque optato per la fiorentina che si è rivelata da dieci. Ho provato anche un piccolo antipasto con crostini misti molto saporiti anche questi. Da sottolineare anche la birra e il vino di autoproduzione. Sono stato davvero bene e se dovessi ripassare in zona sicuramente ci farò un pensiero.

The crostini with chicken livers, pici all'aglione, and tozzetti with vin santo are exquisite! All topped off with the extraordinary kindness and attentiveness of the owner!! 25/08/2025: The atmosphere was peaceful, and we were greeted warmly at a late hour without a reservation. This was very much appreciated, as we'd been turned down at many other places. I came here on the recommendation of the pasta, and we ordered ragu, cheeses, and wine. Everything was delicious. I came here on the recommendation and would return. The cheese board is best ordered for 4-6 people, and the pasta was very good value for money. They charge 2.5 per person per cover. A good place to come.

16/09/2025: What was supposed to be a romantic evening with my husband on our first night in Siena during our honeymoon turned out to be a major disappointment at Vivace Ristorante. We had made a reservation for 7:30, specifically hoping for a table on the terrace with a beautiful view overlooking Siena. Instead, we were seated at a less-than-ideal table, and the staff made no effort to offer a warm welcome. From the very beginning, the atmosphere felt uninviting. The service was extremely slow. It took over an hour and a half for our food to arrive, and when it finally did, the dishes were mediocre at best. Honestly, my grandmother’s recipes back home are far better. To make matters worse, the head waiter was shockingly rude—not only to us but also to his own staff. Having worked in food service for over 10 years, I could clearly see how poorly he treated the servers, and it was uncomfortable to watch. The only kindness we received that evening was from the younger staff, who tried to make up for his behavior. One moment that really stood out was when my husband tried asking a simple question about the area. Mid-sentence, the head waiter interrupted him, walked away, and never returned to finish the conversation. It was dismissive and incredibly disrespectful. On top of everything, one of the first things we ordered was bottled water. It never came, yet we were still charged for it. When we tried to get the head waiter’s attention to address it, he blatantly ignored us, making us feel like an inconvenience rather than valued guests. If you are American—or really any tourist—avoid this place. It feels like a tourist trap with overpriced, average food and unfriendly service. Siena has many wonderful restaurants with genuine hospitality—unfortunately, Vivace is not one of them. :-(

16/09/2025: The service here is terrible. We booked a reservation and were given the worst located table at the restaurant. The wait staff treated us as a chore and were very unorganized. We consistently saw food that the staff did not know where to run it to. The food was mediocre and took about 1.5 hours to serve a pasta dish. If you are American avoid this place, they simply do not care.

16/09/2025: A very good shop. Very friendly and helpful staff. Delicious sandwiches with Tuscan delicacies. For me, the porchetta is the best.
