Very good ice cream at a fair price!

Excellent ice cream, outdoor seating to enjoy in the summer climates and strategic logistics practically next to the Chiantigiana frequented by motorcyclists or even by car for those who do not want to do the "palio" Florence-Siena; as well as ample parking

I'm celiac and yesterday I drove several kilometers specifically to eat gelato here, after seeing that this gelato shop is listed online as part of the AIC (Italian Celiac Association) food-out network. However, when I asked if they had any gluten-free items, the clerk replied that the gelato is all gluten-free but EVERYTHING is contaminated by the passage of the cones (including the yogurt toppings), and that "anyway, no one ever notices the contamination." She then explained that the shop has stopped keeping "protected" tubs of gelato in the back since the change of management. I would like to point out to the new management: 1) the clerk's response, which is unacceptable even from a HACCP perspective; 2) I find ceasing to provide such a basic service as keeping "protected" tubs in the back a huge step backwards; it would be wonderful and inclusive to adopt this strategy again.

Delicious lime and basil ice cream

One of the best I have visited in Tuscany. Whilst it might not have the charm of cobbled streets and a view, the ice cream is worth visiting for.

One of those places that's not easy to find, as it's off the beaten tourist track in Castellina. But the short detour of about 500 meters is well worth it! A wide selection, good quality (and consistently high for a long time), and very friendly staff. Not quite 5 stars because there's even better ice cream available, although not right nearby. And if there were a restroom and a coffee shop, that would be a definite plus.

i had the cafe flavor and it was just out of this world. I might go back tomorrow for it again. it was a rainy day but there were many customers here ready for a delicious treat. a must try on your italian journeys.
