02/08/2026: We were allowed to eat without a reservation. As a result, we sat inside on the top floor. Not as enjoyable, we have to admit. The location is very beautiful and picturesque. Stunning. I would recommend sitting outside, though; I think the service is just a bit more adequate there.

13/08/2026: Highly recommended! A place where quality truly shines. Excellent sandwiches, made with excellent cured meats and top-quality ingredients. And when I say sandwich, I really mean SANDWICH: large, rich, and incredibly satisfying! 😍 The cheese board also deserves a special mention, with a selection of truly excellent cheeses, perfect for a tasting accompanied by quality products. The staff is incredibly kind, helpful, and very friendly, making the experience even more enjoyable. In short, quality, quantity, courtesy, and flavor: highly recommended and definitely worth a try!

01/05/2026: A proper Sienese osteria, no compromises. The chickpea flatbread with robiola cream was a great start — simple, well-executed. Pici all’aglione e briciole was the highlight: thick handmade pasta, bold garlic sauce, just the right texture. If you’re feeling adventurous, go for the fried brain — a classic offal dish done with confidence. Genuine Tuscan cooking at honest prices. Book ahead, it fills up fast.

12/08/2026: I went because I'd heard great things about the saffron risotto in San Gimignano. I ordered the vegetable and cheese tart as a starter, and surprisingly, it was good! When the main course arrived, I found something completely different from what I understand a risotto to be. There's a basic principle for a risotto: it should be "all'onda," meaning it should make waves. My hopes were dashed. It wasn't creamy, and I couldn't taste the butter; it was more like rice with bits and pieces. 37 euros for a quart of white wine, bread, the tart, and a rice dish. This is constructive criticism, not destructive; there's room for improvement. I've been in the restaurant business for 26 years. If, by chance, they wanted me to make a risotto, I wouldn't have any problem with that.

07/08/2026: Il Rigoletto is a small corner in the heart of San Gimignano that preserves a traditional soul along with its intimate and welcoming nature. Unfortunately, I don't have photos of many dishes on the menu, but a must-try is the "Pici al Rigoletto" (pictured in the second photo), a signature dish. The main courses, especially the meat, are also highly recommended. The service is excellent and very attentive. The choice to post notes and comments from each guest on the walls is also lovely, making the place incredibly charming.

12/04/2026: Fantastic place, unpretentious and welcoming. It's not very large but still seats quite a few people, and given the speed of service, I'd say that's not a problem. The table settings are rustic and themed. The food, however, amazed us. We focused on the restaurant's signature dish, the goose (prosciutto, leg, breast, in every way), and it completely met our expectations. Nothing to overwhelm your taste buds; the pairings are simple for local dishes, but they work very well and are executed perfectly, with obsessive attention to ingredients and cooking. The olive oil and wine were so good that we had to struggle to get back to the car without a bottle. They also offer tasting menus for those who want to try the entire offering. With two glasses of red wine (Sangiovese Purneia and Cabernet), two covers, two appetizers, two goose main courses, a side dish, a bittersweet liqueur, and a sweet liqueur, I'd say €50 per person is more than in line with the Siena fare, especially considering the quality ingredients and the friendly, attentive service. The menu offers many dishes at lower prices and for different tastes, including off-menu options. In short, there's something for everyone! We'll definitely try more when we return! Great!

05/04/2026: We went today, April 5th, for Easter lunch. I chose this restaurant because it inspired me and the reviews were excellent. Truly, everything was perfect. The atmosphere was very beautiful, rustic. Reclaimed wood tables were truly cool. The food was top-notch. My partner and I had two soups: one with beans and tripe, and one with beans, chard, and nettles. Delicious. For our main course, two Chianina roast beefs with grilled vegetables. The meat was top-notch. To finish, the Vin Santo tiramisu with crumbled cantuccini... An addictive dessert... Divine. Two glasses of wine (excellent), water, and two coffees. Total €90. Money well spent, especially since the service was impeccable. It was worth it to ride a motorbike through the Chianti countryside for a few kilometers. I think we'll do it again soon. Well done.

The food arrived fairly quickly, considering the grilling takes place in real time near the restaurant. In the meantime, you can enjoy the scenery. Fair prices and excellent value.

04/08/2026: The pici were very good, regardless of the seasonings. The only slight drawback was that the portion size might have been a little too small for someone with a large appetite. I recommend them.
