05/05/2026: We're in Piazza di Provenzano. The place is spacious but rather dark. The pizza is good, although the pasta could be improved with a wider selection.

02/05/2026: In a very central location (not "near the center" as some have written, but in Piazza Provenzano, within the walls of the historic center, a 200-meter walk from Piazza del Campo!) yet still quiet, with a lovely outdoor terrace overlooking the square, it makes excellent wood-fired pizzas with a light, easily digestible dough, plus ciaccini and more, all made with quality ingredients. Friendly and friendly staff. Fair prices.

06/05/2026: I would give this 10 stars if I could! Just had the best stay. Perfect three days! Beautiful property! The decor is on point, charming and whimsical. The food among the best we ate in Italy. The staff set a new high bar for customer service even before we arrived and throughout our visit. It felt like saying goodbye to family when we left. Concierge Michelle helped us to plan outstanding dinners, Paola at the front desk enthusiastically welcomed us and provided great service throughout. Faith at the pool was a bright, warm host. And the evening bartender was not only expert in mixology - asking our preferred flavor profiles before suggesting drink variations- but also in Siena history. Great ambassadors of La Certosa, Siena, and Italy one and all!

21/04/2026: I won’t be able to do this hotel justice with just this review but here we go. The moment we arrived at Certosa Di Maggiano everything was perfect, the attention to detail with every inch of the hotel is perfection, the staff are attentive but not pushy, they make you feel welcomed and like family. We need to give a special shout out to the sommelier Riccardo, Lou on the front desk and the Albanian waiter whose name escapes me. Every member of the team were amazing but these three really made our stay great. The rooms, outdoor spaces, the food, the drinks and the vibes in this hotel are perfect. It’s such a romantic space and it never felt overcrowded or busy. It was just the right level of intimate. We came away from here knowing that we will be back again. It’s a special place.

01/05/2026: In Siena for a few days, looking for a pizzeria in the Vico Alto area, I stumbled upon this one. A welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff, and efficient service. Part of the dining room overlooks a veranda that will definitely be open in the summer. I haven't tried the food, just the pizzeria, and I must say the pizzas are excellent, with a light dough and excellent toppings. The fried foods are delicious, and the dessert we ordered (millefoglie) was also delicious. See you next time Elio

19/04/2026: Very welcoming place, friendly, helpful staff, and above all, very fast. The cuisine and dishes are absolutely second to none: very good meat, exquisite fried foods, light and crispy! A special mention for the truly exceptional pizzas!

06/05/2026: We came in for lunch and were a little hesitant because the entrance seemed quite touristy, but once inside, the place turned out to be truly welcoming and high-quality. There's a truly remarkable selection of wines to taste and purchase, and the service is quality and pleasant. The food was excellent, and the prices were reasonable for the type of place. We'll definitely be back.

04/05/2026: The first time we came in 2017, it was just a wine bar, but they did offer us a fantastic tasting menu with some cured meats. Today we returned, and to our surprise, the premises have been expanded, meticulously maintained, with many small rooms waiting to be explored. They've added a kitchen and the dishes are truly excellent. The wine list...infinite!!! Must try!

13/04/2026: Very friendly staff. Wide selection of pastries, both small and pastries. The only thing missing were croissants and breakfast pastries, but I think that was fair given it was late Sunday afternoon. We were more than satisfied. Truly excellent.

03/05/2026: Excellent menu and beautiful location However, this kind of treatment is unacceptable. After more than 40 minutes, we were informed that the ravioli we ordered were unavailable. The most embarrassing reaction was the waiter's: when we said, "We ordered them more than half an hour ago," he shrugged, didn't even apologize, and waited for us to order something else. PS: A table next to us received the same ravioli (they had arrived and ordered after us). PS Part 2: Sometimes, an apology and a little bit of caring can make an unpleasant situation easier; ignoring it certainly doesn't help. :)

02/05/2026: An unforgettable afternoon at Osteria Le Panzanelle in Lucarelli, Siena. From the moment I arrived, everything felt just right a warm hospitality, impeccable cleanliness, and a calm, welcoming atmosphere. The food was nothing short of divine. I started with the Parpardelle with deer sause followed by the sweetbreads, perfectly prepared and delicately balanced, that was rich, refined, and beautifully presented. Every dish reflected precision and passion, and the service matched it effortlessly attentive, professional, yet genuinely warm. A well-deserved Michelin recognition for 2026. Experiences like this remind you why Tuscany remains one of the great culinary destinations in the world. Thank you for such a lovely afternoon.

Pici all’aglione e briciole was the highlight: thick handmade pasta, bold garlic sauce, just the right texture. If you’re feeling adventurous, go for the fried brain — a classic offal dish done with confidence. Genuine Tuscan cooking at honest prices. Book ahead, it fills up fast.

16/03/2026: On Saturday, March 14, 2026, I found myself celebrating my birthday alone for the first time in my life. After careful research, I decided, despite the fact that I dislike and have difficulty being alone, to book a table at this restaurant, hoping to at least treat myself to a pleasant moment. However, I never imagined that this experience would soon become, quite literally, a true gift. Starting with the location, enchanting and private enough to put, even if only for that brief moment, a brake on the incessant pace of the serious lives and thoughts of everyone present at the table. Moving on to Claudio, the kind, courteous, and honest facilitator of this unforgettable journey, who, from the moment I arrived, as he does with every guest, put me at ease, giving me the feeling of having known him forever but, above all, of having finally arrived in a safe space protected by him. Concluding with the dishes I had the privilege of listening to, observing, and tasting. I remember each of these distinct yet interconnected experiences being so enchanting that the further I went, the more difficult it was to express in words my pleasure and amazement, prompting me to simply and magically enjoy everything that was happening to me. I won't go into further detail; I'll attach a few photos of this enchanting journey, and I thank Claudio and the entire staff once again for this unforgettable gift, which wasn't just a birthday present, but also, and most importantly, a life gift.
