The place is welcoming and full of energy, with a fun atmosphere and good music.
The crostoni are simply wonderful, and the pici all'aglione are dreamy: authentic Tuscan flavor in every bite!
Friendly staff, fast and attentive service, perfect for a relaxing stop after a stroll around the city.

03/06/2026: Rude and impolite place. We came at 13.30 when only 1 other table was occupied and wanted to sit down for drinks, but we were just kicked out with a "No, is lunchtime, no!". Could've just rationally calculated his chances of selling the table for lunch or told us in a polite way. Seems they don't need nor like customers.

06/04/2026: I had an amazing experience at Il Salotto! The ambiance is warm and inviting, perfect for a relaxed lunch. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making me feel right at home. The food was absolutely delicious and fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Every dish I tried was a delight, and the desserts were heavenly. Definitely one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. I can’t wait to come back and try more of their menu! Highly recommend!

14/05/2026: A truly lovely, modest, and very clean place. Excellent value for money, off the beaten track. Perfect for those who want more for less. Here, San Gimignano can be beautiful even in peak season. Francesca is a wonderful host.

Not only is the pizza excellent, but so are the two (?) owners.
Many thanks for the pizza, the beer recommendations, and the short, pleasant conversations. We'll definitely be back!
21/11/2025: This place is AMAZING!!!!!!!! The owners were simply delightful and so generous. We went in and ordered a pizza just for me and my boyfriend. We were greeted with such hospitality. They gave us additional stuffed flat breads just because they were worried we would be hungry. What a delightful experience. The pizza and the flatbreads were to DIE FOR!!!! Must try

05/05/2026: We're in Piazza di Provenzano. The place is spacious but rather dark. The pizza is good, although the pasta could be improved with a wider selection.
02/05/2026: In a very central location (not "near the center" as some have written, but in Piazza Provenzano, within the walls of the historic center, a 200-meter walk from Piazza del Campo!) yet still quiet, with a lovely outdoor terrace overlooking the square, it makes excellent wood-fired pizzas with a light, easily digestible dough, plus ciaccini and more, all made with quality ingredients.
Friendly and friendly staff.
Fair prices.

01/01/2026: I found this restaurant thanks to the reviews, which confirmed my expectations... it was a holiday for everyone. We arrived without a reservation because we were just passing through, and were greeted kindly and professionally by a young man, ARMAAN, whose knowledge of the meat was astonishing, and of excellent quality. The place is very welcoming. The restaurant offers ample parking. Fair price. Recommended.

10/05/2026: We went to visit friends who were on vacation nearby at this restaurant. I'm from the Val di Non in Trentino, but Tuscany is a paradise for me. The host welcomed us with a smile, and the attentive and attentive waiters made you feel at home. Their invaluable advice on what to choose was invaluable. The appetizer, first course, second course, wine, and coffee were all delicious, and the value for money was truly exceptional. We'll definitely be back. Congratulations!

21/05/2026: Went to this busy and Google 4.6 rated restaurant and was disappointed. Had an outside booth which was ok but away from the sight of the waiters. The risotto was very good. The lasagna was ordinary. The osso bucco was ordinary and the beef was a little tough. The olive oil for bread did not come for ages.
21/05/2026: Wow! Our food was so good. The truffle gnocchi was delicious. The steak was cooked perfectly. Our server was nice and attentive. All around a good experience!
