18/01/2026: Excellent food, all homemade. Dumplings as soft as clouds, quality cured meats and cheeses. Friendly and fast staff.

23/12/2025: The cold cuts and crostini weren't bad, but they weren't anything special either. We ordered an off-menu entree recommended by the waitress, but we were disappointed by the final price. Of course, we hadn't explicitly asked for the price of the dish either, but a little rounding up in favor of the customer on the bill was appropriate. The atmosphere was nice and warm.

13/12/2025: We had lunch at this restaurant on the way home from a trip. It's impossible not to appreciate the food: ingredients of undisputed quality, dishes cooked to perfection. The ambiance only adds to the pleasure of the food, and the prices are fair. The real asset of this restaurant, however, is Tiziano, the soul of the restaurant. It's hard to find someone so professional, fun, and friendly, the epitome of Tuscan style.

08/12/2025: Pici with Chianina ragù and peposo are two highly recommended dishes. The waiter, Tiziano, was very courteous and attentive, even to the needs of two celiacs.

01/03/2026: A delicious gluten-free restaurant in the heart of Siena. We had beef tartare (gluten-free) as an appetizer to share and pici carbonara (also gluten-free). For dessert, the cheesecake by the glass was also delicious. The staff was super friendly, attentive, and available to meet all our needs. Highly recommended.

25/02/2026: Always a pleasure to come to il ghibellino when i visit Siena. The staff is so kind and the options for celiacs are amazing. Fresh gluten free bread, amazing pasta and malfatti, and the dessert list was so long with tons of fresh things to choose from. I ended up getting the malfatti burro e salvia with the cheesecake basca for dessert… all incredible. Once again, thank you for an amazing meal and we will see each other the next time im back!

28/02/2026: Takeout pizzeria, good variety of flavors. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Average prices. Quick delivery. There are four tables inside for dine-in. It's not a pizzeria/restaurant with a dining room.

22/03/2026: Saturday lunch before an afternoon in Siena. The young, friendly, helpful, and welcoming staff were excellent. Delicious food, top-notch prosecco and house-made amaro/limoncello. Mixed crostini as an appetizer, each one better than the last, and the pici...mmmmmm...phenomenal.

17/03/2026: Al Tocco was recommended to us by the owner of the Podere where we stayed, and I'd say she gave us excellent advice. Excellent welcome, very courteous and knowledgeable staff. We ordered and shared (between the two of us) a plate of 5 excellent crostoni and a truly excellent Fiorentina steak, cooked to perfection and the meat so tender! We also shared a dessert that was really good, and we were offered a very pleasant Tuscan liqueur. What can I say: a positive experience, and nothing to complain about the price, since if you order a Fiorentina steak, you already know what you're getting.

05/02/2026: I regularly return to this restaurant, which boasts a softly lit atmosphere, with decidedly welcoming furnishings and details. The tone of conversation, even at the surrounding tables, is always calm and in keeping with the ambience. The wine list is extensive and offers unique culinary offerings alongside the classics. The white chocolate mousse is superb.

01/01/2026: Located at the entrance to the village of Pienza, the atmosphere is extremely relaxed and informal, yet very welcoming. The cuisine is excellent, with dishes and ingredients that begin with tradition and then evolve. The wine selection is extensive, and Davide makes excellent recommendations. We had a wonderful evening tasting and drinking so many delicious things: thank you so much!

12/02/2026: This place is a lovely discovery. Typical Tuscan. Very informal. Very friendly owners. And what can I say about the food? I tried a fantastic carbonara and a fabulous Cinta Senese steak. On our last night here, we had a fantastic sandwich. If I ever return to the area, it's the first place I'll return to. Excellent value.

16/03/2026: On Saturday, March 14, 2026, I found myself celebrating my birthday alone for the first time in my life. After careful research, I decided, despite the fact that I dislike and have difficulty being alone, to book a table at this restaurant, hoping to at least treat myself to a pleasant moment. However, I never imagined that this experience would soon become, quite literally, a true gift. Starting with the location, enchanting and private enough to put, even if only for that brief moment, a brake on the incessant pace of the serious lives and thoughts of everyone present at the table. Moving on to Claudio, the kind, courteous, and honest facilitator of this unforgettable journey, who, from the moment I arrived, as he does with every guest, put me at ease, giving me the feeling of having known him forever but, above all, of having finally arrived in a safe space protected by him. Concluding with the dishes I had the privilege of listening to, observing, and tasting. I remember each of these distinct yet interconnected experiences being so enchanting that the further I went, the more difficult it was to express in words my pleasure and amazement, prompting me to simply and magically enjoy everything that was happening to me. I won't go into further detail; I'll attach a few photos of this enchanting journey, and I thank Claudio and the entire staff once again for this unforgettable gift, which wasn't just a birthday present, but also, and most importantly, a life gift.

12/11/2025: I highly recommend it. Francesca is lovely and always attentive. The breakfast is generous and delicious, with many fresh, homemade products. She gives us great tips for sightseeing. The location is ideal, a 5-minute walk from San Geminiano. It's clean, tastefully decorated, and peaceful.

I stopped by to ask if I could take some photos, and she kindly said yes. She was incredibly welcoming and sweet. Even though I didn’t stay at Francesca’s place, her warmth and generosity made me feel truly welcome. From the moment we connected, she extended kindness that went far beyond expectation. Whether it was her thoughtful gestures, helpful advice, or simply the way she made me feel included, I’m deeply grateful. It’s rare to meet someone who opens their heart so freely. Her hospitality wasn’t about a room or a roof—it was about making someone feel seen, valued, and cared for. That’s a gift, and I won’t forget it. Thank you, Francesca, for being the kind of person who turns ordinary moments into lasting memories. You’ve shown that true hospitality. I look forward to seeing you again when I return to Italy. 28/11/2025: After a very tiring journey, we just wanted a quick pizza that evening. We found this little pizzeria and were completely won over. Not only is the pizza excellent, but so are the two (?) owners. Many thanks for the pizza, the beer recommendations, and the short, pleasant conversations. We'll definitely be back!

21/11/2025: This place is AMAZING!!!!!!!! The owners were simply delightful and so generous. We went in and ordered a pizza just for me and my boyfriend. We were greeted with such hospitality. They gave us additional stuffed flat breads just because they were worried we would be hungry. What a delightful experience. The pizza and the flatbreads were to DIE FOR!!!! Must try

01/01/2026: I found this restaurant thanks to the reviews, which confirmed my expectations... it was a holiday for everyone. We arrived without a reservation because we were just passing through, and were greeted kindly and professionally by a young man, ARMAAN, whose knowledge of the meat was astonishing, and of excellent quality. The place is very welcoming. The restaurant offers ample parking. Fair price. Recommended.
