18/06/2025: Brilliant restaurant away from the bustle of the central city. Very kind hospitality, warm smiles & great recommendations across the food and wine. Highly recommend the duck and potato, soft, sweet & overall delicious. Recommend booking to avoid disappointment. The restaurant accepts bookings on the phone & online - I placed a card as a holder. Will definitely return!

10/06/2025: One of my favorite restaurants in Florence, second only to one. The atmosphere is warm and full of character, with a refined yet relaxed charm. The food is delicious and thoughtfully prepared. A lovely spot for a slow, enjoyable evening.

29/06/2025: I've tried a few wine bars in the Centro area and, rather than always falling back on the same ones, one evening in late June we wanted to test NDV. After six years in Florence I can award this place the prize of "Worst combination of cutting board and schiacciata I've ever tried". A hair-raising quality/price ratio: Cutting board with three slices of prosciutto crudo, three of salami, two croutons, two pickles (in number!) and two wedges of pecorino, together with two glasses of the worst preserved Morellino in central Italy and a small bottle of water, €42. But let's also say that the view of Santa Croce can justify the price, let's move on to discuss the quality: Pieces of inedible schiacciata: cut no less than 24 hours before, probably they had watched the final of the costume football tournament 4 days before because I can swear I've never encountered such a stale schiacciata. The rancid yellow fat hadn't even been removed from the ham and the wine was just about to boil, feeling it warm on the palate when it's 36 degrees outside at 9pm makes me think it was preserved in a pizza oven, too bad because they had put the schiacciata in the same position for the 15 minutes it took to prepare the aperitif, probably they would have tried to recover it in a corner kick. A special mention to the pecorino and crostini because they had their reason to be. The only Notes heard at the end of the experience were those of the reggaeton blasted at full volume from the JBL placed at the entrance. Last but not least: one of the employees smoking outside but looking out the kitchen window. Chapeau.

04/06/2025: Bad experience at this wine bar! The boards are excessively expensive considering the quantity offered. Very hard bread stored on the street in the sun. The wine glasses are all scratched. No wine bottle card. Unfriendly server.

The food was absolutely delicious, especially the seafood, which was incredibly fresh and full of flavor. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for great food and warm, genuine hospitality. 02/07/2025: Sensational! Incredibly delicious food, from the appetizers to the Bistecca Fiorentina to the dessert. Our waiter, Christian, as well as all the other members of the team, were super friendly and extremely accommodating, and all our requests were fulfilled at lightning speed. A definite recommendation.

10/06/2025: This was a great wine bar to go to on a warm day. The decent price includes a wine pairing with your set meal. My husband had the truffle meal and I tried the lighter vegetable option. The wines paired were deep and crisp.

27/05/2025: The food was delicious, but the truffles were shaved very thinly, not as thick as the sample, and the price was a bit expensive.

27/06/2025: Below expectation Alert. The mapo tofu tasted sour, could be spoiled potentially due to the extremely high temperature (96F outdoors today). Spinach was ok, a fly crush-landed in the dish midcourse so we didn’t finish it. Beef fried rice was lovely. Xiaolongbao, could be better. Pork’s feet, ok. The soup though— I ordered small for 1 person thinking a cup size and they brought me a bath tub that would take 5 serious soup-lovers committed to some degree of endeavor. I would honestly recommend the restaurant next door.

25/06/2025: It's super delicious. Taiwanese people who love heavy flavors must come here. Come for three days and eat for four days.
