The food is truly impeccable and of excellent quality, a shame about the service where the waiters were insistent and unprofessional at the end of the shift. We were not told of the imminent closing time of the kitchen upon our arrival and all the dishes were hastily brought out together, furthermore the waiter's insistence on making us order was not very welcome. It was unprofessional to see waiters at the end of their shift changing to go dancing and cleaning the tables with chemical products while customers were finishing their dinner.

Best steak ever. They aren't kidding!

Impeccable service and very friendly staff. We ordered a first course and a Florentine steak with a side of potatoes. We left with full bellies and satisfied. All very good and the practicality was the Florentine which is brought on a griddle so that for those who don't like meat too rare you can cook the meat to ideal doneness. Highly recommended.

Excellent food for carnivores. We also saw shellfish on the menu... a team of dynamic waiters accompanies tourists from many countries to the tables. Excellent wines, quiet atmosphere in the early evening hours, then the place fills up with meat lovers and it's difficult to find a seat.

Cena serale dopo visita alla città. Mangiato piatti tipici cucina toscana (crostini ribollita e tortelli al sugo alla chiantigiana) tutto molto buono. Cameriera gentilissima e disponibile per spiegare i piatti e attenta al servizio davvero perfetto.

One odd thing that we noticed about this restaurant - there are two of them, or at least 2 parts. One is on a corner. Across the street and down a couple of storefronts is...the same restaurant. I'm not sure why, or if there is a difference. Unless there is a secret tunnel, they aren't connected. We ate at the part slightly further from the front of the train station. We decided to eat here partly as our hotel gave us a coupon for 10% off dining here. Plus, it was within about a block of the hotel and it had been raining earlier, so a short walk was preferred. They had a sign as you entered that announced 'the top 100 steakhouses in the world.' It was not clear to me if they were claiming to be on the list...? I'm not saying they shouldn't be, it just wasn't clear. We were seated promptly. The diners seemed to be a mix of Asian tourist couples and some upscale locals (at least the ones sitting near us). We were seated near the window at the end of the long dining room (far from the open kitchen), which was okay. However, then no one came back. No drink orders, nothing. We waited a few minutes until it became uncomfortable. Had I been solo dining, I'd probably have just left at that point. My dinner companions were hungrier and wanted to stay. I was about to get up to search for a waiter when someone finally came by. They got our drink orders (we just had still water). The guy brought that and took our order. Then it seemed like a slightly long-ish wait for the food. I'm not sure what was going on - they didn't appear short staffed. I wasn’t planning on wine anyway, but from what I could tell from the menu, they only sell it by the bottle. Our food arrived, followed by the complimentary bread (which I'd have expected to come out first). We all ordered pasta, as we weren't sure whether we could finish a steak. The Tuscan region seemed really big on steaks, from our limited experience. The pasta was quite good, though. Everyone enjoyed it. I cannot recall if we got or split salads as well. My stuffed shells had a lot of cheese and were tasty. My daughter got a pasta with wild boar sauce dish that she used to get at a local place before they discontinued the dish. She enjoyed hers too. We didn't have to wait overly long to pay the bill. As we left, there were a couple of large marble stairs down to the sidewalk. They were slippery from the earlier rain and my daughter slipped on one. Luckily she wasn't hurt, but be aware of this if it is raining when you visit.

proposta interessante. ma non è una trattoria, nemmeno un po'. la carta dei vini è roba di lusso e non c'è una proposta di rossi al calice degna di una trattoria. per una semplice fiorentina andrei in altri posti
