This establishment takes advantage of tourists adding servizio and charging extra for a “full” glass of wine that wasn’t requested. And the food was subpar to our experiences over the years visiting Florence. Not recommended.

We were excited to eat here as we had watched people rave about this restaurant on TikTok. We had a reservation and as we walked in, were greeted with frowns. We were a group of four and were seated at a table where my mother (82) was seated in an actual doorway. There was a normal table for four nearby (and left empty the entire time we were there). From the time we were seated to the time we left was 45 minutes. Three of us ordered the tagliatelle Florentine ragu. Unpopular opinion but it tasted to me like chef boyardee. My daughter got the truffle gnocchi. While it was good, it was not great. We did not think this was worth the hype.

Visited Feb ‘24 : A superb family dinner and completely blown away by the Florentine steak. In my mind it would be too rare but this was perfect just as it was meant to be. Great atmosphere, friendly staff and busy with upstairs seating and cosy, intimate, cellar seating downstairs. Visited again June ‘26 : good atmosphere, less enthused by the food this time. Decent but far less blown away by the steak. Buratta and tomato salad was too basic.

We were referred to this restaurant by our hotel concierge and made a reservation. There were a few different seating area spots and we were brought downstairs to the cellar which was nice and cool, a good break from the heatwave. It’s also where the one washroom is. We ordered a pasta to share (the pici with smoked bacon and cherry tomatoes) and the Florentine steak with “crispy potatoes”. The pasta noodles kind of reminded me of udon noodles rather than other pasta we’ve had so far, and the sauce was delicious. They split it into 2 bowls for us, yay! Enjoyed it overall. The steak dish was huge. We appreciated that they asked if we wanted a smaller portion (probably since we got pasta), but we went with the 1.3kg. The steak was great, the meat was really soft and I barely had to chew sometimes! The potatoes were more chewy than crispy which was a little disappointing, and the beans were okay. The service was good, I liked that the servers were pretty lighthearted and bantered with guests and each other. When we said we didn’t want dessert the mood sort of shifted? They do a table charge of 4€ per person, but the part that didn’t sit right with me is the additional 10% “service charge” that we didn’t get at any other restaurant in Florence. Note that it’s stated at the bottom of the menu but it seems a lot of people miss it. Regardless, it made the meal more expensive and I don’t think the level of the food (though it was good) matched the price, especially after that extra charge. Also weird they had Amex stickers and stuff everywhere, including the bill envelope, but don’t take it, not a big deal since it’s not widely accepted in Italy but strange.

We made a last-minute reservation for Saturday night dinner, and everything was excellent. We arrived around 10:00 PM with an 8:00 PM reservation. The atmosphere was lovely; we were in a small room near the entrance with air conditioning (essential with the 40°C heat in Florence). Perhaps they could leave a little more space between the tables. The pici all'aglione were spectacular, and the veal steak was also very good. The appetizer (zucchini and eggplant carpaccio with smoked scamorza) was delicious. The service was friendly, attentive, and helpful. Prices were in line with the city (so a little expensive, but that's acceptable for the quality of the dinner). Highly recommended!

I went for dinner on Friday, June 25th. We had a reservation; otherwise, you might not find a table. The trattoria has a curious space, especially because of the decor. The atmosphere is pleasant, and the service is attentive, although they do influence you a bit on what to eat and drink. We ordered a dish of Pici all'aglione pasta with pecorino, smoked pancetta, and cherry tomatoes, which was really good—al dente and with a rich but not overpowering flavor. For the main course, we had meat. Perhaps because we're used to Spanish beef, I found it overrated. It seemed less red than expected, maybe whiter than I'd anticipated. For dessert, we had a cheesecake that seemed mass-produced rather than homemade, even though they assured me it was. To drink, we had two glasses of Chianti Classico and two glasses of Chianti Reserva. The total came to €147 for two people. The price includes the €3 cover charge per person, like all restaurants in Florence, and a €15 service charge. I think the price is excessive.

This place feels authentic , food is pretty nice. A friend and I shared the stake plate was yummy and a bottle of wine. We thought all was nice until we were scammed. We were offered sweets but we said no kindly. The waiter brought over cheese cake. This was yum but we did not order it as we were full. Then he bought shots that we could not drink. Anyways we were happy we thought maybe these people are kind but nothing is free. We were charged for it all. I should have said something in the moment but I was so in shock. This service is not ok. Imagine I was unable to pay this due to being a 20 year old traveler. Anyways nice food but this ruined that experience

A truly memorable experience in the heart of Florence. We were welcomed into a refined and elegant setting, where the attention to detail immediately created a very pleasant atmosphere. The quality of the meat was exceptional, cooked to perfection and served impeccably. We particularly appreciated the charcuterie board, presented in a rustic and authentic way on a wooden board, which was the perfect start to the meal. Everything, from appetizer to dessert, reflected a great passion for the ingredients and tradition. We will definitely be back to discover the rest of the menu.

One of our favorite meals in Italy! Be sure to book a reservation in the wine cellar, the atmosphere down there is so romantic. The food, the wine, & the dessert were all phenomenal!
