The service was great, but the food was meh.
We ordered TAGLIATELLE WITH FLORENTINE RAGU and VEAL OSSOBUCO NEW STYLE “ WITH VENUS RICE for lunch.
Ragu was okay, but a bit bland. Ossobuco was a different from the usual ossobuco. The ossobuco meat was soft, but bland. The food generally felt bland. Had to add a lot of parmesan.
Maybe the atmosphere and food for dinner is a lot better with wine. However, the lunch dishes were bland.

A vibrant and modern establishment that admittedly caters to tourists, the environs are eye-drawing and the service impeccable. The food here is exceptionally prepared and presented, with great taste to boot. The Pappardelle alla Ragu and the Braised Veal Cheek here were delicious, along with the Tiramisu and Chocolate Coulant. This is a top tier choice for an upscale dinner in the city.

One of the best in Florence!
We were seated downstairs - very romantic and charming atmosphere all around. Wonderful service from the most kind gentleman. The Fiorentina steak was outstanding (the restaurant was able to accommodate a portion for one), and gnocchi with truffle melted on the tongue. Great wine selection on top of it. Plus good value for money. Highly recommend.

Si direbbe una tipica trattoria fiorentina. Tradizione, porzioni abbondanti, menu tipico. Poi arrivano i piatti… ed è commozione: il tagliere è di livello, ma il crostino ai fegatini di pollo è sublime. Gli gnocchi allo zabaglione di parmigiano e tartufo nero sono un piatto straordinario, intelligente, equilibrato, creativo…. Imperdibile! Ma, in generale, in ogni piatto c’è una nota che da buono lo porta ad un livello assoluto. Se ad una cucina superiore si aggiunge un servizio pieno di simpatia, direi quasi affettuoso, ecco che si passa una serata indimenticabile. Grazie! Il rapporto qualità/prezzo, considerando l’esperienza, è ottimo. Lo consiglio vivamente.

When in Florence we always head for this restaurant , it has a most pleasant ambiance and the service is first class . We enjoyed as starters a mixed green salad and the mozzarella , then the veal chop with spinach … the latter cooked to perfection .

Splendida location in pieno centro a due passi dal ponte S.ta Trinita e da Palazzo Strozzi. Locale antico su due piani, tutto in legno e un interrato. Cucina toscana tipica, con le classiche tagliatelle al ragù toscano, al cinghiale e ai porcini. Bistecche alla fiorentina, agnello alla brace e fagioli cannellini all'olio come esempio di ottimi secondi e contorni. Davvero una trattoria toscana dove gustare il meglio delle specialità locali. Servizio ottimo, prezzi nella media, ambiente accogliente. Che volere di più?
