30/06/2025: We ate some excellent fish, the fried fish and seafood carbonara were delicious

29/06/2025: I was in this restaurant for lunch, what can I say, a cool environment, a beautiful terrace overlooking the Tuscan hills, a breezy terrace despite the 32 degrees. The food of other times, as well as the generous portions, tasty dishes and genuine fresh ingredients, we ate as an appetizer some delicious mussels, a linguine allo scoglio and a mixed fry with homemade mayonnaise. I had a beautiful relaxed lunch and I left more than satisfied!!! Attentive and friendly staff, they didn't miss a thing! I'll be back as soon as possible! Ps. I came from Sasso Marconi (Emilia Romagna) to eat the fish I had heard so much about from friends!

01/06/2025: Situation magnifique, avec vue sur Florence. Sommelier de très bon conseil … il m’a fait découvrir deux vins magnifiques. Pour ce qui est de la cuisine … nous sommes un peu mitigé ! 3-4 plats du menu 7 services était très bien, les autres manquaient d’assortiments dans les saveurs, et était trop salé à notre goût. Service irréprochable.

06/07/2025: Positive review. We stopped by chance and using Google. Maybe I had high expectations and I was a little disappointed not to have WOWed the mixed grill. However, the potato tortelli with ragù did not disappoint expectations. Typical dishes of the Tuscan tradition. The service is kind and helpful, even if it seems to appreciate a NON-TEETOTAL clientele more. ;)

06/07/2025: The restaurant is historic and a lot of experience is perceived both in the service, which was impeccable even though the place was full, and in their dishes, all excellent. In fact, the excellent quality of their products and the processing carried out to perfection stand out perfectly. From the appetizer, to the first courses, to the second courses, side dishes and desserts. Vast and illustrious selection of wines.

10/06/2025: We loved our food and wine. We had pasta, steak and roast baby pig. But service let them down significantly. We didn’t mind having to wait 10 mins for our pre booked table. But we felt very rushed in and out ASAP. We could only have been there 30 mins for 2 courses. Our bill was brought to our table without requesting it. I find this very unusual and gives the impression you are not welcome to linger and finish your wine. We were charged for water we didn’t have. I mentioned this. The waitress just said OK and shrugged.

Outdoors even in summer you are fine, fantastic tagliolini with rabbit ragù and always try the fried tomatoes. The steak is good, perhaps a little dry, in any case at €5 per 100 grams it is a difficult price to find today. The bill is fair, also considering the 3 sweet bitter coffees. In short, a guarantee.

21/06/2025: I have read several so-so reviews and personally I can't explain those who didn't appreciate the Florentine steak at this restaurant. Discovered several years ago on a business trip, I have returned several times even when I was on vacation with my family and had or "created" the opportunity to stop. So yesterday too. Disappointed? Absolutely not, for me it remains the best Florentine steak I have ever eaten, very tender and with a flavor that is just to be tried. Never once have I had to change my mind. Of course the restaurant is not one of those "posh" trendy or gourmet ones, but for those who pay attention to substance and not appearance, it is certainly characteristic and welcoming. Obviously it is always crowded, also considering its location a few steps from the Barberino del Mugello highway exit. Too bad for my wife who due to problems had to settle, so to speak, for a plate of exquisite rigatoni alla Cosimo. When I can I will try to go back to see if they will be able to disappoint us, but I have serious doubts!!!
