14/08/2025: A very small but truly unique place. Excellent, courteous and knowledgeable staff. Excellent platters and wines. We ordered a platter for five, two stuffed schiacciatas, and two bottles of wine. We spent about €22 each. Recommended.

14/08/2025: Very cute, rustic, and a bit small place. We ate divinely, and the desserts were also top-notch! The staff were very nice and friendly. I would definitely go back.

19/07/2025: The Locanda offers typical Lucchese dishes, so I recommend it to anyone traveling and stopping in Lucca. Just outside the walls of Lucca, you can easily access the city center by car. Parking is easy in front of the restaurant. I would also recommend it to locals, though. The dishes are very carefully prepared with fresh, delicious ingredients. I highly recommend it.

18/07/2025: Italian comfort food done right. The atmosphere is cozy and comfortable, the service the best I’ve had in Italy, and the food is outrageously good. And if you don’t get the torta della nonna, you aren’t doing it right.

16/07/2025: We were two people dining here, as clearly shown on the receipt (2 coffees, 2 glasses of wine, 2 main courses). However, we were unfairly charged 5x coperto (€12.50), instead of 2, as listed in the menu (€2.50 per person). This is misleading and feels like a deliberate attempt to overcharge tourists. The service was indifferent and impersonal — no smile, no warmth, just going through the motions. That said, the food itself was tasty and well-prepared. If the staff believe they can scam tourists once and never see them again, they are mistaken. We've been to Pistoia many times and we always come back — but experiences like this will influence our choices in the future.

25/06/2025: Our favorite place to eat good food in front of a good bottle. The cuisine is Tuscan, with typical dishes and seasonal menus. Everything very fresh, good choice of wines. Very kind and helpful service without affectation. I highly recommend it.

07/06/2025: In a beautiful village, the inn's furnishings are very simple and welcoming, the staff is courteous and professional, the food is good and genuine, you eat a piece of Tuscany. Highly recommended.

06/06/2025: Cute place with a vibrant little terrace and great food. We stopped here for lunch before visiting the monastery nearby. The staff is welcoming and friendly. But the food is why we will come again when we re-visit the area.

08/07/2025: A traditional trattoria with excellent dishes and good value. I tried it for lunch, ordering the pasta alla gricia, steamed cod, and a side of grilled vegetables. All excellent and highly recommended. Reservations are recommended.

07/07/2025: Rustic trattoria near the Roman bridge of Rieti, typical home cooking, menu with few options but all delicious! We ate a fabulous gricia and an excellent amatriciana. Simple but very nice place, with an outdoor terrace. The owner is super kind and friendly, also try the typical gentian bitter. Good value for money

02/08/2025: A very cute shop, even if it looks unassuming, you should try it. The best part is the incredibly friendly and helpful service. The artichoke cream and seitan are especially delicious!

19/07/2025: The restaurant is located in a beautiful, tiny, and charming village. Carmen, the owner, told us about the town's history, which is truly fascinating! The cuisine is an excellent blend of two cultures and two regions, Sicily and Tuscany. The dishes are simple yet refined, thoughtful, and carefully prepared. The recommended wines are also excellent! A real discovery!

04/08/2025: In the heart of the city, a seafood restaurant you wouldn't expect. The internal courtyard is very pretty and welcoming, the staff helpful and smiling. The food is stellar, homemade delicacies to die for. We'll be back to try the octopus burger, which piqued our curiosity! Highly recommended!

28/07/2025: Excellent restaurant. We dined in the outdoor area, which was truly lovely. Everything was excellent, from appetizers to main courses. The first courses are especially noteworthy. Be sure to check out the special of the day, which is usually excellent! Super fresh produce! Highly recommended!

17/03/2025: The staff has always been very kind. The food was simply excellent and of good quality. I give a few stars for the very ungenerous portions, at least as regards the side dishes. My daughters had asked for puree three times (because we are very happy to go back) and a measly mesolatina arrived.... I hope this criticism is constructive.
