This Osteria is located in Lucca's Piazza Anfiteatro. The food is delicious and flavorful, the service is fast, and the staff is very attentive. They speak Spanish, among other languages. We've eaten there two days in a row. Karen is wonderful, very kind, and helpful. Thank you, Karen.

Sitting at the outdoor tables, in the splendid setting of the Piazza dell'Anfiteatro, I watched the dishes arrive like miniature masterpieces: precise cooking, clean flavors, generous portions (finally, someone who isn't afraid of a fork!). In short: a cuisine that speaks clearly, a piazza that enchants, an osteria that convinces.

11/05/2026: Trattoria da Elena is one of my favorite places, nestled in the small village of Tereglio. It's reached via a very challenging road, but it's worth the trip. In my humble opinion, they make the best tordelli in the area. When I'm in the area for work, I always happily stop by.
28/04/2026: Fantastic! We ate ‘Al fresco’ outdoors in front of a midevil church. Authentic local fare- excellent home style cooking and menu. Wildly reasonable prices. Nestled in Tereglio, quaint village built along a mountain ridge. The walk through the village was like an outdoor museum. Friendly folks going about their daily business. Not touristy. Amazing views. Ask in ‘Da Elena’ for the key to see the photo exhibit of the of the village, beside the church.

Pizzeria Zio Jo

18/06/2026: I've never eaten a pizza like this in the last 50 years. The dough is paper-thin, yet you can pick up a corner without the middle collapsing. The use of wooden plates is also brilliant. Who hasn't experienced this problem: you want to cut the pizza, but it slides around on the porcelain plate. Thank you for everything.
