03/05/2026: We started with a truly exceptional mixed antipasto: delicate flan, Fassona beef tartare with top-quality truffles, and perfectly prepared veal with tuna sauce. The first courses confirmed the exceptionally high quality of the cuisine: creamy and flavorful Barolo risotto with Piedmontese toma cheese, fragrant porcini mushroom risotto, and simply delicious agnolotti del plin with the aroma of the Langhe. The extensive and carefully selected wine list is perfect for accompanying every course. Special praise goes to the staff and the owner, always attentive, courteous, and ready to offer the best possible advice. Generous portions and truly excellent value. We'll definitely be back!

02/05/2026: We've had the pleasure of discovering this restaurant at three very special times in our lives... and it's become a place dear to our hearts. The first time, we came as a couple, with me pregnant; then we returned with our newborn daughter; and finally, we chose this very place to celebrate her baptism. Each visit was a unique experience, yet always perfect. With a view of the Langhe that offers peace and beauty in every season, and an interior designed with meticulous attention to detail. Special praise goes to the staff: always kind, attentive, and sincere, capable of accompanying us with discretion and warmth on every occasion, making every moment even more special. And then the menu... a true treat. Carefully crafted and original dishes and quality ingredients. It's not just a restaurant, but a place that holds precious memories for us. We'll definitely be back!

11/05/2026: Terrible service, mediocre food. A very inexperienced server took our order. The wine was forgotten, and the bagna cauda on the pepperoni were scoops the size and consistency of ice cream. The foreign object (hard plastic or stone) found in the asparagus was ignored after our complaint, simply swept under the rug... Very cold payment and an unfriendly farewell. Never again Osteria Umberto!

03/05/2026: A beautiful restaurant in the city center, serving traditional dishes with a touch of sophistication. I had the butter and lavender plin, which were very fresh. The lavender flavor paired well without being too overpowering. The veal with tuna sauce was also delicious. The restaurant is well-maintained, and the waitresses are very kind and attentive.

05/05/2026: Best restaurant in Cuneo, impeccable service, and delicious cuisine. They offer vegetarian options, sushi, and poke, but what I find exceptional is the ramen: a unique flavor that's hard to find in the area. The only flaw about this restaurant is that I only discovered it last year!

18/05/2026: Stayed one night. Everything was perfect. Alessandro and Giulia are perfect hosts. Great room, great view, great food, great wine, great breakfast. Extremely good value for money. We will recommend to friends! Stayed one night with a toddler and a baby.

12/03/2026: We stopped here for lunch and were greeted warmly. We only wanted something light and the hostess smiled and said, "Absolutely, Aperitivo!" We looked over the menu and were invited to come to the counter to select the meat for our spiedini. The atmosphere is very casual, but this place offers some very serious steaks! Loved the decor and the service was exceptional.

07/03/2026: An extraordinary experience! We followed the good reviews and reserved a table via WhatsApp what was super easy. But as we came in off-season it wasn’t needed as we had the whole restaurant all for ourselves. The staff was super friendly and helpful! Menu was available printed without pictures or online with pictures. After a quick chat with the chef we decided to go for a princess cut, the salad with like 1.000.000 possibilities to create and potatoes. Getting the meat served was some of a kind and you have to experience it on yourself. One star less it is was somehow weird to go next door into another restaurant which was part of the group to pay. Still a great place!!

16/04/2026: We decided to eat here for a birthday. It was everyone's first time, but we had a really great time. The owner/waiter was super kind and friendly, and the place was quiet and spotless. The food was truly delicious. I highly recommend the Piedmontese classics, which are truly exquisite! We'll definitely be back!

09/05/2026: We have visited the restaurant only. We repeatedly had our Apperitivo there and we had dinner one time. The Appertivo and particularly the dinner was excellent, well cooked and more creative in composition of the dishes other than the culinaric mainstream of this region, that we met often and which becomes boaring after a few days...

25/05/2026: We have been visiting this restaurant at least 10 times a year for the past two years; a service charge or cover charge was never charged and was never listed on the menu. This was also the case in January, April, and on May 11, 2026. On May 16, 2026, the item "Servizio - 2 x €5" appeared on the bill prepared by the bartender for the first time. When I asked him what this was about, since it wasn't on the menu, he said that they had always charged it. This was completely untrue, and the bartender was certainly aware of this. On May 22, 2026, we were at Ape again. At the beginning, I specifically checked the menu again and told the bartender that this item wasn't on the menu and therefore he wasn't allowed to charge it. He said he would speak to the manager about it. In the end, we paid the manager, who handed us the bill without a word. It again listed "Servizio - 2 x €5." When I told him this, which I had already told the bartender, he explained that the other guests were paying it. I told him I didn't give a damn what other guests paid; that was no argument. Then he acted offended and said I was ill-mannered. Well, I was raised to treat people the way they treat me; however, I wasn't raised to lie to people and charge them unjustly. After this unpleasant incident, we won't be visiting this restaurant again, at least not as long as we encounter this manager there. It's a shame, because we've always been very satisfied otherwise, including with the other service staff. We also have no problem paying for servizio or coperto if it's listed on the menu.

25/05/2026: This place shattered the cliché that "restaurants overlooking tourist areas are bad." We ordered Black Angus beef and pliny. A Russian salad was served as an appetizer. It was good. Our food was perfectly cooked and tasted great. They also offered complimentary dessert with our coffee. We left very satisfied. Thank you. 😊
