28/07/2026: I can't understand why there are places where you go for a while and suddenly forget they exist. I came back here after an absence of I think twelve years, and if it was already good before, now they've really outdone themselves. The best dinner in recent years. Top-quality ingredients, superb fresh pasta, and an original menu (the wine list is also very extensive, I must say). Excellent value. Friendly service. Very nice location. Go there. Come back. And don't forget about this place like I did.

23/07/2026: Had a lovely meal in the garden. Very helpful and sweet service. Beautiful menu, choice of a set menu or à la carte. Nice, original dishes, including a starter of prawns with caramel and passion fruit. Fantastic. Other dishes were also really tasty. Beautiful wine list, with the Dogliani wines prominently featured, of course. Including, surprisingly, a Timorasso from Dogliani. How nice. Had a wonderful evening, thank you.

11/07/2026: We were in Dogliani to celebrate our friend's bachelor party and were looking for a nice place to have dinner together. By chance, we stumbled upon Locanda del Sorriso and decided to give it a try: it was a very pleasant discovery! The atmosphere is elegant and welcoming, perfect for a special evening. Fantastic dishes made with high-quality ingredients and authentic flavors. You can sense the attention to Piedmontese tradition, reinterpreted with great taste. The wine list is also excellent, full of local selections, perfectly paired with the dishes. Fantastic service, almost no wait between courses, and the waiter who served us was super kind, taking the time not only to explain the dishes and wines but also to share some interesting facts about the place. A restaurant definitely worth a visit and one I recommend to anyone passing through Dogliani.

12/04/2026: This is a great place where my wife, our basset hound, Otis, and I stopped for a midday aperitif. The outdoor seating is welcoming and the atmosphere is bohemian. We especially enjoyed the music selection, which ranged from Vinicio Capossela to Giuni Russo to Franco Battiato. It's excellent!

31/03/2026: The 3 stars are due to the fact that we booked through Smartbox, which indicated that two menus with appetizers, a first course, and a second course were included, and when we received the bill, we were charged a difference of 55 euros (the extras were supposedly for four glasses of wine and dessert). It would have been correct to know this when booking. Good food, however.

28/03/2026: Although the lunch was very good, I have to give it only 3 stars because we booked through a smartbox that indicated two menus with appetizers, a first course, and a second course were included. However, when we received the bill, we were asked for a €55 difference (we had four glasses of wine as an extra, so it seemed excessive). We would have liked to have been informed when we booked. Otherwise, we ate well, but I didn't appreciate the lack of transparency.

13/07/2026: We only went to the restaurant because nothing else was open on Monday. The service was extremely friendly, the value for money was excellent, the pizza was okay – I've had better and worse, but for €7 it was perfectly fine. The gnocchi were delicious. But the best thing was the dessert: a tiramisu the likes of which we hadn't had in years! We had one portion to share and absolutely HAD to order a second.

05/07/2026: We arrived and after 45 minutes of waiting and asking, in that half hour they took the liberty of serving six more tables, not all of which had reservations but simply because some were probably "locals." Not to mention the fact that it says baked pizzas on the outside, but the menu says pan-fried, and the prices are ridiculous, so if someone wanted a proper pizza, they either got the pan-fried one or something else they didn't come for. We ended up finishing our drinks because we were thirsty, which is completely unacceptable.

23/05/2026: Perfect! The managers, Segio and Lorena, are helpful, friendly, and pleasant. Our waitress, Vlé, was a gem! We had a wonderful stay. The rooms are charming and clean. The food is amazing: antipasti, meats, gnocchi, pizza!!!

30/06/2026: Despite the restaurant being full, we found the service very quick, the food delicious, and the wood-fired pizzas amazing. A wide selection of homemade pastries is available. The welcome was warm. Free parking available. An excellent place! 😋

28/06/2026: Location: 7. Beautiful place with a pool and breathtaking view. Shame about the parking and the driveway. The bathrooms need updating. Service: 6. Food: 4. Delicious pizza. I don't know about the cuisine. Too bad I was sick all evening and night with cramps. Limited selection of liqueurs and mulled white wine. Price: 6
