22/12/2025: We had no expectations, but they were far exceeded!! We tried the Fassona beef tartare, which was simply sublime... then the plin with butter and sage, the tajarin with ragù, the Barbaresco risotto, and the gnocchi with Fontal fondue... each one as good as the next. For the main courses, the sausage with polenta and the braised beef were a delight. We finished with the bunet and hazelnut cake for dessert, and they kindly offered us a selection of dry biscuits (so delicious!). We finished lunch with a good coffee and a wide selection of quality grappas!! In the kitchen, we spotted a woman in her 70s who we assumed was the mastermind behind those delicious dishes... how wonderful old-fashioned home cooking is!! Truly a highly recommended little place! Perhaps the only flaw is the prices... a little high in our opinion...

16/07/2026: My go-to place when I'm in the area is ALWAYS: - hot breakfasts with pistachio cream braids, cheese focaccias, Nutella croissants and plain rolls, pinwheels, mini pizzas...; - afternoon snacks with unique local gelato (I love the salted caramel), or with milkshakes or affogatos... I'd rather not talk about the apple pies; discover them for yourself...

21/06/2026: An experience not to be repeated: the food was generally good (though not if you're vegan, intolerant, or celiac, as they don't make anything specifically for you—they only package it from an external company). The one-star rating is primarily due to the service: when it came time to pay, we were charged for an unexpected item (the cakes on display were €4.50, with one cake unpriced, thus leading us to assume the price was the same as the other cakes, when in fact it was more expensive). When we politely pointed this out at the checkout, without even expecting to pay less, we were told in a huff that we could look up the price via the QR code menu. However, I think the approach is misleading and incorrect, and the cashier's attitude was also rude (she didn't even say hello when we left). So, in summary, if you're vegan or intolerant, avoid the place due to the limited selection and pay attention to the actual prices.

12/04/2025: This restaurant was a godsend for us: delicious food at fair prices and very friendly staff. The meat-filled agnolotti was accompanied by a full-bodied Dolcetto Dogliani from Poderi Luigi Einaudi. And then there was the wine selection... heavenly!

15/10/2025: A welcoming hotel, perfect for a business trip, but also ideal for tourists seeking out Alba's typical Piedmontese delicacies.
