05/04/2024: It was my first time in the Langhe and I wanted to book with you for dinner, since it was my parents' first time dining in a Michelin star restaurant. The room is very well lit and welcoming. My wife and my parents, I, order several courses. We take three appetizers and a first course, four second courses. To drink, since I hadn't found it in other wine shops and restaurants, I order 'Luciano Sandrone Aleste 2019 Barolo'. Wine of very fine and elegant structure. Special! Having also been a sommelier for more than ten years, I would have expected a small introduction of the chosen wine, and possible pairings from the Sommelier. The story because it is called 'AleSte' and no longer 'Cannubi Boschis'. The wine service has been one of the most unbalanced and mediocre since I began this career in catering. The sommelier seemed “off duty”. Not at Michelin star level. Especially uncoordinated. The second courses were good but not excellent for the caliber of the restaurant. In my opinion, the Piemontese could have been indicated as a portion for two people, given its size. Not excellent in taste due to lack of aroma. The Finanziera and the good mixed fried foods. Between the first courses and the second courses, almost forty minutes of waiting. Far too many for four seconds and a not too busy restaurant room. This is my personal opinion as a person who works in the industry, as mentioned before. Having infinite wine references and not knowing how to describe them makes you sad and does not exude professionalism. Whoever built the restaurant's cellar knows, whoever was in the room that evening, did not reflect its principles and was not able to talk about it appropriately. I repeat, this is my personal opinion, I didn't want to write on Google as I would classify myself as All the people who only write 'the ugly' of a restaurant.

02/04/2024: What a great experience dining at the La Ciau Del Totnavento. Everything about this restaurant from the stunning view, service and great dishes makes it worthwhile it's Michelin star and without a doubt one of the best restaurants we have dined in Langhe region. The setting of the restaurant overseeing the hills itself is a sight, service by the staff was special, from wine recommendations to ensuring we had a lovely meal it was perfect. All the dishes we tried were delicate yet had great flavours and paid homage to the local ingredients, fine dining standards but yet staying true to the texture and flavours of the dishes. Overall a great dining experience. We had a your of the private canteen and what a special treat that was, housing more than 50K bottles, it's a sight to behold. The passion and discipline to create a collection like this is just immeasurable. Made the whole dining experience even more special. Langhe has some amazing restaurants from small Trattoria, to Osteria and some special restaurants and this one makes it up the list.

02/04/2024: Good food and served within a reasonable time, the menu and wine list offer is varied and can certainly cover the needs of all palates. The prices, for midweek lunch, a little higher than normal... however there is no question about the quality of the products. Maybe the environment could use that little bit more, but this remains my personal consideration.

30/03/2024: Un’esperienza unica nelle Langhe!! Una meravigliosa Villa con un panorama stupendo! Per un weekend rilassante è il posto giusto, anche solo per un pranzo o cena in famiglia è davvero Top 🔝

18/03/2024: Without infamy and without praise. Dinner for two with tasting menu + à la carte with starter, first course, second course, dessert, wine, water and coffee. Varied and well presented menu (and I believe you, for what you pay it is the minimum) apart from however: the partridge which had feathers inside (the waitress's response: "it's normal for them to be there, because it is hunted" - okay '...let's overlook it), the gyoza/ravioli soaked in oil, the truly anonymous Fassona joke Spartan and not very attentive sommelier, after ten minutes of consultation he brought us a good Barbaresco, but it was not the wine we wanted to pair with Pseudo-formal environment, quiet, at times elegant but of the "clean" kind, certainly the Eiffel 65 and Califano in the background with the Spotify playlist don't suit us too well There is certainly better but perhaps in the area it is the best that can be found. In short, you tell your friends about it but you certainly can't boast of having been there. "Ah, you know, I've been to Villa Garassino" is not one of the phrases with which to make a good impression, here... Perhaps during the day and as an agritourism it is more suitable

10/03/2024: Siamo stati a pranzo in 4. Abbiamo consumato un antipasto ed un piatto a testa (3 primi ed un secondo) dell’acqua, una bottiglia di vino da 25,00€ e due dolci. Le porzioni non sono abbondanti ed i sapori del cibo sicuramente non fanno ricordare ciò che si è mangiato. Abbiamo pagato 45€ a testa. Diciamo un’osteria senza pretese ma quando ti presentano il conto si trasforma in un ristorante. Mi dispiace ma non credo che ci torneremo. Comunque il personale è gentile.

04/02/2024: Wonderful tavern in the Langhe. Punctilious service. Top food and wine. I recommend rabbit with peppers but whatever you choose you can't go wrong. Extremely knowledgeable and kind owner. Thank you 🙏🇮🇹
