09/03/2026: When I'm craving gelato, I always look for gelato shops with unconventional flavors. At Picadò, I found what I was looking for: amazing ginger and saffron (to which I also added some almond, which was a bit weak). The owners are kind and friendly. They suggested I try the ginger flavor because it's not to everyone's taste, but I found it fabulous. I'll be back because you have a few other flavors I want to try.

22/02/2026: We called the restaurant 35 minutes before closing on Valentines day, the friendly staff invited us to join anyway. Beautiful village scenery, well seasoned cuisine, friendly & professional staff. Gorgeous restaurant, great for family, friends, children and romantic couplings. We appreciate good cuisine and thought the food was absolutely delicious! I will definitely recommend Ristorante la Borsarella!

18/04/2026: A place with a young and lively atmosphere. We started with a trio of appetizers, all very good and beautifully presented. The highlight was the pizza alla pala, truly excellent, especially the one with Bra sausage: flavorful and well-balanced. A positive experience.

15/04/2026: We chose this place with friends who came to visit us from Lombardy. The location is, as always, well-kept and very beautiful in terms of colors and furnishings. The welcome was professional. The menu was nice, although I would have liked a few more choices. We ordered three "Pala" (the term used on the menu) and a Caesar salad. When it was time to serve, only two "Pala" and the salad arrived; one hadn't been marked. So our friend watched us while we ate. Embarrassed, we gave him some of ours. I should start by saying that the dough was very good, but it's not the classic PALA (which has a completely different shape than a circle, more like a flatbread, is crispier, and is usually served on a wooden board). It was more like a pinsa, but we liked it anyway. The Caesar salad was also really good. The desserts were up to par. I was only disappointed that such an unpleasant mistake, in which we were served at different times, wasn't "repaired," not even by offering a coffee to our friend who had to wait. Sometimes it takes very little to make a customer understand how much a restaurant cares about them.

02/04/2026: We ate quite well for the price. The service is slow, but they're friendly. One downside is the bathrooms, which are at the bottom of a staircase and are squat, making them a bit uncomfortable for women. We returned after about three months, and the chef needs to be changed because he uses garlic excessively. And the service is very slow.

30/03/2026: We stopped by on a Sunday for lunch and barely found a seat, as the restaurant, although quite large, was packed! It's clear it's a local favorite. A genuine, no-frills country trattoria. We had Roman-style gnocchi (very good), Piedmontese boiled meat with salsa verde (the latter truly outstanding), sweet potatoes, and coffee. A 1/4 cup wine and water were under €20 each, a price that's becoming a dream almost everywhere else. The only downside, if you'll excuse me, was the tiramisu made with panettone instead of ladyfingers... The candied fruit and raisins with coffee bothered me; I would have preferred to know this beforehand to decide whether or not to try this reinterpretation of the dessert. In any case, it's impossible to rate this place poorly; I highly recommend it.

Irish-inspired and located in Breo, it has stood out for its authenticity and passion since its inception: not just any brewery, but a place combining quality beer, music, and conviviality. Sandro, fondly remembered by generations of Mondovì residents, gave Il Caimano a soul, leaving an indelible mark on the community. Today, the establishment is managed by Mattia Jimbo Manassero, a reliable and dedicated man, along with two other people: an experienced, friendly, and approachable team, who carry on this legacy with dedication. The brewery maintains its intimate atmosphere, spread across two floors and featuring an outdoor terrace. It is within walking distance and welcomes guests until late at night. Its blue facade makes it easily recognizable in the small square, near the parking lots on Corso Statuto. The venue also stands out for its connection to music: over time, it has hosted live events and befriended many musicians who have become regulars. Inside, you can still admire a rich collection of vinyl records and cassettes, a testament to the passion for rock, blues, and jazz. The venue offers a welcoming atmosphere, ideal for spending evenings with friends. Soft lighting and a relaxed atmosphere invite you to linger and enjoy a good beer, with a selection to suit even the most discerning palates. A space dedicated to musical performances gives the Caimano an extra edge, hosting evenings with local artists and bands. On Christmas Eve, December 24th of each year, it has become a tradition for many Mondovì residents to gather here, confirming the deep bond between the venue and the community. Despite being lively and vibrant, it remains important to visit with respect, restraint, and caution, given the reports of tense incidents. A little personal anecdote: I left my gloves there, but I don't mind; as Freud said, we forget things in places where we feel comfortable. Il Caimano Felice is more than just a brewery: it's a piece of Mondovì history, a place that unites generations, music, and passion, and one that deserves to be preserved and honored.

15/03/2026: I really appreciated the kindness of the staff, whom I had contacted by phone in advance to make sure there was a vegan option. They were very helpful in saving it for me. The jam brioche (top right) was good, but it would be even nicer to find some other options, such as dark chocolate, since it's already used in the classic brioches. The variety of plant-based drinks available (soy, oat, almond, and rice) was also very much appreciated. In any case, I recommend it if you're in Mondovì 😊

10/11/2025: Lovely place, a little old-fashioned! Incredible food! Definitely worth a try and a return visit! Prices are slightly above average (average second price €25), but the quality justifies the price!

07/11/2025: The food is truly excellent; there must be a very good chef. The place is quite small and therefore fills up quickly. It's best to book because the dishes are truly interesting.
