19/03/2025: My girlfriend and I went about 2 months ago.. the place was nice but the food was nothing special, no praise, no infamy in the area for the same price, there are better ones.

07/03/2025: I want to be pampered and so I treat myself to lunch in this place I didn't know about. Inside, it is divided into rooms (much appreciated for avoiding noise and relaxing) which are clean and have minimalist furnishings with retro cues. At the entrance, professional welcome from Noemi with a sunny smile, boy at the tables present for every request without being intrusive and punctual explanation of the dishes. But now we come to the dishes: homemade Russian salad with a delicate flavor but one that tickles the taste (one of the best I've eaten in recent years), CBT egg with excellent black truffle and well-balanced flavor and then rice (correct cooking point) with burrata red beetroot (expertly dosed so as not to cover the beetroot) and black truffle (in flakes and in quantity). Let me start by saying that I am a vegetarian and had not booked, but Stefano (the chef) had no problems in preparing such inviting and varied dishes for me (and this is not a given, many times if you don't book you have to settle for omelettes and salads). The place is run by young guys, but their competence, smile and desire to make and offer tasty, colorful and excellent dishes made my day even more "pampering".

This is where the Università del Gusto, founded by the association, is located and the headquarters of the global organization for the promotion of natural and traditionally produced food. The Osteria del Boccondivino is located in the courtyard of the Slow Food headquarters. Together with its sister restaurant Osteria dell' Arco in Alba, it is one of the only restaurants in the world run by Slow Food - you can't get more Slow Food than that. Traditional local dishes with genuine ingredients from trusted local producers. No wonder Bra became a place of pilgrimage for gourmets from all over the world. What is astonishing is that the restaurants simply and unspectacularly serve their Piedmontese specialties every day to both locals and tourists interested in culinary delights. The restaurant terrace is a place of relaxation and enjoyment. Not only is the entire range of Piedmontese cuisine on offer here, but also a large selection of first-class wines from the region - the prices are sensationally low - this may also be because the restaurants are run by a cooperative. Our dinner began with first-class starters: Fassone beef tartare, Lardo and the famous Salsicia di Bra as well as crispy baked sweetbreads on caramelized onions and the legendary Tajarin, Piedmontese fine egg noodles made with 40 egg yolks per kg of flour. Afterwards we tried tender roast veal with rosemary jus or gravy and roasted peppers. The panna cotta offered here is one of the best in the world among gourmets and my favorite Bunet also tasted exceptionally good. The Rosé Diagonal from the Repetto winery in Sarezzano was a first-class accompaniment to this culinary summer evening in Bra.

03/03/2025: Coup de foudre pour ce restaurant simple et élégant où l'on vous accueille avec une souriante décontraction. Dans cet établissement historique, on vous proposera des plats de la tradition piémontaise réalisés avec un savoir-faire incomparable (vitello tonnato, finanziera, anguille en sauce), mais aussi des mets innovateurs ou carrément végan (tortino d'épinards avec paté de foie, ou jeunes artichauts frits avec aïoli végétal, ou encore un gâteau de betteraves au chocolat avec sauce au gingembre d'une légèreté peu commune). On pourrait trouver la cuisine peu relevée, presque timide, mais elle permet de déguster toutes les saveurs des ingrédients proposés. Vin de la région en accompagnement. Ce repas a été une belle surprise et nous retournerons volontiers piocher dans la carte régulièrement tenue à jour. Bravo et merci à tous!

02/03/2025: Ristorante nel cuore di Alba che coniuga tradizione ( salsiccia di bra, vitello tonnato, agnolotti), con innovazione ( carciofo aperto, carciofi fritti con aioli vegetale, torta di funghi e miso). Ottima selezione di primi e dolci. Opzioni per vegetariani. Carta dei vini notevole. Prezzo adeguato ( in 6 con 2 piatti a testa, un Nebbiolo e 3 dolci , speso 250 euro).

08/02/2025: Small but well-kept place with modern furniture. Welcoming and friendly staff. I asked for plin ravioli with Bra sausage ragout. They were excellent. The pasta although fresh was cooked al dente. the ragù had a ratio of 1/3 tomato sauce 2/3 minced meat. I asked more or less how much it weighed and after he replied he told me that if I wanted it a little bigger they could do it. I did this and I haven't regretted it. It immediately made a good impression on me that it was packed with customers constantly coming in and out, you could read the satisfaction in their faces. When I go to Bra again I know where to eat!

02/03/2025: È proprio vero che l' apparenza inganna. Siamo andati per le recensioni positive dell' osteria. Dall' esterno non vi viene voglia di entrare... internamente si presenta più come un bar, l' arredamento è datato... insomma i dubbi che si mangi bene ci sono. Ma poi c'è il sig.Paolo gentilissimo che ti accoglie e ti indica il menù, abbiamo mangiato una degustazione di antipasti, con salsiccia di Bra buonissima, e fassona al coltello... Lo scamone su piastra è fenomenale tenerissimo, ottima qualità di carne. E il dolce semifreddo alla nocciola...una bontà. Pulizia impeccabile. Complimenti.

The only risk is getting carried away and ordering more than you eat. While you wait for the main courses, you can delight yourself with the house delicacies, consisting of breaded and fried mozzarella + potato croquettes + pasta timbale + more. I ate the "Panuozzo Napoli" with sausage, broccoli and smoked provola: simply "fantastic" like everything else that arrived at the table, including dessert and coffee. Must try!!!

05/03/2025: Clean and tastefully furnished rooms. Very central area, close to the station and the centre. The structure is very beautiful, ancient and very well kept. There is a bar right below the rooms, which is very convenient in the morning. There is plenty of parking and it's easy to find. Excellent both for those who work in the area and for tourists heading to the Langa.

09/01/2025: Usually I never dwell on reviews but this time it's necessary I have wonderful memories of this place when as a child I used to come to buy chocolates with my grandfather and I still remember the scent that could be smelled at the entrance and already 30 years ago they were ahead with selected products, not the usual cheap goods, years later I returned, the place has changed sector, but the soul inside the place is still the same... we look for quality like 30 or more years ago by tasting excellent coffees with raw materials and croissants top quality! Without taking anything away from Bra, but both the place and the very knowledgeable owner would be seen well in some historic center of any art city... because in this place there is art... Congratulations!
