12/06/2026: A truly outstanding meal in a lovely outdoor setting. We loved Tajerin al Burro e Salvia with added truffles and also the Capocollo in Agrodolce con Cipollotti e Mele. Great selection of wines by the glass.

07/06/2026: Here you are pampered in a pleasant, uncomplicated way. The weather was nice, so we chose to eat outside. The table is beautifully set. Concise menu. Which you cannot say about the wine list. It is incredibly long. But don't worry, the super friendly staff can help you well with this. The chosen dishes were delicious. The wine, chosen by myself, paired perfectly with them. To finish, a cheese board with a glass of Barolo. Excellent, surprising cheeses. Highly recommended!

07/06/2026: We ate here on our first day in Piemonte, where we have two objectives: eat good food and drink good wine. In one meal at 4 Ciance these were easily met and exceeded. The food was delightful: we had the four (6 really) course tasting menu: gazpacho and focaccia as amuse bouches, cockerel terrine, cod, seafood pasta (my favourite), veal cheek, a selection of local cheeses (my husband had the selection of desserts), and petits fours of cannoli and a little chocolate and raspberry tart. This was accompanied by a white wine from the region (grillobianche) which was light and minerally and accompanied the food perfectly. The service was fantastic - friendly and professional and attentive. The atmosphere was very pleasant - all the tables were full and everyone was enjoying themselves, but they were well spaced so you could have a conversation without needing to raise your voice; no doubt helped by the impressive vaulted ceilings. We would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone, and we found it to be well priced too, given the quality of the ingredients and the cooking. Thank you for making our first night in Piemonte so enjoyable!

14/05/2026: A truly wonderful restaurant, featured in the Michelin Guide. A genuine gastronomic experience, excellent Piedmontese cuisine, with a surf and turf menu for 45 euros. Very good value for money. The vaulted setting is magnificent and the service impeccable. Don't hesitate!

11/05/2026: We walked in this morning with no particular expectations, and left genuinely glad we had chosen this place. The welcome was immediate. Before we had even fully stepped through the door, one of the staff looked up, smiled, and said good morning. It sounds like a small thing. It is not. We found a table without trouble. The seating is well thought out: there is a mix of options, and whoever designed the space clearly understood that people come to a café not just to look at things but to actually sit, rest, and stay for a while. Comfort and aesthetics are not treated as opposites here, which already says something about the philosophy of the place. The display case was a genuine pleasure to look at. A real selection, both sweet and savory, with enough variety that you feel the kitchen has put thought into it rather than just filling space. Everything was presented with care, but the abundance felt generous rather than decorative. We were not yet settled when someone came by to let us know they would be with us shortly. Such a simple thing, and yet it changes everything. You go from feeling invisible to feeling seen. The service that followed was attentive without being intrusive, efficient without feeling rushed. The staff were clearly engaged with their work, moving with the quiet confidence of people who actually want to be there. The coffee was excellent, as it should be. But what stays with you is the overall sense that this place is run by people who understand hospitality not as a technique but as a disposition. We will be back.

09/05/2026: I love everything about this place, period. The people, the atmosphere, the sense of belonging — and that’s not even all of it. The coffee, its taste and quality, is pure perfection to me & 100% worth exploring🫶 They also have a great selection of pastries. My personal favorites are the pizzetta salata and the blackberry Danish (!!!). Special thanks to Paolo and Luca for making the whole experience feel so special.

15/03/2026: We stayed (unfortunately) only one night at Cortiletto d'Alba during a family trip. We were a group of nine and found them very accommodating to our needs. This family-run establishment exudes the passion behind every detail. The property is lovingly maintained and extremely clean. We highly recommend it.

17/05/2026: Our expectations were high, because the food is usually good. Unfortunately, this evening was disappointing. From the time we ordered to the time we were served, and there were three of us, an hour passed... and they didn't even serve us all at once. The pizza arrived 15 minutes before the burgers... and then the same thing happened for dessert, which took over half an hour. The wait staff was clearly disorganized. Some were walking around with dishes, not knowing exactly which tables to take them to. I'm sorry you failed this evening.

09/06/2026: We stopped here on a Barolo wine tour thinking it would be a good Italian trattoria. It went far beyond our expectations. It is Michelin guide recommended and for good reason! The wait staff were extremely accommodating and the food was some of the best we ate in our 2 weeks in Italy, which included restaurants in Rome, Florence and Milan. The seafood was incredibly fresh and the pasta was homemade and perfectly cooked. I highly recommend a visit!

27/05/2026: We were guests at this fantastic restaurant last night. The welcome was warm, and our table on the terrace was ideal for enjoying a warm summer evening. The waiter helped us choose from the menu, taking our preferences into account. The recommended wines were also spot on. An evening never to be forgotten and highly recommended.
