Ristorante Antica Osteria dell'Orsa In Savigliano

This is a restaurant in the historic center of Savigliano. This is our first time here for lunch. A positive first impression. Tables spaced well apart, immaculate tablecloths, and the staff were courteous and attentive. We ordered two mixed appetizers, which tasted excellent, though a little cold for me. I didn't eat the anchovies with the sauce because I don't like garlic, but that's a personal preference. Everything else was excellent. Then we ordered the plin with butter and sage, which were tasty and well-seasoned. So, we'll have to come back to try the other delicacies. Thank you.

Dinner on November 27, 2025. A pleasant atmosphere, with soothing colors on the walls and discreetly separated tables; very good acoustics, especially since it was a weekday evening. Typical Piedmontese menu, traditionally focused on appetizers and meat. Our orders were completely satisfying: the Russian salad was generously portioned and crispy, the tartare was tasty, the agnolotti with butter and sage were al dente and generously filled, and the "madama la piemonteisa" (veal rib) was moist, well-cooked, and tender. Extensive wine list. Courteous service. The bill was adequate for the experience. Rating: 9

A huge THANK YOU to Luca, who recommended this superior Piedmontese trattoria to me. Its originality, courtesy, and quality put it at the top of my favorites! In Savigliano, you don't just travel by train; you also eat very well! Just two small things that haven't changed my opinion of the trattoria, but I'll point them out for future reference: I paid for water that wasn't given to me; I asked for plin without butter, and they arrived with butter. To be fair, I was offered an exchange, but I ate them anyway, and they were excellent. This last behavior confirmed the correctness and honesty of the lady serving me... small mistakes that don't change my opinion of the trattoria, on the contrary!
