20/01/2026: For being not too far from the center, and for being a steakhouse—not so common in Rome—this was fantastic. The tomahawk steak is more than enough for one person, and the ribs are too. The tomahawk was cooked to perfection and truly filling. The price wasn't a big surprise. Two main courses and a soft drink for 35 euros is a steal in terms of price and quality; I felt like I was getting a bit of a discount. We tourists are used to paying 50 euros for one meal. It's definitely worth doing some research and finding places to eat and pay like a local. Congratulations, everything was delicious, we'll be back!

19/11/2025: Yesterday we went to the restaurant on the Tuscolana road, and what can I say? A perfect 10 for every aspect: a unique location, immersed in 1920s China; if you like that aesthetic, you're in the right place; efficient, discreet, attentive service, never intrusive or pushy; excellently prepared food, top-quality ingredients, and a surprising selection of pairings. The prices are also reasonable, absolutely accessible to everyone, from the out-of-town student to the family passionate about Asian cuisine. The cashier was friendly and helpful. A nice bonus if you promise to leave a review.

07/03/2026: I’m happy that I found tortellini en brodo in Rome for my last night and I’m also happy with the tiramisu and tagliatelle. Make sure to get reservations! They were turning people away at the door.

01/02/2026: A wonderful discovery today for lunch! We were craving typical Roman dishes, expertly cooked with authentic and wholesome ingredients: we were truly lucky to find this little place, where we were greeted with such kindness and professionalism by the girl in the dining room. Tonnarelli all'amatriciana, artichokes, baked potatoes, and homemade tiramisu. Everything was excellent! The final highlight was meeting Manuel, the owner: a kind, honest, and knowledgeable man, who told us about Nonna Mimma and her story. We'll definitely be back to try the meatballs and carbonara! 01/02/2026: Dar Bello de Nonna was a wonderful discovery. Intrigued by the name, we entered a welcoming and traditional restaurant, where you can immediately feel the authentic atmosphere of Roman tradition. The cuisine is authentic, high-quality, with excellent ingredients and absolutely fair prices. The owner's passion and professionalism are clearly evident, as he cooks with care and respect for traditional recipes, enhancing them with flavor and simplicity. We tasted the truly extraordinary tonnarelli all'amatriciana, the perfectly cooked artichokes, and an exquisite tiramisu that rounded out the meal perfectly. Each dish confirmed the quality and attention to detail. Also noteworthy is the courtesy and kindness, which make the experience even more pleasant and familiar. We will definitely return, both to try the other dishes on the menu and for the wonderful hospitality we received. A true place, like those of times gone by, truly worth discovering.

18/12/2025: One of the few Italian gelato shops that the gelato is kept in deep covered stainless-steel tubs below the display surface and not displayed under a glass display. The latter likely has more stabilizers added to hold the shape and slow the melting. We have been coming back daily the last 3 nights for their gelato. The staff was pleasant and helpful. Gelato tastes great too, with a lighter mouthfeel and melts naturally. Worth a try if you are around the area.

06/03/2026: In a quiet neighborhood, a typical Roman osteria. The carbonara was exceptional, and the appetizer simple but truly delicious. The waiters and staff were super friendly, helpful, and always smiling. Excellent value for money. Highly recommended!

24/02/2026: A lovely surprise. The team was always smiling and ready to help. All the food was excellent (the boiled meatballs, Jewish-style artichokes, amatriciana, and carbonara). The fettuccine with sausage and spare ribs was a must-try (maybe I would have added some pecorino cheese on the side along with the parmesan). The desserts were also excellent (though I would have preferred real jam on the cheesecake). The only downside is the acoustics: it's difficult to have a conversation without speaking loudly (at least on Saturdays), which is a real shame (maybe I'd add some sound-absorbing panels to the ceiling... it would make a huge difference). Overall, excellent.

07/12/2025: Filled with locals enjoying Sunday lunch with family and friends. Outstanding food, amazing service - Alessandro and all the staff were just spectacular. At their recommendation, we had the antipasto and picanha (wine etc.) - beautifully tender meat and soooo delicious! This restaurant was a highlight from this trip to Italy. Molto buono, eccellente, spettacolore!

23/02/2026: Best vegan place I've ever been! Even more beautiful and interesting than it looks in the photos. You can eat a vegan buffet for about 3.20 per 100g, which means that for less than €40 per person, we ate a lot of very high-quality vegan food, including water and dessert. The staff is extraordinary. The selection was endless: soy strips, seitan, tempeh, legumes, lasagna, cereals, bread, vegan cheese, sautéed vegetables, rustic vegan frittatas... And so on. The variety of food often featured some ingredients even repurposed in different versions, like the fake soy meat, which went from an Indian-style curry to its Italian counterpart, a scallop with mushrooms! A true delight. I also highly recommend the tempeh carpaccio: a real hit. Soft, fresh, slightly acidic; lively, complex flavor. Addictive. The system is simple: you come in, sit down, go to the counter, grab your plate, and start helping yourself to whatever you want. Then, go to the scale, and the attendant will weigh it. Every time you want more, you'll need to repeat the same procedure, and enjoy your meal. At the end of the meal, you'll pay the bill. You can also do the same with take-out trays. These are the businesses we need to support, which champion a vision of vegan eating that transcends stereotypes, where food truly matters: its preparation, the ingredients, the attention to detail. A vision where food satisfies the palate as well as the eyes, but above all, fills us up, leaving us satisfied and happy throughout the day.

22/02/2026: A very nice place in a less touristy area. They have an all-vegetarian buffet, where you can add whatever you want to your plate and then pay by weight. The dishes we ate were all delicious, flavorful but not overly spicy. I recommend it, but I recommend booking in advance. The staff is very friendly.
