03/05/2026: A wonderful restaurant. The food was delicious, but what surprised me most was the professionalism and friendliness of the staff. The dishes were tailored to our preferences, the service was impeccable, and the food itself was melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The restaurant is clean, the decor is well-thought-out, and the atmosphere among the staff is fantastic. The best restaurant of my entire week-long stay in Rome. You can tell the owner puts his heart into his business. I highly recommend it if you’re visiting the Vatican, and even if you’re not, it’s still worth stopping by Osteria

01/07/2026: Really enjoyed our meal in this lovely restaurant. The waiter made us feel very welcome and offered options outside of the menu to suit our children...my son had the meatballs with tomato sauce instead of the listed carbonara. We also had delicious burgers and sea bass. Definitely worth the 20 min walk from our hotel.

20/07/2026: Nestled in a winding narrow cobblestone street close to a lively wine bar, with the cooks gathered at the entrance, it was tempting not to walk inside this small windowless restaurant. But Lucifero was a delight, and we’re glad we did. The truffle and duck fat gnocchi was our favourite dish. The hosts were very friendly.

07/08/2026: AYE DIOS MIO! Not only is this place good but it’s 100% gluten free! When traveling to Italy, the last thing on my mind was finding a Venezuelan restaurant, let alone one that was gluten free. No words can explain the amazingness coming out of El Maiz. The owner, Frank, was extremely knowledgeable, kind, patient, and respectful. He also had such a great humor and warmth that made our experience very memorable. The empanadas de pollo was out of this world! The tostones with cabbage and carrot slaw were extremely well seasoned and delicious. However, no mater what you get, you MUST get the tartara sauce. It was OUT OF THIS WORLD. Frank needs to bottle it up and sell it by the jar! To round off the meal, we had the flan and tres leches. I have not had tres leches since becoming gluten free. I had forgotten how amazing tres leches is. We loved it so much, we ordered more to take home. While it is not what you expect to eat while in Italy, it was the BEST meal I had in Rome. I am forever grateful to Frank and everyone at El Maiz for such an amazing meal and experience with fellow hispanos. I cannot recommend this place enough. Make sure you stop here on your next trip to Rome, especially if you are near the Vatican (only a 10 min walk from St. Peter’s Square)!

All dishes were made with high quality ingredients and had complex flavours. comfortable ambience, nice servers, reasonable pricing. 13/08/2026: What a wonderful discovery in Piazza della Liberazione. It's rare to find such a refined place in Palestrina, where every course seems like a small masterpiece of presentation. We were enchanted by the attention to detail, like the precisely placed lime slice on the gyoza. The fried shrimp was perfect, crispy and light, accompanied by an excellent sauce that harmoniously complemented the dish. Everything we tasted was incredibly fresh and served with great attention. We will definitely be back soon to try other items on the menu.

15/07/2026: The place is really cute, with a lovely atmosphere in one of the squares in Palestrina's historic center. It's spotlessly clean and refined. We're not talking about affordability, but rather quality and fresh fish. The combinations are excellent, with predominantly lemon notes, creating a fresh flavor, and the spicy flavors are well-balanced. If you're looking for a pleasant evening, especially outdoors in the summer, I highly recommend it. The various bao buns are also excellent!

17/08/2026: I knew the shop on Via del Governo Vecchio. I thought it was gone, but I'm rediscovering this place. Where is the food really good? And the cured meats are top-quality. The cheeses are also top-quality. The service is efficient and good, and the prices are reasonable. After all, I've eaten there. At the one by the Trevi Fountain.

07/07/2026: A very good little restaurant located near the Trevi Fountain. The spaghetti alla carbonara is excellent. A real treat. The price is reasonable and the service is pleasant.

03/07/2026: What a wonderful discovery in the heart of Rome. We were enchanted by the quality of the offerings and the welcoming atmosphere. The mixed platter was a true revelation for the palate, especially the incredible variety of cured meats, cheeses, and pickles served in those delightful little ceramic bowls. Everything was incredibly fresh and presented with great care. We particularly appreciated the excellent glass of red wine, the perfect accompaniment to the meal. An experience I highly recommend to anyone seeking authentic and genuine flavors. We will definitely be back to try other specialties.

05/05/2026: We arrived spontaneously without a reservation, and although the restaurant was fully booked, they managed to get us a table. The food was a 10/10 and by far the best we had in six days in Rome. It tasted fantastic and was beautifully presented. The service was also very attentive, and the courtyard is a lovely place to relax. I highly recommend eating here.
