19/07/2026: I've had this place on my bucket list for a while, and I finally stopped by yesterday. Just one taste was enough to know it's definitely going to be one of my favorites. The pizza is truly excellent, with quality ingredients and a memorable dough. One of those places you leave already thinking about when you'll be back! ❤️

02/07/2026: "Prima la materia" is truly a place to return to: 1. For the QUALITY of its offerings, which always focus on the use of seasonal vegetables (I've never found pizza alla vignarola anywhere else—a unique Roman side dish made with vegetables that are available for a few weeks each year) and carefully selected ingredients. 2. For the UNIQUENESS of its offerings (to give just a few examples: pizza with leek, lemon, and caramelized onion; double-sided pizza with fresh tomato and smoked provola on one side and onion rings on the other). ! ATTENTION! There's no shortage of classic options. There's the timeless white pizza; a red pizza with a garlic and parsley marinade that's unacceptably good; and a wonderful pizza with baked potatoes and rosemary. In addition to the pizza slices, there's always: - An extra dish: usually a soup of the day, otherwise replaced by other interesting options - An interregional/international selection of fried foods (supplì, falafael, and cecina are a must) 3. For Marzia and Carlo, who run the place with a special kindness and generosity. Furthermore, the fact that they aren't vegetarian but that their food is vegetarian is a further sign of the ethical choices that underpin their business. You can buy Gaza Cola here, the cups and placemats are recyclable, and the pizza trays are made of wood. I'll conclude by saying that I'm not someone who spends time writing reviews on Google Maps, and I didn't know these people before discovering this pizzeria. I think it's worth taking the time to describe a place where you can eat well in an extraordinary way.

25/07/2026: Service is terrible: the waiter look annoyed to answer questions, he walked away from our table mid-sentence (didn’t fully understand our order and we just had to deal with it), and then he just smoked a cigarette next to our table.

03/07/2026: The quality of the dishes is unquestionable: well-chosen ingredients, meticulous preparation, and interesting pairings, with a cuisine that interprets local flavors in an original and compelling way. The only real flaw is the portions, which I found significantly smaller than expected.

13/10/2025: It was actually better than I expected! I tried the hazelnut and stracciatella flavors, and they were really good. It’s definitely a nice spot, though not the best gelato I’ve had in Rome.

21/04/2026: Gegè is my go-to place when I want something tasty and delicious. The fried foods are superb, and the pizza is truly delicious, well-seasoned and filling. I highly recommend it!

20/04/2026: Very good experience. The service is incredible and the person who served us was simply adorable. The value for money is exceptional. As I was just passing through, I went back several times, which I normally never do. I highly recommend it. Even for people who don’t eat meat, the choice is very wide. A big thank you for this exceptional welcome.

14/08/2026: A well-maintained and welcoming place, easy to find, and with plenty of parking (there's even a charging station for electric cars). The pizza is delicious, and there's a huge selection—try them all!

14/08/2026: We often go to this pizzeria, especially in the summer, to escape the Roman heat. Their outdoor tables are actually wonderful. The fried food is very tasty and fragrant, and the pizza is never ordinary, well-cooked, and very good. Excellent value for money.

09/08/2026: Great tucked in place. Saltimbocca was good and the octopus salad was delicious. Not sure what happened to the cacio e pepe but it was a bit watery. Flavor was there though. Overall good experience.

19/07/2026: Splendid, shining with its own light… How could it be anything other than Sole e Luna?! Every detail is taken care of. The cuisine? Spectacular, thanks to the chef and his brother Giulio, an exemplary host. Long live Lucia, may all evils be taken away 😊❤️

02/06/2026: Small breakfast bar. The coffee was very good, especially the pistachio croissant. The lady who took your money before you ordered was a bit rude, but I imagine it was because she was older and we didn't understand each other very well. The place is a bit small but cozy.

01/06/2026: This cafe was recommended for a local breakfast, but I stopped by to buy some bread for a snack. The pain au chocolat is 1.6 euros and has a soft, buttery flavor. It is so charming and delicious!

30/07/2026: I heard that what I consider to be the best burger joint and craft beer bar in Pigneto, Officina Burger'n'Beer, had grown and become TIMELESS by moving to Via Alberto da Giussano, and I immediately returned! Generally, when a place expands, there's always a loss in quality or attention to detail, but here the leap forward is impressive: as soon as I entered, I was amazed by the splendid vintage speakeasy-style lounge, meticulously designed down to the smallest details but with the same welcoming atmosphere as always. The menu has improved even further: in addition to their legendary Grass Fed burgers and historic pub-style craft beers, they now offer incredible club sandwiches, slow-cooked meats, and incredible artisanal fried foods (the meatballs with marinated chicken and confit peppers are my favorite, and the fish & chips are excellent!). Plus, it's now also perfect as a cocktail bar (very basic list) for aperitifs or after-dinner drinks, with an excellent selection of gins, spirits, wines, and artisanal liqueurs. Finally, the music playing is always really cool, so what can I say? They're still among the best in Rome. Bravo! Bravo! P.S. Kudos to the owner, Andrea, who continues to be there with the same enthusiasm, always behind the taps and making sure everything runs smoothly, despite the passing of a few years.

29/07/2026: I came here for the first time thanks to a friend's recommendation. The atmosphere was fantastic and welcoming, thanks in part to the owner Andrea. The food was excellent, from appetizers to burgers. The selection of craft beers was excellent. Definitely worth a try.
